Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling From glen to glen, and down the mountain side The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying 'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide. But come ye back when summer's in the meadow Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow 'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.
And if you come, when all the flowers are dying And I am dead, as dead I well may be You'll come and find the place where I am lying And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.
And I shall hear, tho' soft you tread above me And all my dreams will warm and sweeter be If you'll not fail to tell me that you love me I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.
I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.
omg ive never actually read the whole thing before i cried XD

My great grandmother used to sing a song, and as she got older she would sing it all of the time. It was this silly song about how the whole family was irish including the "pig in the cellar" Now at big family gatherings the older people in my family sing it if they get super wasted. It's kind of funny because we all grew up knowing the song because of my great grandmother and as kids watching our grandparents singing and dancing to it is hilarious. My family is amusing.

Haha is that the name of it? Like I said, my whole family knows the song but no one could remember the name! I'm pretty sure that my great grandmother was 100% irish.

I told my mom the name and she was wondering if you happened to know the rest of the words XD. My grandmother had Alzheimers and she couldn't remember anybodys name but she knew the one part of Erin Go Bragh and Irish Eyes are Smiling and she would just randomly start singing it haha.

My grandpa loves Irish Eyes are Smiling! He sings it to my grandma all the time.
