It was me, My swampert, Umbreon, the opponnent and his Lugia. These were the last three pokemon of the battle. This Lugia knew Reflect, Light Screen, Safeguard and recover. Because of this lugia's weird moveset this battle dragged on for ever and NOTHING was being done. Swampert faints due to confusion and Umbreon ran out of attack moves. So this battle becomes a double team vs safeguard battle. I totally gave up the battle because nothing was being done. After that i was stuck in a losing streak... back to square one.

Sounds like a shallow victory on your opponents part. Though, it would have been funny if you had access to the move taunt.

Brick Break wouldn't have done s**t in this situation. Though, Taunt would force the opponent to struggle to death. I've never ran into this problem since I carry a lot of pokemon with brute strength.

I've never ran into this problem since I carry a lot of pokemon with brute strength. Well, Brick break would shatter the barriers (Reflect and Light Screen) and Taunt would force the Lugia into Struggle.

Kyo the III Kyrenx You should of pushed on until it came down to struggle. pirate I agree This pretty much. Drag on and release every amount of energy left and give then hell till you drop. That's the rule of being a warrior in my case of battling.

I thought about doing that I really did but I had to go to school. Like If i didn't go then I probably would have stayed but who knows.

We had a Pokemon Stadium 1 tournament almost end one of it's rounds in a struggle. It was Moltres vs Arcanine and after 15-20 minutes of nothing but Leer, Agility and Reflect, the win was given to Arcanine as it had more HP left than Moltres. Quite funny because the guy running Moltres REALLY didn't want to lose the first round. xd
