Aika: *trots over to dusk and flaps her little wings* HIIIIiii~!!!
Dusk: *lays on his back, hooves in the air, fast asleep*
Aika: *thought he was just playing a game* Er...*cheeps at him* Dusky? ...*leans closer and hears a faint snoring sound...and promptly bursts into a kind of twittering laughter* oh my goodness~!! you're sleeping like that~!! you really are~!! hehe XD *trots around him carefully*
Dusk flipped onto his side, a long yawn escaping him as he did so. "No more late night snacks... No more.... Too much sleep."
Aika: *blinks at him and pokes him with a rosy hoof* Duuuuuuusssskkyyyy~~~ *singsongs* what are you dreeeeaaaamin abouuuut~~~?
Dusk blinked sleepily, squinting up at the familiar emerald face. "Oh, Hi!" He managed to get out through a stifled yawn. He blinked a few times more before getting to his hooves. "I dont remember what I was dreaming about..." ^^;
Aika: *giggles* HI~!! sleepy head~ you know you sleep kinda funny~ i've never seen anyone sleep like that~!! *fills the air with mirthful chirps* Even though mum tells me my gramma wanted her to sleep in a tree~!! hehe~
Dusk's brow furrowed slightly out of confusion. "It was a comfy way to sleep in my basket... It's not as great out here, but it works..." He paused. "Is it wrong?" He paused for a moment longer, the last part of what Aika said finally reaching him. "Wait... In a tree? How does she get into the trees?" He vaguely remembered Aika saying she and her siblings were the only ones with wings.
Aika: *smiles at Dusk and shakes her head* mmmn~ no~ if you sleep that way and it's comfy i guess you can do what you want ^^ it's just very unusual~!! *she fluffed her wings and chuckled* ya~ well my gramma thinks she's a bird...so she wanted to raise her kids in a tree~!! hehe~ but of course, no one has wings, so that didn't work out so well you may guess~ *giggles*
Maybe someday when i can fly i'll perch in a tree ^^ just like the little birds do~!!
Dusk nodded; at least it wasnt bad that he slept with his hooves in the air. Hmm... Her grandma thought that she was a bird? Maybe thinking that she was a bird gave her the drive to learn how to speak to birds. Maybe he could learn? Nah... He knew he didnt have the attention span to. "So... You cant fly yet?" Dusk asked. He didnt know much about those that could fly, Aika was the only soquili with wings he had met so far, but he had been told there were many in the world.
Aika: she half smiled, flicking one ear nervously* yeahhh...well i can hover a little when i try *she laughed nervously* i just can't get off the ground very well...just yet...*she wiggled her nose and huffed, regaining some composure* but i will~!! when i get bigger i will fly~!! just like daddy~!! *she cheeped loudly, waging a personal vendetta against the ground for the time being.
A soft smile spread across Dusks face. "It's almost as if you're a baby bird, stuck on the ground... for now." He looked to the ground, scuffing his hoof lightly in the dirt before raising his gaze to the sky. "But just like all birds you'll be strong enough to fly one day, and I'm sure you'll travel far and wide." He chuckled a bit and bumped his shoulder against Aika's. "You'll be able to go on all sorts of adventures..."
Aika: *she smiled warmly at him and fluttered her little green wings* awww, thanks Dusky~ *giggles a little and flicked her tail* tell ya what~ when i can fly~ we can go on adventures together~!! and you can tell me what you find on the ground and i'll tell you what i can see from the skies~that way we can both have fun ^^
Dusk chuckled a little before nodding in agreement. "Sounds like a wonderful plan. Just one thing..." He nipped Aika's mane and pranced off a few paces. "You gotta promise not to leave me too far behind." He didnt want to admit that he would be slower than she if he was running verses her flying though. "Never know when something new might catch my attention and distract me."
Aika: *cheeps in surprise and blinks at him* ehhhh~~~*a slow smile spread across her face* of course~!! i wouldn't leave you behind, i'd fly slower if you couldn't keep up ^^ i'd come down too and see what's so interesting~!! silly Dusky~i don't leave my friends behind~!!
Dusk looked to the ground. "Cant fool you can I?" He nodded. "Thanks." She truly was a great friend.
