Jillian broke eye contact with Rion and looked at the floor. She looked back at him several moments later, shaking her head. "Rion I don't know...." she paused as she thought about the sensations she felt. Her eyes widened, and her stomach sank. "You're a stitch." she whispered, looking into Rion's eyes.

Rion looked at Jillian with a sideways glance. "A stitch? You mean like Stella? How is that possible..."

Jillian inclined her head, "Like Stella." she said. "I am not sure how it is possible, but Rion, you could have killed me." she said softly.

Rion's head lowered and a tear managed to force it's way out, "I... I'm so sorry. I thought that a stitch could heal too though." He looked up and bit his lip, "I felt more then just my normal powers though... I saw the dust on the floor rippling away from me, and not from heat."

Jillian used her free hand to wipe away Rion's tear. "Some can heal. It took Stella a while to be able to use it that way." she said. She grimaced, "I was her practice dummy." she explained. "I should have realized this sooner." she muttered to herself. Her eyes snapped to his, "Rippling away?" she asked.

"It looked like it was being forced away in waves." He pressed his finger into his temple "It couldn't have been from my power, it was far to regular."

Jillian shrugged, "Maybe the different temperatures caused a breeze that moved the dust?" she suggested. Her mind was nudging her reminders about Rion's memory, but she wanted to ignore that. Coincidence was an easier solution.

Rion shook his head, "Not possible, the heat was isolated, there was no draft or breeze to make waves in the dust, at least not waves that were rhythmic." he looked up, "It was in time with my heartbeat throbbing my head."

Jillian leaned against Rion resting her head on his chest, "I think that they enhanced you with their experiments." she said into his chest.

A chill went through Rion as he hugged her with one arm, "You don't mean that they gave me psychic powers, do you?"

Jillian nodded, "That's exactly what I mean. You moved the dust... and showed signs of stitch abilities.. I think they were trying to turn you into a super psychic." she said.

Rion's mouth was suddenly very dry, "I wonder what abilities I have then." He held up his hand and caused the air to ignite above his palm, "And I wonder how long it will be before I have this kind of control over them..." He dropped his hand and the flame died.

Jillian had to fight to keep herself from flinching when Rion heated the air. She also had an uneasy feeling in her stomach at the idea of Rion possessing so much power. Most of her interactions were with people that she could easily manipulate because he abilities were better. She took a deep breath, "Well going by your glitch of power there, I'd say it will be a while before you'll have that kind of control." she said.

Rion hugged Jillian tightly as they walked, "That scares me, I don't want to be able to hurt you or any of our friends because I loose control... I don't want to loose the only thing really important in my life..."

Jillian paused and hugged him back. "Well you're not the only one who doesn't want you to harm anyone. We'll figure this out." she assured him. "We will just need to be careful until we figure out what causes the..." she paused trying to decide what to call the fit he had just had. "What makes the other gifts surface." she finally ended.
