Private RP between Misha (Graficcha) & Rhian (Redbud-Tree)

Location: The Wastelands' edge
Time: Nightfall
Weather: Lucid chill in the air

On the run, ever on the run, don't stop, don't falter. He'd already wasted enough time, missed out on life for too long, even if it had been little more than two full days. It was time to go back.
His mind was quiet now. His quest was done, no more incessant buzz. Explanations were for later. Anwers and newly arised questions could wait.

For now, the bunnyboy was on his way home, physically tiring quickly, for he had not eaten since he morning now three days past, but his body was brimming with energy. Scratched-up and battered he'd made his way back here, to the end of the vast wastes. Luckily he'd managed to avoid serious injury this time, through caution and lack of rushing into all of this unpreparedly. Or, at the very least, unaware of the more imminent danger he would encounter by heading back into that cavern system.
Nothing could have prepared him for what he had found there, seen there, experienced underneath those layers of rock, tonnes of soil, deeply buried, hidden in the dark. Even now he had barely processed the magnitude of it, hadn't yet realised the implications of what he'd found, if there even was a conclusion to draw. All of it was stored in his memory now, encrypted into his entire self, to never again be forgotten. Save the pondering for later.

Save it for when-
Huh?

His internal radar gave a blink, a blip, and not such a weak one either. Before he could wonder about its origin, Misha deviated from his path, his mind clearing as he found something to focus on in the here and now.
Hastened footsteps in the sunset, coming your way.

How had she gotten here? Rhian wasn't quite sure; all she knew was that this morning she'd starting walking aimlessly, lost in thought with nothing to do and no-one to talk to. Thinking on it for a moment, the flutterby realized that sounded just a bit angsty and, well, immature even for her - and she knew she was among the least mature of her fellow Essentics - and tried to figure out a different way to define it.

She missed Lauss.

That was really what it came down to in the end, really.

She hadn't been able to see or talk to Lauss in far too long, and the twins were growing, growing nearly as fast as one of her own kind! Everything was moving on, so so quickly. . . and without her. She was on the edges, watching it happen. She was glad that her Mama was happy, really she was! But. . . she didn't know what more she could do for her now.

A sudden, jarring sense of recognition from somewhere in the distance brought her out of her thought-induced daze, and she blinked and stopped for a long moment, before breaking into a run towards the familiar presence.

"Misha!"

Sweaty, a touch sunburnt from the low evening sun, the bunny messenger came towards her, strolling out into a jog, eventually halting before her, the dustcloud he'd swept up settling behind him as he leaned his hands on his knees for a moment to catch his breath. Closing his eyes for a moment to get in some deep wheezes, cool air to his hot chest, he took some time to clear his head, let his heartrate slow. Only after those preciously long seconds did he open his warm caramel eyes again -was that a trick of the light now or were they less sweet-creamy than usual?- to look at her.

"Rhian."

A soft gawk, as if he couldn't quite trust himself that she was actually here. He slowly righted himself again, his hands subconsciously guarding his worn messenger bag, and tilted his head to the side slightly, with a faint confused frown.
What was she doing here, praytell? Was she alright? Had she ventured out to find him? No, there was no way of knowing, ne he was in no state of mind to choose one option to enquire about either.

"Hi."

Just a small greeting, genuinely surprised to see her here, on the open lands amidst the lengthening shadows. Even with the sun coming mostly from behind him, his eyes carried a submerged warm molten gleam in them, in the shade of his own face that was still dusty.
