Name: Alessa David

Nicknames: Sheep, and any variation thereof. She doesn’t like it. But, hey. She doesn’t publicly complain.

Age: 16

Birthday: January 29

Sign: Aquarius

Blood Type: O+

Height: 166cm

Fav. Food: about any kind of pasta, even the instant kind. And sandwiches, nothing better than BLT.

Hated Food: mashed potatoes. Beans. Cakes that are very sugary, seriously, how can people even digest these?

School: Meadowview High School

Hobbies:
Jogging - Running is so very simple: it doesn’t require accessories or a lot of training, can be done anytime, anywhere, and there’s no set rules. Whenever Alessa feels upset, she runs in a park or another nice area. Can you run? Do you like talking when you’re jogging? Do you have something that plays music, a radio, a walkman, anything? Awesome, now, you’re her friend. She by no means reaches an athletic level, but all those years of practice allowed her to run faster and longer than average. Just a bit.

Babysitting - Now, now, don’t look at me like that. Taking care of the young or the weak not only provides her decent incomes whenever she needs money, but it is also one of the few things that make her feel useful and whole. She's often considered by kids to be too boring, but no parent so far has had any complaint to file. Because when she really does focus on an activity, such as this one, she loses all clumsiness.

Cheesy movies - If it’s a reference among the geeks, chances are she’s watched it. Twice. And enjoyed it. Parodies are also very much liked (did I just hear “Kill Bill”?). Sci-fi fills another fine spot in her heart, though all the techno-babble goes over her head. More recent movies just take themselves too seriously. Also, too many half-naked chicks.

Gemstone: Garnet

Virtues:
Trustworthy - Alessa will listen to you (or pretend very well she does). She will lend you an ear even when she’s busy. Chances are she will remember what has bugged you last Wednesday, and ask you if it has since been resolved. And if you tell her a secret, Alessa will never spill it in your back, ever, even under the threat of death*. Of course, it means she has to be told what you just told her is a secret, because she can be bad at guessing the obvious sometimes.
* actually, she has never been threatened of anything that grave before. Of course. But she’s really serious about secrets.

Helpful - That’s what the girl is. Sometimes (read: often) clumsy, but she will lend a hand to about anyone who needs it that isn’t her enemy. She doesn’t even need to be asked! That book you dropped on the floor? She’ll take it and hand it back to you. That huge pile of dictionaries lying on the floor? Yep, that too. Ask her to put it back into a nice pile, and she will (not without bumping once or twice the paper tower and starting over, of course, but beggars can’t be choosers).
No, she won’t, however, help you rob someone. Nice try, but she’s not THAT stupid. She draws the line at anything ambiguous.

Easygoing - Alessa is very much able to question and make fun of herself. It’s hard to actually offend her. There is no such thing as “srs bsns” to her. She can put her dignity aside temporarily for a good laugh. And because she doesn’t believe in extremism, only exceptional circumstances can possibly make her force someone to do anything. Do as you will as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone! She’s not the funniest gal in the universe, far from it, but chances you’ll enjoy her sense of humor all the same.

Flaws:
Plain - The poor girl doesn’t really exist for herself. She doesn’t have many hobbies. She’s a clumsy jack-of-all-trades and master of absolutely none at all. Her personality is not very complex. Her intelligence is average. She’s not especially funny. She has no interesting story to tell. She’s not even that pretty. And she knows that. Look, if you want to have actual fun with someone, you might want to hang out with someone else.

Real or not, that’s what she thinks, anyway. It's not that she thinks so low of herself she shouldn't exist, but as soon as someone else steals the spotlight, she'll say goodbye and back away. Competing with other people? C'mon, they must be more fun or more interesting or smarter, why would she bother trying? She needs friends to claim some love. Meekly.

Avoids conflict - Yeah, yeah, “Sheep” because of her hair, that’s very smart. Ahah. Not. It was not funny the first time, and it still isn’t. But Alessa doesn’t say anything and just lets it go. Everyone will forget that eventually, right? (She won’t, but she doesn’t like to admit she can hold grudges for a very long time.) Let it be, it’s not worth the fuss, and maybe she’s just overreacting.
She does that with about everything. At best, she will minimize the problem, and pretend she will deal with it personally. She won’t. Which brings us to another problem of hers…

Ready to explode - … after accumulating enough steam, she snaps. It can result in a lot of shouting, stuff being broken, or even kicking. The last offense can be a drop, and she will react violently, leaving everyone puzzled.
Alessa will go to her normal state fairly quickly and apologize profusely. Because most of the time, she really doesn’t mean it. To prevent that, she clears her mind with her hobbies, but it’s not always enough. It’s best if nobody but her (and maybe the victim) witnesses her snapping.

