Okay, both on fanfiction.net, and here, apparently, antis seem to delight in posting stories and threads detailing various ways to kill Kikyou, which they seem to find halarious (I frankly find it horrifyingly distrubring - and not because they're trying to kill Kikyou, but because they're focusing a lot of time and thought on creative ways to kill someone at all . . .).

Something else that bothers me emensely about these types of fics and threads is that they don't seem to be taking into account what our metaphysical maiden is made of . . . She ain't fragile . . . to put it mildly. People don't fall off cliffs and walk away. Furthermore, it seems like Naraku is doing an extremely piss-poor job of killing her in the original story . . . meaning that I have a feeling that most of the people in the thread would find themselves similarly flustered with frustration over the seeming futility of even attempting such a thing.

Lastly, one question: How does one kill someone that isn't alive?

Thats why they fantasized about it. The only time I would believe that those would happen would be either:

A: the apocalypse have come
B: Rumiko takahashi has gone insane
C: I have become a n00b

Now, that you're talking about fanfics, in the world of fanfics, imagination goes wild, as the old saying goes.
I guess because Kikyou's body after she was ressurected, was made of clay, people thought ways to break the body to pieces.

In fanfics, you're definetely going to expect AU fics (Alternate Universe). So, you can expect Kikyou as a modern living woman whom everyone loves to hate.
Now, I don't read much Inuyasha fanfics, but enough to see that there are a lot of Kikyou bashing fics.

Haven't wrote any fanfics in a long time. Last one I wrote was a Yu-Gi-Oh one....Been thinking of doing a Rurouni Kenshin fanfic or poetry on Tomoe.... My username is Midori iro on fanfiction.net, just to let you know.

I do in fact write. I am Yukatado on fanfiction.net, from the days of yore when fanfiction.net didn't even have an Inuyasha folder. Oh my how it has grown, much like a gaian thread full of spam! wink

My current project on there is called "School" and features a Kikyou that never did die. She lives in Tokyo now, in the same shrine she grew up in before the mess with Inuyasha. In the modern-era, she goes to school and becomes a teacher. Kikyou/Sesshoumaru pairing, by the way.

Another one on the back-burner is "Hitori ni Naru" or "We Become One" wherein Kikyou and Kagome discover inexplicably . . . amorous feelings for one another. Kikyou/Kagome pairing for that one.

Also, several poems. They do tend to be semi-angsty.

Lastly, is "In a World without Purpose" which features Kikyou going down a different well and ending up in even Acient-er Japan. Its WAY on the back-burner.

AU fics tends to be popular in the fandom world. What better way to bash Kikyou? Reminds me of a Rurouni Kenshin fic I once read, AU and there was some Tomoe bashing.....

I never dared reading Inuyasha fanfics on fanfiction.net neutral I once saw, as a resumé, "Inuyasha and Kagome are the best PILOTS on their PLANET, and Sesshoumaru was the captain of planet Youkai"... gonk I'm not really sure what's it about, but I'm scared to find out ><;; *goes to hide* But strangely, lots of IY fanfics on FF.net has long chapters and not all one-shot (I think o_o Last time I checked out 2 months ago, never dares to go back again ._.;; ), so I don't know about n00b authors or not neutral

There was also one I read that Inu was the son of a Samurai, Daddy and Mommy both got killed, and him as a kid vowed to never touch a sword is now some kinda youkai slayer; and that he defeated 2 spirits called Miroku and Sango, but didn't know, and since they where spirits and not real youkais they have to follow him everywhere he goes o__o and I think either Sango or Miroku was a phoenix o__o;; *shivers*

Inuyasha fanfictions creep me out o__o;; But supposely because I got too freaked out at the beginning that I never read that much IY fanfics, I have never encountered Kikyou-bashing fics. ._. Lucky me...

O.o how evil that is....
