Selia: -Splays out on her stomach just outside of the den, feeling pretty good now that the pups were actually able to get up and run around on their own.-

Ailis: - Running-leaps up onto her mother's back, stumbling over herself as she plops down onto the thick fur of her neck- Mama, where'd everyone go?

Sidhiel: -scoots around the edge of the outside of the den staring at the sky, looking for birds- Birdies, birdies up so high, flutter flutter, passing by -hums-

Feanaro watched quietly from a nearby perch, chest thrown out and shoulders rolled back. A small, quiet smirk formed on his maw as he watched the pups scamper about, adjusting to their surroundings.

Kuruk pawed at a blade of grass, yelped, then jumped back as it sprang up once more. His tiny tail stood upright as his ears perked up to the top of his head. Growling again, he jumped out to pin it back to the ground.

Selia: - Gives a small shrug and looks up to grin towards Feanaro, her tail giving a soft wag before she looked down to Siddy, cocking her head curiously at her song, instead just leaning down to lick at the top of her head with a hum-

Ailis: - Perks up and yaps at their brother, tumbling off of her mother before running for Kuruk, flinging herself up onto her hind legs to wrap her front legs around his torso, mauling him over with a growl-

Sidhiel: -blinks up at her mother- Momma, one day I wanna fly like the birdies. I wanna see the world from up in the air and play in the clouds.

Kuruk yelped in suprise and instantly began batting at his sibling with his hind legs, his back meeting the ground and his tiny body pinned in place by the furry ball of his sister.

Fea rolled his head back, catching sight of his ever-present shadow, Surru, perched in the boughs above him. "We are wolves, not birds." He looked down and settled his golden eyes on Sidhiel. "Never wish to be something you are not."

Selia rolled her eyes slightly, shaking her head at her mate's words. Nudges her daughter over with her nose, licking her chest softly as she grinned. "Dont listen to him," she cooed, snuffling Siddy's neck with a chuckle, "You can dream of being whatever you wanna' be, baby."

Giggles and growls more, latching onto his ear to give a few hard yanks before jumping off of him to make a mad dash for their father, skidding to a stop just afew paces from him, tail wagging eagerly. "Surru~" She cooed, raising up onto her hind legs to paw towards the crow. "Play with me, Mr. Crow!"

Sidhiel pouted up at her father and watched her sister go after Surru and smiled back up at her mother rolling over onto her back. "I'mma fly, one day, I like being a wolf, I don't wanna be a birdie, I just wanna fly like one." she said imaging it.

Suru turned his head and pretended not to notice the pup there. Fea only gave a chuckle. "Careful. Birds are fragile. Their bones break easy under our paws and in our mouths. They're not to be played with." He stretched his paw out and gave a playful shove to the puppy's chest.

Kuruk shook his head off and turned to offer his sister a wrinkled-nosed sneer. He licked his maw then slowly ran a paw over the top of his head. Ew. Girl germs.

Giving a soft shake of her head, she nosed her daughter's neck once more before looking over to Kuruk, laughing at his expression. "Dont like your sister mouthing you?" She teased, slowly pushing herself to stand and shake off. She was still sore from the birthing process and getting her strength back up, but she was doing better than she had been a day or so ago.

Squeals as she was pushed over, flopping onto her back with her hind legs curled towards her belly, kicking about softly while she stared up at him, wide-eyed. "But we eat birds," she said, matter-of-factly, as she rolled onto her feet once more, climbing up to sit atop her father's large paw. "I've seen'em be eaten before. Why not crows?" She eyed the crow with a playful smirk, obviously just being mean to the avian.

Getting back into her paws Sidhiel shook herself and bounded over towards her siblings and father and looked up toward the crow, envy in her eyes at his wings that allowed him to soar into the sky, where secretly she knew she would never go. "Suuurrrruuu" she chirruped giddily.

Kuruk tossed his head up and gave a hard shake of his head. "She got slobber on me, mama, now I'm all wet on my head." He brushed at his fur again, both paws coming around to settle on his muzzle. "Girls are grooooossss."

"Birds yes." He nodded up towards Suuru, "The crows are our brothers. They eat what we do not and in return, they warn us of danger. They're our eyes. So ... in a way we are wolves that fly like the crow. Kendrick even has one."

Suru fluffed himself out and turned to watch both pups with a single, golden eye. He answered them in the form of a short, almost whispered caw.

Breathes a light sigh, leaning down to lick the top of his head, "I'm a girl, am I gross?" She teased, lightly nudging his paws off of his muzzle before making her way over to her mate. Taking a seat beside him, she nuzzled into the fur on his neck, resting her head carefully against the back of his neck, looking up at the crow she'd grown somewhat fond of, despite the fact that they still kind of creeped her out.

Ailis pouted and kept her seat on her father's paw, looking down to her siblings as she mimicked him, puffing out her chest triumphantly. Looking back up to the crow, she flicked her ears forward, then moved to try and crawl up her father's back to get closer to the crow, bright eyes glistening deviously.

Sidhiel turned to her brother and bounded toward him. "I'm not gross" she huffed at him and pawed at him, briefly distracted from the crow and the thought of flying. How could her brother say she was gross, she was very clean, Selia made sure of that.

"You're not a girl, you're a mom." He said matter-of-factually, sitting himself upright to toss his head from one side to the other. "Moms aren't girls they're moms. Duh."

Fea tipped his head to one side to rest his chin along the top of Selia's head. He'd gone from father figure to playground in a matter of moments, but he tolereated it well enough. Now as they got older- the behavior would stop. They'd be climbing rocks and hills. "Don't worry about him." Fae addressed sidhiel with a nod of his head. "He'll grow out of it. Like puppy fur."

