Our battlefield is...
Forest Field: Thick trees sprout at random places throughout the field, some small while others seem to reach out and touch the ceiling of the stadium. As with ancient trees, some roots are seen being thrust above the ground which makes easy for a pokemon to trip if they do not watch where they are going. Spacing between the trunks vary, making passage difficult for those on the ground and in the air. The ground is littered with piles of pine needles, leaves, and sticks of all sizes; several tree trunks and rotting logs can be found scattered around as well. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to BUG type attacks.This field also reduces damage from FLYING type attacks by 25 HP.

Opal looked around the stadium. A lush green forest was spread out underneath her and her new partner: an Ursaring given to her by Meeka that Opal had renamed Ursalyn. The girl smiled at the Ursaring. The Pokemon gave a grunt and looked away. Opal's shoulders drooped. She had hoped that Ursalyn would have gotten used to her as a trainer by now, but it seemed at the Pokemon did not have much confidence in Opal. In her mind, the trainer hoped that this battle would help them bond a lot more.
Beside Opal's right shoulder was Nerezza the Gastly. She was not there to battle, but to simply accompany her human, who she was very attached to. The girl gave a sideways glance to Nerezza, who gave her trainer a slight grin, showing her sharp teeth. Opal then looked to Ursalyn, who gave another grunt. She smiled wistfully. And now all we have to do is wait...

Alice stepped up to her place at the other side of the tree-covered field. She'd been on a losing streak, and it was wearing on both her and her pokemon. The fact that the last loss had been to a rocket grunt, who also managed to escape, didn't help matters.
She rubbed her forehead and bent down to give Chewy a reassuring pet.
Chewy trotted out, his tail slightly lowered. The pup hadn't been acting like himself lately, maybe a battle would cheer him up. Well. A win.

Alice pat the badge pinned to the inside of her vest. Alright... We can't let that get us down."Chewy, get up close, get it's scent. Ice fang!" The pup gave one quick bark and then took off, sprinting between trees and making his way across the field towards the large white and gold bear. His mouth dripped white icy smoke as his fangs grew cold and chilled the air around them. 800/800 Hp

Ursalyn growled as she watched the Poochyena rush forward. Her eyes narrowed and she watched closely as it darted towards her. Somewhere she lost sight of it and her eyes darted around, looking for it once more. Suddenly, she felt a sharp sting that felt like ice on her and the cold began encasing her until she could not move. She growled again, thinking all the while of what move to use on this annoying little dog...
Opal watched as Ursalyn was being trapped helplessly in the ice. Her mind was racing and she hoped that the effects would not last for long. The Gastly behind her gave a small grin until her eyes fixed on the opponent trainer. She saw the tiniest glint of something shiny inside her vest. Nerezza's eyes narrowed just as the Ursaring's did and she kept her eyes locked on the strange woman.

Alice bounced ever so slightly with excitement. She hoped that the ice trap would last a few turns, but her expression turned dour when she noticed small cracks beginning to spread along the surface of the ice. "Chewy, rock smash, quick, before it gets out!" Chewy barked and growled at the frozen bear. He stopped suddenly when he heard his partner's command. She was right, the Ursaring wouldn't stay trapped for much longer. The pup darted off a few meters,turned, and started running at the trapped bear. When Chewy was close, he launched himself into the air. 800/800 hp

Opal saw small cracks beginning to form in the ice and she shouted out to Ursalyn. This may be their chance. "Quick, Ursalyn! Break out, and use Focus Punch!"
Usralyn saw the cracks as well, and she broke out of the ice in time to dodge the Poochyena's attack with slight ease. She gave a small sharp-toothed grin and flicked her ears to tell her trainer that she heard the command. With lightning speed, the Bear Pokemon stepped up on her hind legs and launched a powerful punch at her opponent as it neared.

The small dog went flying through the air, his small body slamming into a tree directly in his flight path. Chewy struggled back onto his paws and growled. That didn't turn nearly as awesome as he'd hoped. He turned his head; Time to try it again. The pup galloped towards the Ursaring, prepared to launch himself at it in another Rock Smash attempt. 650/800

Ursalyn grinned and gave a triumphant punch in the air. As she celebrated (perhaps a bit too early), she felt the Rock Smash attack in her side. She stumbled back a few paces, her balance slightly off-kilter. She emitted a growl from the back of her throat and winded up to release another Focus Punch on her opponent.

The Ursaring's punch slammed into Chewy again, sending him skidding across the ground a short distance. He sprung right back and attacked again with another rock smash. 500/800 hp

The Poochyena's third Rock Smash hit Ursalyn hard and she gritted her teeth as her claws scraped across the ground to get some hold. She glared at her opponent and threw another Focus Punch its way.

They weren't going to win this with brute strength... Alice called out for an ice fang attack, if they were going to win, that bear had to be immobilized. Chewy let out a low growl and ran towards the bear. 350/800
