Events that happened recently had been aggravating Eve Summers.
To tell the truth, these events were actually because of Sailor Flora, but the senshi was her in a way, so it didn't exactly count. Still, it helped when she had someone to put the blame on. Especially when that someone was not very forthcoming with memories she attempted to dredge up about her past life. Finding her Princess had been a good thing, of course; she had been exceptionally happy to meet Chronos. Even so, there were things, or more specifically people, who dampened the mood, even if she didn't mean to.
Rea had been avoiding her.
Eve did not get her logic of 'You've Found Your Princess, So You Have No Affair In Our Senshi Team'. Princess Chronos had many Zodiacs and her Guardian Cat to look after her, and so, Eve did not see why she couldn't still be in the Dream Team. Rea was being silly and playing hard to get; Eve hadn't really had time to corner her and have a good talk. Not while her Princess had locked herself up in her room and refused to talk to anyone.
Eve sighed.
It was times like this when she decided that a good shopping spree would help calm her nerves. No use worrying about all these things when you could be happy instead, right? With this thought, the blonde roamed around the mall, sipping at a banana smoothie. Ahhhhh, she could already start to feel peaceful again...

She'd just been here yesterday, shopping for clothing and electronics, and things for herself and her siblings; today she was shopping for another reason entirely.
Her room at Crystal was stark, and boring, with a distinct lack of those things that made her happy. She'd been given plain white blinds, and a boring, cheap little curtain rod (she'd seen one like this once; it had cost $1.92 at some shop called Wally Mart or something like that) that barely covered her windows.
The mattress was almost military in nature, not the soft plush one that she'd had in the other room. The walls were a stark white, the ceiling not having any of those little popcorn things that she'd noticed in the old room collecting dust; the lack of popcorn was something she could forgive, since that meant she would be able to stick things up on the ceiling. Maybe she'd give in and put up those little glow-in-the-dark stars and planets that Lucas had given her last year, looking so proud of himself.
She wasn't thinking, and almost didn't notice the person she was about to bump into. She gasped, audibly, jerking around and slamming her body into a pole instead of the person, knocking her back (still raw from little shards of glass digging into it) roughly into the metal sign of the mall map.
Ow.
"I'm very sorry." she apologized, looking at the other person. Another young woman.

"O-oh!" To tell the truth, Eve hadn't been paying attention either and didn't notice the girl until she heard a gasp. It was then she snapped back into reality and noticed the girl who had came too close. Eve was about to reach forward and tell the dark haired girl to be careful and winced as her warning came too late. That certainly looked like it hurt and she shook her head at the apology, lips releasing the straw connected to her smoothie.
"It's alright; are you okay?" She asked, placing a hand gently on the other's shoulder. It was then something registered; this girl was in the same year as her in Crystal, wasn't she? "...Jada?"

"I'm fine." Jada's brows drew together and she looked at the other girl. "Yes, I'm Jada." this girl looked familiar... She must have seen her in classes? "Eve, right?" she asked finally, but her voice was hesitant.
At least she hadn't knocked the drink from the other girl's hand. She straightened herself with a faint smile. "Thanks. Sorry about that little accident." Her back hurt from the smack against the pole, the small cuts throbbing. But the only sign on her face was a flicker around her eyes, pulling herself back into composure. "What brought you to the mall?"

"Yup!" The blonde girl replied cheerfully, her attention now fully focused on her classmate. "It's really okay; I'm not hurt or anything!" Plus, she hadn't been in any serious fights lately, and thus didn't sport bruises like she usually did back then. That, and she had just gotten her cast off a few weeks ago, so she had been more careful.
"Oh, I'm just shopping around to relax, y'know. Need to take things off my mind." Eve said with a wave of her hand. "How about you?"

"I, umm..." Jada gave a shy, embarrassed smile. "I had to change rooms." Her family had kept the fact someone had broken into her room very quiet, with the willing assistance of the CA staff. "I didn't get to keep any of my personal touches, issues with the move, so I am buying some more."
She brushed off her bluejeans, straightened her tank top. "Interested in helping me pick out some stuff?"

"Roommate problems?" Eve asked with a furrowed brow. She herself never really experienced any of those kind; Eve was that kind of roommate that either you warmed up to her, or you ignored her. And Rea, as cold and distant as she was, had eventually warmed up, so possibilities were pretty high. Although, if you considered current events, it could possibly be said that she was experiencing roommate problems.
God, Rea had better not request to change rooms. She imagined the other asking Crystal to dorm Rea and Miriam together, and her and Hero... shudder. She might not remember much about Hero, but she certainly was rather intimidated by the Captain.
"Why not?" She said lightly. "What are you looking for, exactly?"

