 I highly doubt a hole is safe from zombies, more so a hole down into the floor...
If anything you're more likely to be trapped and eaten by a ton of a zombies, for the fact you cannot escape the hole.

Ah, well damn. I guess I have no choice but to join the army of the undead and overrun the earth, feeding on my friends and family. Sounds like a party, right? =D
