Kimbilio was nervous. Reeeeally nervous. Deep in his heart he was certain that he had done the right thing, and in all other ways it sure felt like it. But this? He was scared, returning here, returning to her. He couldn't help it; he wanted to impress her. Though there was a nagging feeling that he wasn't doing it in the right way.
The only way that he did know was to confront the situation, and here he was, going to find her. Mng'ariza. With a gulp, he wandered towards where he thought the Wolf clan was, his inability to simply fly there making the trek a little more terrifying with each step.

It had been rather hectic in a few ways with new little siblings around that she hadn't had much time to herself. She enjoyed helping her mother take care of the cubs and her siblings seemed to enjoy her helping out too. IT hadn't left much time for anything fun though.
Now that they were a bit older she'd managed to escape for a bit while her parents taught them a few things about stalking prey. She hadn't seen Kimbi around in a while and wondered when he was going to come back. Gods probably had a lot of work to do and visiting her couldn't be -that- high on the list.

A few more steps. Then a pause. Another few steps. Whew, this was going to wear him out and he wasn't even there yet! He did his best to calm himself down, but doubts still flooded his mind. He hadn't been paying complete attention to those around him, figuring that he would need to find Ariza's parents before locating her. Hopefully...
His thought dashed from his mind, as he looked up and spotted her. Right there. He froze in his tracks, his fluffy mane swaying slight with the small breeze. She was a little more different than she remembered. It was probably the tattoos, but it also felt like there was a little something more.

She leaned down slightly to rub a bit of dust from her face before sitting down with a soft sigh. She was bored and yet she didn't want the excitement of the cubs at the moment. It would be nicer if something happened just not ... well she wasn't sure but she'd know it when it happened if she liked it or not.
She tipped her head to the side before looking around. Her eyes eventually spotted someone else not far from her. "Oh ..." Getting up she turned toward them. They looked familiar ... somehow.

Gulp. There she was!
Now was the moment. He felt himself taking one slow step forward, one at the time. Breathe, breathe. Oh man, what was she thinking? That he was crazy? Probably.
It was a slow process. The closer he got, his muscles relaxed but his stomach tightened. Could he really do this?
When he got close enough, he smiled a weak smile. "Hi, Ariza."

It couldn't be ... he'd have told her if he had children right?
Her thoughts tumbled over each other wondering why the lion reminded her so much of the god. A mass of questions that she didn't know how to answer until he spoke.
"Kimbi?!" Her eyes widened as she looked at him. He was everything she remembered except for ... "Where are your wings? Why are you smaller?!" She scampered over the few steps between them and made a quick circle of him before coming back around to face him. "Did you get hurt? You're not hurt are you?"

The flood of questions was almost dizzying. He tried to keep himself steady, but felt a little touched (and embarassed) about how much she worried about his state of being.
"I'm all right," he said with a shy smile. "There's a lot to explain..." And where should he start? "I guess I should just go out and say it. I'm not a god anymore."
His tail twitched, wondering what her reaction would be. He felt so sick with worry that it was hard for him to focus.

His words shocked her a bit and she sat back on her haunches heavily. "... what?" He wasn't a god anymore? You could just -stop- being a god? "How ... you can do that?"
She tipped her head and looked steadily at him. "Why? I mean i know you said before that you weren't sure how to be a god but i believe in you and i know you could do whatever you set your mind to .... did you do it yourself or did someone do this to you? If someone hurt you ...."

He nodded solemnly.
"Gods can," he said, remembering that he wasn't one of them anymore, though he was certain his siblings would argue otherwise. "There were a lot of reasons, and one of them was how I felt about not being good enough." He fell silent for a moment. It wasn't that he doubted her, it was how he had doubted himself.
"After visiting you, I found someone that would be much better than me. It was rude to do it on my own without asking anyone, even him." How much should he say? He had already been confronted, so what was there to spill?
"You may have heard, but Tawa'di returned. As a god." It was a hint as to whom he passed his godhood too. A sort of essence, he thought it as.

Her head stayed tipped as she listened to him. It was good that no one had hurt him and somehow taken his god-hood away from him. She didn't know how she'd have been able to take someone hurting him or how she'd get back at them if that was the case.
The last bit caught her off guard again. She had heard that Tawa'di had come back, her mother had been delighted to hear, but she'd never heard how or why.
"You ... you gave up your god-hood so Tawa could come back to us, i mean the pride that is?" She smiled slightly before getting up and moving closer so she could nuzzle him slightly. "I still think you should believe in yourself more ... but i know you made everyone so happy to have him back."

He exhaled a breathe that he didn't realize he was holding in. There, good. "Honestly, I felt like he could do more good than I could. And I know he will do everything in his power to protect his place, and the people that live here, as well as the ones that seek refuge in this quiet pride."
Still, he felt a little tipsy with that nuzzle. Because... "Also, there was another reason. I did say there were many, right?" he smirked with a small wink. "I, um, wanted to stay here. With you."

"Im sure you could have done more good than you think you could have." She smiled as she leaned back to look at him. She was about to tell him something else when his other words filtered through her head.
"You ... with me?"

He looked a little worried again. He smiled a little sheepishly, "Er, yes, if you wouldn't mind that." He sure hoped not, since he had been hoping that it would work out quite well for the both of them, but then, that was always the problem of not laying out your plans with anyone but yourself. You didn't know what could happen.

"You really .. want to stay with me?" Her eyes widened as she thought about that. She'd had a crush on him since they were little but she'd never thought he'd be able to stay with her. He was a god and they had better things to do than spend time with girls with crushes right?
"I'm not dreaming am i? I don't remember falling asleep but my little siblings are a handful so i could be asleep. My dreams aren't usually this good though .... you really mean it Kimbi? Does that mean you like me too?"

Well, this was a turn of events! He didn't think it would happen like this! He smiled, resisting a little laugh, and gave her a slight tap on the cheek with his paw.
"If you were dreaming, I wouldn't be such a mess, right?" He was a little dusty, but he wasn't used to being this dirty, either. Walking everywhere sure was a lot of work.