Physical description:

Hair: CURLY. Poofy. Where do you think that nickname came from? *cough* I mean, very curly brown hair resting on her shoulders. Large sideways bang over her forehead. Princess curls aren’t completely unheard of, either, when she's in the mood.

Eyes: large, dark brown eyes.

Face: slightly chubby and round. Heart-shaped lips. Small nose.

Body: slightly chubby. Muscular legs. 5’4”. Caucasian. Average everything else.

Fashion: rectangular glasses. A heavy golden bracelet with sky blue beads. Comfy and boring clothes. Jeans and shorts, but no skirt unless it's the uniform.

Sailor Hermes, Parallel Senshi of Mist

Hobbies:
Linguistics - Back in the Black Moon kingdom, Hermes used to study the various languages used around the world, eager to find out the similarities between them. She didn’t go very far in her studies though, and now that she’s in our dimension, her knowledge isn’t worth much anymore: the languages are too different. That doesn’t stop Hermes, however: she’s trying to find similarities between this world’s and her world’s languages, and as eager to find concepts unknown in other languages. Learning is a very hard task, especially given her chaotic schedule, and it’s unlikely she will ever learn to say more than a very simple sentence in any language other than English. Nonetheless, foreign words pop up a lot in conversations (often with the wrong pronunciation, or used in the wrong context). And now she’s slowly getting the hang of Internet, it’s very hard to stop her.

Running - Much like Alessa, Hermes is a jogger. Unlike her however, she practices much more seriously. It is not a way to relief her stress, it is essential training. Running can make all the difference in a battle. Especially when you need to do a strategic retreat. Hey, there’s nothing wrong with fleeing, now.

Travelling – Hermes isn’t so much of a sedentary person. Every once in a while, she’s got to see new places, new people. She would go crazy if she weren’t allowed to at least walk in less familiar landscapes. Earth? Is unlike anything she’d seen before. Maybe too different for her to fully enjoy it upon first contact. The soldier needs something that everyone is looking for in order to enjoy new sights: a home she knows she can go back to. Once she finds that equivalent on that parallel planet, she will go back to her old self and appreciate the unknown sights and sounds.

Alcohol - A guilty pleasure. She can’t say no to wine, as it especially reminds her of her homeworld. Although she quite enjoys other alcoholic beverages as well. Quite the happy drunk, once imbibed, she laughs at any joke thrown in her general direction, and becomes lewd. She enjoys drinking a lot more when surrounded with friends; she won’t drink alone of her own accord unless she’s feeling seriously down.

Virtues:

Curious (Let’s try this…)- She tries out new stuff, and old stuff in new situations. It very well may have surprising and positive results, after all. However, she is not completely mindless about it: she won’t risk her safety just for the lulz, and does put some logical thinking before acting. This one is a hard cat to kill, because she's very likely to have thought about all the possible negative consequences before she acted.

Vigilant (I’m still watching you.)- That senshi’s hard to catch by surprise. Her fear of failure makes her extra attentive to what’s going on around her. Her ears, her nose, her eyes are on the lookout even when she seems relaxed. Chances are she already knows you’re there before you noticed her. While she can hear something, she may not know what it is. Maybe it’s just a cat. Or a leaf. It could be many things, and she’s not always sure how to react.

Smart (Let’s consider X and Y, it may very well be actually Z.)- Hermes seeks knowledge and information, and puts it in application when needed. It is a combination of a reasonably good memory, thirst for knowledge… and the wisdom to admit she could still be wrong about the facts. She is by no way a supergenius, and needs to study as much as your typical student to get all her facts straight. She is just much more motivated to do so. Plus, knowing something doesn’t mean she knows how to do it.

Honesty (I’m sorry, I’m feeling very X about it…)- Her feelings won’t go ignored. Expressing them is important. Hypocrisy isn’t her thing, and it is important to let go some steam and explain her opinion on a subject. Now, she doesn’t manage to always be tactful about it, but she tries.

Flaws:

Paranoid (Shut up, they’re gonna hear us. What do you mean, “who”?)- Being attentive to everything isn’t just a blessing. It is also a curse that makes Hermes assume the worst and fear imaginary enemies. Even some of the other parallels she may not trust entirely. While she assumes anyone could be secretly out for her blood, the Black Moon court members have a small advantage: there’s no way they would be working for the enemy outright in her mind, but who knows when they’re being watched by them?
It often leads her to mood swings and bouts of selfishness, where saving her own a** is just so much more important than yours (unless you’re Nehelenia or Aphrodite). She won’t bother saving a civilian that’s being attacked by a Negaverser, instead, she’ll wait for the moment they’re at their most vulnerable to attack, simply because she’s not entirely sure she can trust the victim either.

