Her ice blue eyes make her appear distant and cold, but her tender facial features betray the true kindness of her heart. Riya stands at a good 5'8" with the typical lean frame seen on many wolfriders, evidence of the physical training she has undergone since a young age. Her slender but muscular build is often hidden under elegant curves, but she has shown a grace and agility displayed by limber movements and quick reflexes.
As far as choice of clothing goes, Riya doesn't mind being in military uniform since she's usually either training or on guard in case of an unexpected attack. She does like to leave her hair free, but she will tie it back into a high ponytail or even a full braid when necessary. Otherwise, she is often seen in a casual pair of jeans and a dark shirt, not one to dress in feminine clothes. There are those days that she wants to feel pretty, in which case she'll throw on a skirt and nice blouse, but bottomed out with some dark boots. But a full dress? Never.Personality:Aeriya has long since been taught to behave like the perfect lady in the public eye, courteous and respectful to everyone, and especially to her superiors. She holds herself elegantly poised with a sense of grace and feminine pride, easily receiving admiration from those around her for her quiet confidence. Riya is also passive in the sense that she avoids conflict, quite capable of looking at both sides of a situation and holding her own judgment to herself. Rarely is there right or wrong, but when there is, then she won't hesitate to politely explain the details.
Public image aside, Riya is actually quite the carefree and outgoing woman. Among friends and close acquiantances, she shows her silly side by doing the most ridiculous things. As a result, she often finds herself in the most awkward situations which usually lead to an embarassing result. But she definitely knows how to take things in stride, laughing at herself when she completely makes a fool of herself in front of the "cute Sergeant." At the same time, she won't hesitate to poke fun of a close friend (but only if she knows said friend wouldn't be offended), in which case, said friend should watch his back and prepare himself for a friendly verbal spar.
A side of her that very few know about, Riya has in fact a very cynical and condescending attitude. For the most part, she's very kind to everyone and is more than willing to give them a chance to prove themselves. But one small mistep and she'll have a few not so kind thoughts about said person. Fortunately, she is far too kind-hearted to hold such negativity (or even a grudge) for too long, for all it takes is a nice compliment to win her over again. But should someone go too far in insulting her or her friends, then the offender will find themselves on the victim of Riya's rare show of temper -- usually a string of sharp words and less frequently, a fierce punch.History:Aeriya is the (unfortunate) twin sister of Damien, born to Shizuka White of White Shadow and an unknown father who their mother refuses to mention. As a result, Riya has completely pushed the though of the other side of her lineage aside -- after all, if her father was anything like Damien, then she considered herself lucky to not have known him. Their mother was one of the most renowned horse breeders, birthing the fastest and most fearless horses, and so Riya was raised surrounded by animals.
For the first few years of her life, Riya came to believe that Damien was in fact a girl, especially since their mother always dressed him up as such and dubbed him "Lily." So she almost always refers to him as her twin sister Lily, often confusing people when he actually shows up and introduces himself. Despite his dislike of this horrible (according to Damien) portion of their childhood, Riya finds sadistic pleasure in making fun of Damien in such a way. Unfortunately for Damien, her usual guilty conscience always seems to be absent when it comes to him.
Their mother had always pressed them to join the Academy as soon as they could, always speaking of "keeping the wolfriding lineage," which both have always found strange considering their mother had never been one (nor any of their grandparents, as far as they knew). But Riya had always had a passionate interest in animals, knowing that she wanted to pursue some kind of career with animals in the future. And so she figured, why not a wolfrider? The wolves were such regal creatures, and she always admired the wolfriders in the Fort. So as soon as she turned 18, Riya enlisted into the Academy -- unfortunately, her brother followed.
The two years in the Academy passed quickly, and soon Riya found herself bonded with a young blue female wolf. One look at the wolf and she immediately knew that the wolf was destined to be named Stardust. Upon graduation from the Academy, Riya decided she wanted to transfer to White Shadow -- her home. The fact that she knew Damien wanted to be as far away from their mother as possible was just coincidence, and she certainly didn't wait for him to transfer to New Eve first before she made her decision.
Now as an Apprentice in White Shadow under the patronage of Jacek Anatole, Riya is starting to learn that life as a wolfrider is even harder than she had thought despite being raised in the Fort. Nevertheless, she has found that she loves the pressure, thriving on the adrenaline of riding as one with Stardust.Family:Father: Unknown

 Name: StardustGender: FemaleAge: <1Pack: White ShadowRank: Gamma (Adolescent)Apperance: Stardust is a decent-sized wolf at 16.2 hh, though her slim frame makes her seem smaller. Her eyes are a sapphire blue and her fur is a soft shade of pastel blue marked by light spots of white like stars -- as implied by her namesake. Like most females, her form is light and slender, built for speed and especially agility. Stardust is capable of maneuvering swiftly and turning sharply, easily evading attacks because of her natural agility and quick footwork. While she lacks the strength that most males possess, she's not without the stamina that proves a wolf's true strength, able to run for miles on end without tiring.Personality:Stardust is as much wolf as one will see nowadays. She does not like to use human language unless absolutely necessary to emphasize her point or explain specific details, otherwise she usually keeps to using vocal sounds and body posture. But she's quite comfortable with 'chatting' with Riya as the only way to communicate to a human is by speaking human (obviously). However, Stardust never hesitates to respond to an Alpha and even a Beta should they address her in human speech, as she greatly respects her pack leaders and believes them to be on a higher intellectual level than her (if only slightly).
Quite a narcissistic and even somewhat arrogant wolf, Stardust somehow got the idea in her head that she would one day succeed the current Alphas. Fortunately she never outwardly shows such egotism, but only because she knows that the succession will come in time and before then, she must act the part of dutiful Gamma as she would want all her wolves to be like in her reign. Such an attitude may stem from the fact that Stardust is a very proud and confident wolf, impressively so for a mere Gamma. Yet at the same time, she certainly knows how to pay her respects to her superiors (and elders).
Much like her rider, Stardust is a very kind and polite wolf, one of the main reasons her arrogance has never surfaced beyond a simple thought. She treats all her pack brothers and sisters with generosity and respect, though at the same time, she expects the treatment to be returned. There are times when another wolf gets on her nerves, in which case she simply walks away and ignores said wolf altogether. After all, she finds it a waste of her time to argue with silly wolves that are hardly worth her energy. Otherwise, she's actually very nice -- but don't expect her to be a good 'chat'-buddy or even playmate.History:As a young but adventurous pup, she loved to explore as soon as she could, observing her surroundings and picking up on things very quickly. Her favorite past time was watching the bolder Recruits try to approach her cave before her mother chased them away. Other than that, she found little interest in the two-legged creatures and ignored their proximity to her life. But once she was three months old, it was inevitable that she meet the Recruits chosen for her. Almost immediately her mind found Riya's and the young pup approached the girl without glancing at any of the others.
Soon after the bonding, the pair was transferred to White Shadow. Stardust, as she had been named, went through the next year of her life learning the social behavior of the pack. She found little interest in the other humans aside from Riya, but otherwise integrated herself nicely with the wolves, especially growing fond of her patron Copperblaze whom she has come to respect.Color: steelblue
