You're stuck without a ride or a cell phone about three miles from home. You have one dollar in your pocket and you're starving. Do you buy something off a dollar menu and start walking or take the bus and fight hunger pains?

50 cents for the payphone, to get a ride, and 50 cents for a candy bar. That'll tide me over, so I can bum a smoke off somebody. That'll keep me until my ride gets here, and takes me home.

I would catch the bus. What if there is no one available to pick you up? You would have wasted your dollar and would not be able to catch the bus. And if you live a long way away from shops like I do.. you would really need that dollar for the bus >_> Eat when you get home...

go on a bus, then eat at home, if there is no food at home, went to a neighbor's house, if still no food gonk gonk gonk ... cry is in the middle of the road, say that you're an orphan and raised by a cruel uncle and had not been fed for two days
