((Please excuse the really stupid rp name, I am fairly bad at naming these things >.< ))
Zeta was sitting alone on the south edge of the village, preparing to venture into the forest. Night was swiftly setting and the air was growing chilly. Smiling to himself, he wondered how frightening the forest truly was at night. Tonight, he decided, he would spend the whole dark night in the forest seeing what there was to see.

((lol it's okay, I'm not all that great at it either XD)) Kalpana bounded around the village looking for something fun to do. She was just so full of energy, the Datsi's she knew couldn't keep up all the time. Not finding anything, she ventured outside the village boundaries to see a male sitting at the edge. Without hesitation, she ran right up to him. "Hi!!" she said grinning. "Whatcha doin'?" Her tail wagged behind her, the light green tuft at the end a blur.

"Hel-lo" Zeta replied slowly, deliberately tilting his speak in a fun, happy way, "I was considering spending the night exploring the forest....What are you doing?"
Smiling lightly, he tried to wag his tail as fast as Kalpana, though couldn't quite manage it. Laughing he questioned:
"So how exactly do you get your tail to move that fast?"

Kalpana giggled, "I'm talking to you, silly! But that sounds like fun!! Can I come with you?" She spoke a mile a minute, her whole body shaking with her excitement and meeting a new friend. "Huh?" she asked and looked back at her tail. "Ooohhh....I dunno! It does that all the time!" She giggled again and grinned.

Bouncing up from his haunches to stand upright, he steadied himself as laughter rushed forth.
"The night would be more interesting with you around" he exclaimed, sapphire eyes flashing amusement. "Isn't anyone going to miss you though?"
Zeta stretched, fluffing out his awesomely green chest fur, "oh hey! maybe we'll find a treasure out there! Something shiny perhaps"
Her energy was really catchy, he thought.

She liked the sound of his laugh, it made her happy that she could cause such a sound to come from anyone. Usually, the Datsi's she lived with were aggravated, wanting her to settle down. But she couldn't, she was so curious and had so much energy. She shook her head, "Nuh uh, they're all asleep already," she said rolling her eyes, as if everyone should have as much energy as she. She gasped at the mention of treasures and shiny things, and her eyes widened. "Really?? You think so? That would be SO COOL!" She danced around in a little circle. "What are we waiting for? Let's go!" And she was off and running for the forest, looking back every few seconds to make sure he was behind her.

Reveling in the way the air rushed about his body, Zeta chased after her with a grin. Normally he hadn't a soul to talk to, everyone here could be so dull. That was partially the reason he'd decided to explore the forest in the first place. Now here he was chasing after a (possibly) crazy, definitely silly female in the dark forest after shiny treasures. Surely life couldn't get much more fun!
"Race you to those trees!" he called, knowing he'd probably lose, but reveling in the fun of it all.

Kalpana loved the cool air rushing through her fur as the older male chased her. Shrieking with laughter and happiness that she'd found someone so much fun to be with, she put on another burst of speed. "I'm gonna beat you!!!" she yelled back to him and kept her eyes on the front trees. She burst past them and rolled head over heels, landing on her back and panting heavily between giggles.

Shaking with laughter, Zeta put on a burst of speed to end in last, collapsing beside Kalpana. Whoever thought villagers could be this much fun? Of course he'd never actually tried to race any of the others.
"You win" he panted, "Now we just have to find something shiny to be your prize!"
His ears twitched as his body cooled, a cute little awkward tick that had happened since he was a babe. Then, something occurred to him.
"What is your name anyway? I'm Zeta!"

"Yay!! I win!" she giggled and rolled over onto her stomach to look at him. "Yesh. Something shiny." She watched his ears twitch and tried to make her own do that. "How'd you do that?" she asked with a grin, pointing at his ears. "Oh! I'm Kalpana, but you can call me Pana. Or Kiki. Or Kallie!" she giggled, "I has lots of nicknames." She nodded solemnly, though the grin on her face did nothing to help the solemnity of her nod.

"Do What? My ears? They have a mind of their own!" Smiling he rolled about on the ground. "You do seem to have a lot of nicknames"
Hopping up and taking a deep breath, Zeta took a look around. IT was lucky he could see well at night or her might be worried by the inky blackness of the night. Though it was darker than normal, and he wondered why.
"We should head that way" he looked further east, knowing they should stay close to the village this late, but wanting to seem brave and impressive. That and he really did want to find Kalpana something shiny to thank her for coming with him.

Kalpana nodded and giggled, "Just like my tail!" She waited just a moment before hopping up after him, and shaking the dirt from her fur. "Okay!" she said, trusting Zeta to not get them lost in the forest. "You lead the way and I'll follow!" She was very excited by the prospect of finding shiny treasures in the forest, the teenage Datsi unafraid of the darkness of the night.

Bouncing slightly with each step, Zeta led the way deeper and deeper into the forest. It seemed like forever when he finally sat down for a break. Yawning, he turned to look at Kalpana.
"This forest is so--Oh hey! What is that!" Excited, he hoped to his feet, tail wagging and ears twitching in excitement as he watched the spectacle around them.
The forest was alive with thousands of glowing moths, each one sparkling like moonlight. It was amazing and new, and Zeta was excited to have found found a 'treasure'.
"looks like we found your treasure!"

The young Datsi followed her new friend as he went deeper into the forest. The deeper they went, the closer to him she walked. His yawn sparked one in her and she sat near him. Blinking her eyes, she grinned and giggled at the glowing moths. "So pretty!" she said as she found more energy to jump and chase after the moths. "You're the best, Zeta!" she giggled and rubbed her side against his before going back too playing in the moths.

Laughing, Zeta joined her, jumping and playing like a babe among the fluttering moths until he was too tired to move and collapsed among them on a bed of moss. This, he had to admit, was the most fun he'd ever had in his life.
"This is great!" Vaguely, he wondered if they should head back to the village, but then he reminded himself that he didn't much care for it and yawned deeply.