Ailis pouted as she slid down her father's back, resting her rump at the base of his tail while she stared up at the crow longingly. She wanted to chase it...or something, anything. Her brother was being a butt and her sister was too busy wishing she could fly...sigh. Crawling off of her father's back, she bounded off of the perch and made her way towards the treeline, just past the den, sniffing around curiously.

Folding her ears back, she shifted her head slightly so her good eye focused on the pups, not too terribly worried for the area behind them due to the crow up in the tree. Maybe she should find one to bond with--it seemed safter that way. Humming softly, she lightly licked Feanaro's jaw before pulling her head back, looking down to her son with a smirk. "That works. Mama's are moms, not girls. Wait till you grow up a bit, I suppose." She feared them growing up already..

Sidhiel stared wide-eyed at her father, they'd grow out of their fur?! How was that. "My fur is gonna fall off" she yelped and jumped bakc and turned in circles. She didn't want her fur to fall out, she'd be bald even if it was for a short time she would look silly without her fur and others would make fun of her.

"Grow up like Ken?" He tipped his head. He'd overheard his father telling their oldest step-brother to 'grow up' on several occassions. The easy-going heir to the pack often loped towards the boarder of the lands, sniffing about for a female to court. To Kuruk, it just seemed he got to run around and play wherever he wanted.

Fea turned his head to n** gently at his mate's neck, as gentle of a gesture as he'd shown in quite a while. At his daughter's panic, and the other's obvious disapointment he stood up with a long sigh and shook himself out. Small strands of fur drifted about on the air. "See? We all lose fur."

Shakes her head a bit and moves to stand once more, sliding down to her pups' level, lying back onto her stomach to nuzzle at her son's side, lightly licking his previously 'gross' ear. "Yes--grow up like Ken," she murmured, looking around curiously. Where was that boy, anyway? Pursing her lips a bit, she then laid her head back down, sighing heavily. Maybe she could bum him into babysitting.

Flops down to sit on her butt near one of the large trees, staring up at the branches to see if she could get a crow to come to -her-. She loved the fact that the dumb birds would come when called--sometimes--and followed her step-brother and father around so loyally. That and she wanted to chase one...

Sidhiel sat on her rump, feeling dizzy and watched her father shake and the small cascade of hair float gently through the air. So it wasn't all at once, that was a relief but still, losing her fur was a scary though nonetheless. She turned back to her brother at the mention of their step-brother. "Ken is big!" she yipped and turned and bounded over to her brother again. "Big, big, big." she sang happily.

Kuruk flopped himself over onto his mom's neck and lifted his head to watch his sisters. Their fascination with the crows didn't go unoticed. He perked his ears and lifted his head. Surru, finally deciding to have a little fun of his own, hopped off the branch and began swooping down after the pups, playfully nipping at their ears and tails.

"It runs in the family." He smirked and stepped down to stretch himself out. A series of pops sounded down his back as he leaned into his shoulders and stretched his legs out behind him.

Ailis yapped and rushed back over to where Surru was, hopping up and pawing at the crow when it swooped down at them. Growling and yapping more, her tail wagged excitedly, dropping onto her rump when he went out of reach, only to repeat the process when he came back around.

Resting her head down when Kuruk flopped onto her neck, she sighed and eyed Surru curiously, smirking as the bird actually humored the pups' interest in him. Might not be the best, but it worked.. "Your side," she pointed out, stretching out her legs lazily. "My side of the family is pretty small..."

Sidhiel yipped as the crow swept over her nipping her ears and making her jump as she hadn't been paying attenion to him anymore. Like her sister she chased after him yipping excitedly, her tail quivering with it. "Suuurrrruu" she sang out again dancing momentarily on her back paws, forepaws grasping the air above her.

Kuruk watched the bird, tense as a board, from his mother's neck. As the bird came closer he'd tremble and whine. After a few passed he began barking and stood himself up onto Selia's shoulder, tail standing straight up as the puppy fur lifted off his back and shoulders. Suuru circled the pups, swooping at the little girls and cawing in response to Kuru's barks.

Fea shrugged his shoulders. Haku had been a large male, though in his mind he could have easily laid the wolf low. If presented with the oppertunity, he'd try again. "We'll see. Ken's mother was small too."

Selia didn't understand why any of the wolves she encountered never got along with others..her brother especially, though both Haku and Gaara had been affiliated with that Gaara and Lexi pair. Sigh. She smiled and glanced back to Kuruk, nudging his brickly tail with her nose. They definitely had their father's fight in them.

Ailis laughed as her brother whined, mimicking her sister by dancing on her hind legs to paw at Surru, before growing tired and plopping onto her butt again, panting and wagging her tail. "Cheater," she called after Surru, grinning, "Come and play on the ground! Then we'll see who wins~"

Flopping back with her sister she looked to her panting. "See wouldn't it be fun to be able to fly?" she grinned at her sister. Surru was able to glide so easily over their heads, almost mocking them, she envied him, but even with her paws firmly on the ground at least in her mind she would always be able to soar through the sky and play in the clouds.

Kuruk whimpered again, then jumped as his mother's nose met with his tail. Yelping, he jumped forward, no longer able to simply sit and watch as the crow tormented them. The crow continued to swoop back and forth, cackling at every attempt to capture him that the puppies dished out. None had come even close.

"You'll get along just fine with Byakko." Fea commented dryly. "He thinks he -can- fly."
