 Ah...another beautiful morning. Frost bursted out of the cave and lifted her head up high, sniffing the crisp fresh air. There was not a single cloud in the sky. A breeze carried the light snowflakes to the ground. Speaking of the ground, the ground is white. Snow white, pure white. Oh yes, it was marvelous. Snow covered every inch of the ground for as far as the eye can see. But it was more than just wonderfully pure white. It was also cold and wet. Frost pulled a paw out of the snow.
"It's wet!" She wrinkled her nose and giggled.
Frost pounced happily through the snow, each time tossing the soft flakes into the air. In the distance, she could see colors. They seem to be floating in mid-air. Curious, she trotted towards the floating colors.

 Ziya dug around in the snow trying to find his twin, his multicolored tail wagging in the air. He groaned; she always did this, hiding from him when all he wanted to do was make sure she was safe. He sat back after a few minutes to take a break. She was probably long gone by now, so he might as well give up. She'd show up sometime later, having gotten in trouble or something. He saw a female coming toward him, and turned in her direction.

As Frost got closer, she saw that it was in fact not a blob of floating colors. There in front of her was a white Datsi digging in the snow. Oh how he must love the snow, just like her! Snow was wonderful and she was glad that he liked it too. His coat matched so nicely with the beautiful snow on the ground. She smiled.
"I wonder what he's doing, digging up all that snow. Gee, it must be a lot of useless work. He should just roll in it and have fun", she thought to herself.
Suddenly, he sat up looking frustrated, and then turned to look at her. Frost froze in her spot, startled. Had he just heard her thoughts? She was pretty sure she didn't say anything aloud. Slowly and cautiously, Frost approached the white Datsi.
"Hello, wonderful day isn't it?"

Ziya gave Frost a small smile. "I suppose it is, I haven't really had a chance to appreciate it," he said as he looked up at the pale sky. He wondered just where Zahra was on a day like this. "Say, you haven't seen a Datsi around that looks like me, have you?" He shook his head, figuring it was no use. "Never mind. I'm Ziya, it's nice to meet you," he smiled.

"Hmm..." Frost pondered for a moment. "No, I haven't. I would know. Someone as colorful as you is hard to miss." She grinned. "A pleasure to meet you, I'm Frostlin. Buuuuut, call me Frost or Frosty. I like that better. Don't know why she named me that. Honestly, she doesn't even call me Frostlin..." Frost rambled on, frowning now and then.
"So." She smiled. "What brings you to this area? I swear I have never seen you before."

Ziya smiled softly. That was true, usually. but Zahra had gotten good at hiding from him in general. He wondered at her ramblings, but that was okay. He was used to his sister rambling as well. "Well, I was looking for my sister, but seeing as how she's evaded me yet again, I'm left without plans." And in the company of such a pretty Datsi, why would he need plans? The thought startled him for a moment, he who never thought about anything but his sister and keeping her safe.

Frost giggled and then frowned, looking at the ground. Girls love to hide, she thought. She wished she had a brother who would go looking for her like him. She sighed. Frost didn't really have much of a family, just her and her parents who was...somewhere. Where, she didn't know. Glancing up, she saw that he was waiting for her to speak. She lifted her head, smiling.
"I don't have any plans either. Do you want to play?" She beamed. Then she realized there was still his sister. "Oh how rude of me, we should look for your sister first. Where to?"

"Nah, I think she'll be fine for a while. We should play!" he smiled. After all, how much trouble could Zahra get into? Scratch that. He knew how much she could get into, but right now he'd rather play with Frost. "What would you like to do?" he asked. She was one of the few Datsi's he'd met so far, and he liked her company.

Frost thought for a moment, looking around. There really wasn't much they could do. On one side of them, the snow was as far as she could see. On the other side, there was a couple of trees scattered in the middle of nowhere. The playground was miles away and she wasn't much in the mood for walking all the way down there.
"Let's build a snowman!" She hoped he liked the snow. "Unless you want to do something else?"

Ziya looked around as she did, seeing the same snow and trees. "We could build a snowman..." he started slowly, nodding. After a moment, he grinned at her, his tail moving back and forth in the cold air. "Or we could build a snow fort!" he laughed lightly, thinking that a fort would be awesome, they could hide in it and throw snowballs at anyone who passed by.

"Oh yes, a snow fort!" Frost giggled. "Or even better, let's build two! Then we can hide in them and have a snowball fight. C'mon Ziya!"
She was already pouncing through the snow as she spoke. Excitedly, she looked around. How fun it would be to build a snow fort, she thought. Spotting a nice piece of untouched snow, she trotted up to it.
"Perfect."

Ziya smiled, "Sounds like a plan!" he followed her quickly and chose a spot across and a little diagonal from the one she picked. Leaping up over the small hill of snow, he dug out a hole from which he could see above and around to Frost's fort. Once he was satisfied with the way his fort was built, he started making snowballs, building a little pile of them in the middle so he could reach them wherever he was standing inside.

Frost laughed as she watched Ziya work with such enthusiasm. After a few moments, she decided to get started herself. Frost stuck her nose in the snow and pushed it forward to make a pile. Once she had a big enough pile to hide herself, Frost looked at her fort.
"There's something missing..." She trotted to the nearby tree and found a long branch, then hauled it back and stuck it on the very top of the pile. "Perfect!"
Frost grinned and sat down in the snow. She started to make a pile of snowballs, all the while humming a sweet tune to herself and swinging her tail gently from one side to another.

Ziya peered over his pile of snow and watched as Frost built her own and started to make her snowballs. His rear end wiggled with excitement, his multicolored tail waving high above his fort. "I'm gonna get you~" he said softly, picking up a small snowball to begin with. Aiming carefully, he hurled it, gently, toward Frost's fort, smacking into the pile instead of flying over it.

A nice pile of snowballs were stocked just in reach of Frost's paw, set in a pyramid shape near the center of the wall. Frost giggled as she peered over the wall of her fort.
"Missed me!" She shouted over to Ziya, sticking her tongue out at him.
Carefully, she took her aim. His fort was a little further than she expected. I should have built mine closer. She thought. But then again, that only makes it easier for him. Frost threw the snowball and it came short, landing a couple inches from his wall.
