Rotem:3:58 pm (3:58:29 PM): The cricket brushed the top of its head with a prickly leg, over and over again. Completely oblivious to the terror lurking just a few feet away, it went about its happy life on the blade of a dew-soaked blade of grass. It froze as the grass behind it shifted. A blur of tan and brown leapt out, giving a squeak that, in his mind, was a mighty roar, and brought his pads down ont he little creature, trapping it. Rotem beamed and slowly lifted one of his paws. The cricket hopped upward only to get slammed back down to the ground. Curiously, he lifted his paw again, only to repeat the attempted escape and re-capture.
Eyal: 4:11 pm (4:11:20 PM): "Rotem..." A younger lion with a sour expression trotted out behind him into the sun. It glinted off his golden coat as he made sure to step over each mud puddle and avoid any patches of dirt. "What are you doing? You should be training." He found a patch of grass and laid down staring ruefully at the cricket. "My dad says you're going to be King. Shouldn't you act like it?" Rotem:4:23 pm (4:23:31 PM): "I am." He caught the cricked again then slowly lifted a paw to look. The cricket hopped forward, causing the cub to scramble after it, dragging his belly and kicking his hind legs around as his paws drummed against the ground. After five attempts, he pinned the creature once more. "I....caught an amazing thing." Eyal: 4:27 pm (4:27:02 PM): The cub wrinkled his nose as he watched him scrabble across the ground. "No you're not. Kings are...regal and stuff. They don't get dirty." He picked himself up and went over to investigate the small creature. He snifed at Rotem's paws and pulled his head back. "I don't know, Rotem... it just... looks like a cricket to me. It just bounces around." Rotem:5:04 pm (5:04:09 PM): "Pfft. If I'm gonna be king I get to do what I wanna do and I wanna get dirty and have fun." He looked up to his older friend and dropped his ears, eyes drooping slightly. "You wouldn't want a stick in the mud for a ruler would you? How boring." He lifted his paw again, pressed it down, then lifted it up again. The cricket wasn't moving. "...I think I got it. You want a bite?" Eyal: 5:06 pm (5:06:19 PM): "Kings can't do that... I mean I'm prety sure they can't..." He answered sitting on the ground. "Stick in the mud? I don't know! I think being King sounds boring." He stuck out his tongue. "Eat that? No way! Bugs are gross." He bent down and bared his teeth. "C'mon Rotem! Let's train like my dad does! I bet I can win a fight." Rotem:5:33 pm (5:33:04 PM): "It's only boring if I make it boring." He sat back and prodded at this bug. The cricket leapt out once more, apparently it had only been stunned. In a heartbeat, Rotem jumped out once more, tail sticking straight up as he pounced on the first flick of movement he saw- a blade of grass. The cricket, however, was no where to be found. He turned over towards Eyal, glanced behind him to the grass, then back to Eyal. "....you...wanna fight?" Rotem:8:38 pm (8:39:06 PM): "It's only boring if I make it boring." He sat back and prodded at this bug. "....you...wanna fight?" Eyal: 8:48 pm (8:48:56 PM): Eyal grunted watching Rotem chase the thing then finally loose it. He smirked slightly. He didn't like it when Rotem was busy with other things. They were like brothers and he always wanted his brother's attention on him. "Fight, train... whatever you want to call it. My father's the warrior cheif of the pride! You know I'm going to be one too when I get as big as he is." Rotem:8:54 pm (8:54:44 PM): Rotem tipped his head to the side and rolled his jaw, considering. After a moment he rounded on the other cub and launched himself outwards, velveted paws outstretched for Eyal's shoulders. "ON GUARD!"

Eyal hadn't anticipated the sneak attack. He fell to the ground with Rotem pinning him and bared his teeth. So that was how he was going to play? Fine with him! He put his back legs under Rotem's stomach and tried to push him off. "You won't win that easy! I'm going to be the best fighter in the pride!"
