The Tea Room

A quieter, slightly more dim room off the side of the ballroom, the Tea Room is large and luxurious, with rich velvet red carpet covering the floor and golden buffed wood making up the walls and ceiling. Looking rather out of place in the very center of the large room are many tables of mismatched height and build; but that doesn't matter seeing as the tables in question are covered with a variety of blue tablecloths that almost match in color and texture. At every available space there are chairs of many different carvings and designs pushed in and ready to accommodate even the most difficultly sized guest.

Spread across the tables are, predictably, devices for enjoying tea. The mismatched theme continues in the countless teapots and teacups that have been specially stolen appropriated from countless Hatters and Queens (ahem) for this event. The tea is available in every possible variety and keeps itself piping hot (to ask how it happens would be rather rude of you!); plenty of sugar, milk, and honey have also been provided so that guests may flavor their beverages as they see fit.

The music that is inescapable in the ballroom is muted with the doors closed, making the Tea Room the perfect place for tea and conversation. So come on in, pour yourself a cup of tea, and enjoy yourself! Oh, and try not to spill; t'would be such a waste!

There are those that think tea should encompass the entirety of the drinker's attention... but where's the fun in that? Somewhere in the tea leaves, but that's a different story entirely. So, to keep patrons of this room entertained, various pairs of dice have been left scattered around each chair. Aside for being fun to fiddle with, this dice rolling addition could win you prizes! So why not play?



The Game:
Using the random dice generator with each post to the thread (see below instructions), participants will attempt to generate a specific number; the first to do so wins a prize. The numbers are chosen by picking several Alice in Wonderland-related words and assigning them a numeric value (A-Z numbered 1-26; double digit numbers will be added as as total. For example; the number 26 will be 2+6=8 )

The words you will be looking for are:
3 = A-L-I-C-E
2 = W-O-N-D-E-R-L-A-N-D
8 = Q-U-E-E-N
6 = C-A-T

As numbers are found, winners will be recorded. This could go on forever, forever... or, rather, until the event ends.



How To Play:
1) Click Post and type up your reply, business as usual.
2) Before you hit 'Submit', look to the 'Post Actions' and choose 'Roll Dice'
3) A blue bit will pop up; look to the left-hand side of the blue box to the scroll down menu and choose '4 Sided'
4) Look to the right side of the blue box to a blank after the words "Number of Dice:"; enter the number 2
5) Hit submit -- the number you rolled will appear at the top of your post when you return to the thread

Ah tea , nothing is better "scoots her dress aside so she can sit without revealing herself . Then taking up a cup she poured herself a cup of tea and looked around "SUGAR where's the sugar!"
