Tamu found himself wandering fairly close to the territory of a Pride - he didn't know much about it other then his mother had once met a male from the pride before he had been born. He wasn't to worried about being close to them, firstly his mother had told him the lion had been fairly nice and secondly - he had no intentions of actually crossing into their lands themselves...he was just close.
No one ever got in trouble for being close right? Tamu had no idea...but he didn't care either way, it was a nice day for a walk, his mother was off hunting and his brother..well he was probably staring at the sky or something like he always did. Wingu was a little weird, Tamu loved him...but he was weird.

Once again Nyota was escaping her Noble life for something less glamorous but tons more fun. It had taken an extra bit of work to sneak away today. Ever since her mother had caught her not long ago Maua had been keeping an extra watchful eye on her daughter. Even the guards seemed to be more observant towards the cubs actions. Well in the end she had outsmarted them once more. Having hid herself amongst some of the costumes of the performers to wait a guard patrol Nyota dashed out of the pride lands.
Letting out a small, but quiet laugh of victory as she glanced back towards the prides lands. Returning her gaze forward she bounded off, but didn't get far before she noticed another lion. His brown, white and blue pelt stood out a bit and she tilted her head as she regarded him. He wasn't part of the pride as far as she knew, unless he was new. Turning she padded towards him. "Hey!"

Tamu hadn't really been paying attention to the pride boarder - and even if he had been he certainly wouldn't have expected another cub to appear. Didn't pride cubs have nannies or something like that following them around all the time? That's what he'd heard anyways. Still it might be nice to stop and talk to her - even if she did look a little bit younger, a new playmate would be welcome. Wingu always got distracted half way through their games.
"Hello!" He greeted the violet cub as she approached "Do you live in that Pride there?" He asked out of curiosity though his eyes strayed slightly to look behind her, as though searching for someone following her.

Slowing down her pace as she neared the larger cub Nyota smiled. "Yes I live there." Confirming his question with a nod of her head. But her attention quickly turned back to the border as he glanced in that direction. But to her relief there were no guards, or more importantly, no Maua following her. Seemed that she had made a clean escape, but sticking this close to the border for long might not be so.
"If you wanna keep talking can we get further away from the border at least?" She suggested to him but didn't wait for him answer before turning and walking off. "I'm Nyota." She called to him over her shoulder. "What's your name?"

Tamu was a little bit confused about why she would want to walk away from the pride lands but shrugged and turned to follow her anyways "Sure I suppose..." He told her as he trotted a bit to catch up "Are you running away from home or something?" He asked as he drew along side her once more, tiling his head slightly as he looked down at her.
"I'm Tamu Ujasiri, but everyone just calls me Tamu" He answered as she asked for his name. "It's a pleasure to meet you Nyota, I haven't seen many other cubs around except for my brother"

"Not exactly running away." Nyota told him after a pause, now that they were further away from the border she felt it was safe to stop and talk, and perhaps play too. "More like taking a break from the boring life of a noble." There was really not other way to explain it to him, how esle could one tell another why she was running out of the prides lands. That she just had the urge to run and this direction looked as good as any.
"Well Tamu, it's nice to meet you too." Nyota took a moment to regard his colorful looking pelt, glad there wasn't a trace of purple on it. "All the other cubs around here stay in the prides borders." She said with a shrug.

Noble..noble, Tamu spun the word about in his mind ,trying to recall its meaning. He was pretty sure that he'd heard it before but it wasn't exactly a word used in the everyday language of a rogue. "A noble eh...thats some sort of fancy life right?" He wasn't sure why she would be running away from that, it was probably better then his life. Well if he got the definition right.
"So did you have any plans for their trip of yours or were you just going to wander?" He asked her - he knew the land pretty well and well maybe he'd show her a few places. She seemed nice enough so far and it might be fun to play around the fallen tree or the dried up wash...or maybe the rock pile with all of its hidey holes.

Nodding slowly to confirm his words. "Yes, I suppose it is a fancy life. But it's horribly boring to me. You always have to look and act proper." That sent an involuntary shiver down her spine. Noble life just wasn't for Nyota, or at least it wasn't right now, things could change in the future.
Giving him a shrug. "I haven't really planned that far ahead. Usually I just wander if I make it past the guards." Nyota tilted her her to the side in thought. Tamu could probably show her things out here that she herself couldn't find. "Maybe you could show me around? I haven't spent much time out of the pride. Anything of interest around here?"