Cocky (Were you too busy being so pathetic to dodge that awesome attack?) - Now now now, she’s usually rather calm and serious and humble, but once she achieves something… ooooh boy. She gets loud and obnoxious. Here’s a (non-exhaustive) list of what she can do then:
-joking
-taunting
-bragging
-cackling
-all of the above.

For the love of everything that is holy, once she starts being a smartass… please recall her it’s an incredibly stupid thing to do. Though once she's done being an annoying p***k, chances are she will have a paranoid fit right after that.

Independant (I was doing fine until you came along!)- You remember the part where she avoids helping people because of mistrust issues? In return, she tends to deny ever having needed assistance of any kind. Deep inside, that would equal weakness. And she doesn’t want to show physical weakness. Of course, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know when to retreat: she does. The problem lies in having someone else save her a**. Even on the verge of death, she would use her last strength to grumble and punch you for daring taking her away from the battlefield and proving she's a complete failure.
Weakness.

Insecure (I’m not sure I can do it…)- Hermes needs to be regularly reassured about her worth. Even though she is a Black Moon soldier, she just has this inferiority complex she can’t quite get rid of. She’s always afraid of failure. She’s always afraid of being a failure. What if something goes wrong?
Hermes wants to make people proud of her; however, she also keeps in mind that, at any moment, she could lose even when she does her best. But how to be sure her best is enough? It’s even hard for her to tell when she doesn’t hold responsibility for a failure. There is no balance when it comes to confidence: she’s either both overzealous and stressed (often), either an arrogant p***k (less often, and followed by more self-deprecation). Someone could really afford to hire cheerleaders half-time.

Sailor Hermes, Parallel Senshi of Mist

Challenge: I will ask you only once: disappear.

Attack 1
Hermes’ Vigilance!:
Mist appears in the area around her. It does what normal mist does: you can’t see too well further than several feet away. It also has the effect of cranking up paranoia to 11. It’s easier to see shadows, and they seem a tad more menacing than before. Objects that aren’t supposed to move look like they’re alive. That threatening behemoth over there? Actually a car. The tall guy who surely has evil intentions? A stop sign. Once you’re aware that’s what the attack does, it is a bit easier to concentrate on your real target, but you still can’t help but feel like you’re being watched…
Hermes is immune to the paranoia effect (or else she'd be an utter wreck). Also, the surrounding water and moisture is what’s make up the mist. Should she try using it during the heat of summer, the mist is going to vanish very, very fast. Can be used once per battle.

Attack 1a
Hermes’ Veil!:
Mostly the same as before. The mist gets thicker and muffles sounds. Hermes alone becomes able to see better in the mist (but never as well as in fair weather).

Attack 2
Frigid Mist of the Psychopomp!:
Hermes spins, and a wave of mist appears that engulfs violently the immediate area. It leaves a layer of ice on everything it touches, including the ground and people. The mist disappears as it touches something, thus only affecting the side of stuff directed towards the senshi. This can really hurt on unprotected skin, watch out!
The frozen ground is very slippery and reflective. It is easy to deflect the rush of mist with wind, barriers or other special attacks. If Hermes can’t at least starts spinning, the attack cannot be launched. Can be used once a day.

Fuku Colour:
Dominant:
pick whatever you prefer between teal, light blue, crimson, scarlet, emerald green and purple.
Accent: same as the dominant colour: pick whichever you’d like!

Others:

- If I am allowed to decide the colour her eyes change into, can I suggest a very pale color? If I can’t choose that either, I’m sorry. D:

-Why should Alessa be converted by Nehelenia? There are several reasons for that. First, Alessa is non-confrontational, sometimes to a ridiculous extent, and I have no doubt Corinna can get along with her (or rather, won’t find many reasons to avoid her). Second, helping is her second nature. It’s good to have someone you can rely on as a civilian (plus there’s the hope that character trait might rub off on Hermes). Third, she’s in Meadowview as well. It really helps for everyday interactions. Fourth, she’s pretty unsuspecting and, well, normal. A boring girl like her is a perfect cover. Fifth, as mentioned above, the good parts of Hermes’ personality might help Alessa find her inner strength, dare step into the spotlight, and deal with her frustrations in other ways than her occasionnal tantrum.

-I'm playing here with the ominous use of mist/fog. Everyone who's been caught in a thick mist can relate with the helplessness or paranoia, right?

Now, you can post! Keep in mind Alessa is an already existing character and was approved long ago as is; I cannot make significant change to her personality, only add details or reword stuff.

Changed Hermes' personality so that it would clash a lot less with Alessa's: pride has been replaced with insecurity, and toughness with vigilance.

Replaced selfishness with paranoia in order to make her personality more coherent.