"Oh no, I have a room to myself, thankfully. I'd die without two closets." Jada bit her lip, looking mildly abashed. "You could more or less say there were outside reasons facilitating the move." Like a knife stuck through one of her uniforms, pinning it to the wall.
Her new room was on the second floor.
"I'm looking for everything. Curtain rods, draperies, bedsheets, trash bins, rugs, screens, hangers, anything a new home would need." She'd had everything thrown out, regardless of if it could be repaired. She wasn't keeping something in her room that the creeper had touched.

"What, some monster broke into your room?" Eve said lightly, but was really contemplating this seriously. What if that was true? What if a youma were getting more bold with their advances now; she briefly remembered when she had gotten attacked by one in the hospital.
"Ah..." She breathed, though there started to be a little sparkle in her eye. "Thinking of any particular colors? Themes?" Perhaps it was just their dorm for one year, but might as well make it look and feel comfortable, right? It wasn't as though they couldn't afford that.

Jada's laugh was nervous. "Well, I wouldn't call it a monster." she avoided the question. "Hopefully just a very hateful person." still, she didn't deny that it could have been a monster. "But even a person would have to be a monster to wreck someone's home." Her voice was a little fierce.
Freely, easily, she reached out as though to take her classmate's arm and sling her own through it. It was friendly, a habit. "Nothing in particular. I have the unfortunate habit of my personal rooms being a mishmash of whatever strikes my fancy. Only a greeting room needs to be pieced together; the room you sleep in needs to be intimate to oneself."

"That sounds awful!" Eve looked both horrified and sympathetic. Whether it was a youma or a person, that was still pretty horrible. Extremely horrible, actually. What was with Crystal Academy's security anyway? If Hillworth boys could sneak in, what about other outside forces.
That was a rather disturbing thought.
The blonde patted her classmate on the arm. "That's true! I like having flowers in my room, but y'know, you got to replace them frequently. It's lucky that a friend keeps sending flowers to me." Even after the hospital incident, Marlo had kept up the regular gifts of flowers, which both delighted and reminded her that she really needed to shop for a prom dress.

"You have no idea." Jada's voice was low. Her thoughts were echoing the other young woman's, though obviously neither was aware of this fact. "Still, I think they are working on ensuring the further safety of their students."
She managed not to wince as Eve patted her on her covered arm. "Flowers are lovely." she agreed, voice tighter than she'd meant it. "I like lilies, they are my favorite readily available flower. I'm more the type to want things that keep, though. Things that won't fade." Something eternal. Like diamonds.
Her eyes were drawn to a store with figurines in the window: Swarovski Crystal, Lladro statuettes, and those horribly adorable Pendelfins. "Let's go in here." she sounded wistful.

Eve wondered briefly if she would have to patrol around Crystal Academy before going out to check on Destiny City. All this talk about having more enemies were getting worrying. Perhaps tonight she would have to shut her window and draw the curtains...
Siiggggghhh. Being a senshi made you so much more paranoid.
"That's nice too." She agreed, eyes lighting up at what Jada had seen. "Ooh, let's! Ornaments can certainly brighten up a room." Although personally, she thought nothing could beat the sight and scent of fresh flowers.

She gave the other young woman a bright smile, guiding her into the shop. Glass, and china; crystal. Carved, intricate wooden statues of mahogany. Each piece was admired as it was meant to be. She picked up a small statue of Alice, when it made her think of Elke. Another small piece of a frog and a lotus was pointed out for her personal collection and boxed for her. And a third piece, the Frog Prince was selected for Audrey; she'd fretted about it, but in the end, they were her selections. She picked out a few small crystal pieces, and some trinkets made of rich mahogany. Her taste was eclectic, from an empress in her heavy robes to a nude, four crystal lotus candle holders and a set of china teacups. And she shopped like a professional. Or like a young woman with no concept of money. But she made sure to bring Eve in on almost everything, to keep the other young woman from getting bored. The entire time she made little comments; 'So what do you think of this professor?' and 'Do you have a roommate?' It was all light little questions. And the entire time she watched Eve like a hawk for if there was something the other young woman seemed to like.

Eve didn't mind; her blue eyes knew how to appreciate the artistic loveliness of each piece, and a small twinkle would appear in her eye coupled by a look of fondness upon anything remotely floral. And of course, they were many, especially the romantically themed ones which had flowers. She didn't linger too long on the couple statues though, even as they were nice to look at. There were times when she peered closer at some statues, and came away with a small grin, especially when dealing with one named Flowers of the Season and another named Spring of Love, the latter of which she seemed rather enamored by.
She did of course, reply to Jada as they walked. "I almost fell asleep once in his class! Not because I was bored; I was tired, but he's quite nice actually. I felt guilty about that, y'know." And "My roommate is Rea Marshall; she's seems like the quiet and reserved type, but she's really nice when you get to know her."