"gotcha" Tamu told Nyota with a slight bob of his head - he had always assumed such a life entailed lazing about, being brought your food, having everyone else get you what you want...it hadn't sounded like a bad rap to him, but then again being forced to act a certain way all the time didn't sound all that appealing. His life might be harder, but at least he could do what he pleased. "I don't think anyones told me what to do - well you know except for my mother telling me to be careful and the like" He mused as they walked along, his mind already leaping ahead, where should he take her?
"Theres lots of interesting places out here, theres a dried up stream where me and my brother have races, an a rock piles thats so big its great for hide and seek!...oh and a fallen tree thats all hollowed out and makes a neat tunnel...what would you like to see?"

"I wish they would stop telling what to do all the time." Nyota half mumbled but then perked up at his suggestions of something to do. Well they all sounded very interesting. The dried up river could be fun, but Tamu was quite a bit bigger than she was so racing would be unfair, even if he let her win. Hide and seek in a pile of rocks might be entertaining, and chances are there would be places that only she could fit in. A hollowed out tree tunnel also sounded like a blast.
There were too many good options, but she didn't want to stand here thinking about it all day. "Yeah, let's go see that fallen tree!" She said enthusiastically. Who knows, maybe there might be other things and places of interest near it. "Do you and your brother play there alot?" She asked as they continued to walk along, she could only assume that they were walking in the right direction.

"Alright!" Tamu agreed enthusiastically - he always liked the tree, what cub wouldn't like a place like that though? No adult could possibly fit inside it - Tamu would be sad when he outgrew it but by that time well who knew where he would be. "Yeah we play there allot - but Wingu is a bit odd, he tends to get distracted easily, one second we'll be playing a game and the next he's staring at the clouds and talking about butterfly's or something" He let out a soft huff - clearly saying 'brothers...' without actually saying it.
Trotting ahead of her a bit to lead her a little to the right he glanced back over his shoulder "What about you do you have any siblings?" Tamu was slightly curious his family ? well they weren't exactly normal, his parents weren't together and he hardly knew two of his siblings at all.

Nyota could relate to having odd siblings. Well maybe they weren't as odd as Tamu's brother, but hers seemed to mostly relish in the noble life and thought her attitude towards it was just silly. Though she did wonder why his brother stared at the clouds, sure they were pretty at times but there were so many other things in life to appreciate other than the clouds. Nyota couldn't help but let out a small snicker.
"I have five siblings, four sisters and a brother." She told him after she refocused her thoughts. "They don't play with me that much. They are all too busy being proper nobles to play with a rebel like me." Letting out a soft chuckle, but every not and then they did play with her. Or at least pretend to play with her just to see what she was up to.

Tamu gave Nyota an amused look "So your like what..the black antelope of the family?" He asked her before stopping to gesture with his paw as the fallen tree came into sight "Look! there it is" He told her before bounding forward. It was pretty cool that Nyota was something of a rebel and not a prissy pride lion like a few other cubs he'd run across.
"You should be a rogue like us if you don't like being in a Pride" He told her as he leapt on top of the giant hollowed log and turned about to face her again "No one ever tells us when to do"

"Yeah it's something like that. At least in my mother's opinion." While Maua seemed completely taken aback by her daughters actions Kivuli didn't seem to mind a bit as long as she didn't get hurt. Maybe she was just too much like her father and that was why her mother was so disapproving.
Eyes widened at the sight of the fallen tree. Oh that looked like loads of fun and she bounded off after Tamu. "Some days I wish I was a rogue." She mumbled under her breath. Nyota jumped up, but since her legs were a bit shorter than Tamu's she didn't land on top of the tree, but more near it. Clawing her way to the top she gave him a triumphant look. No tree would stop her from having fun. "Maybe one day I can be a rogue. But I think I'm a bit young to leave my pride." Her eyes turned out towards the savannah. She could see quite far from on top of this tree. "So what now?" Nyota asked with a smile.

Tamu moved back to give Nyota room as she clawed her way to the top of the log, his tail swaying slightly for balance as he skittered across the top of it. "Well that's true I suppose' He agreed "At least without someone to take care of you anyways, my brother and I, we were born rogues but we had mum to watch after us. I don't think it was very easy on her...but hey she did alright I'm still here anyways!" He told the purple cub before he disappeared down a hole about halfway down the log only to pop out again from a different hole back on the ground.
Rearing up he batted at Nyota who was still on top of the log "This was one of the places mum used to hide us when were were cubs, said it was safe from other predators...well mostly, still have to watch for snakes and stuff"
