Orion ventured to a clearing, he had never been here before -but considering he hadn't really been anywhere bar where he lived that was not suprising. He had learnt a few days ago that the sun took naps behind the mountains which created night but the part before with all the colours was a sunset. His friend Fleurite really seemed to like them. Which brought him to wondering... what would he like?
He yawned a little, it was late afternoon and after sleeping for most of the day inside his little basket it was hard work to be up for so long. Yet he was determined, there was way too much to explore and discover to allow himself to simply sleep his life away. And just as that thought crossed his mind he saw something. "Bird..." he spoke. Titling his head to watch it as he flew from tree to tree, the colours were wonderful and the sound of wind and fluttering feathers intreguied him. He liked birds. "Chirp chirp" he mused in an attempt to communicate but as always the creature simply ignored him and went about his buisness. Typical. It seems only a few things would talk to him. Leaves where silent as they flickered and hit you as you passed, the clouds just loomed above never making a noise, and the grass simply whistled with the wind. They all made noises but not in his language.
Yawning again he pulled himself away from the bird and the tree so that he was firmly at the egde of the clearing, before him was a wide open field with sweet humming grass blowing and tickling his ankles. He let out a playful giggle before speaking again, "Don't do that grass!" He giggled again, "...that tickles!" But as always it simply ignored him and went about tickling him. He wiggled his nose making the star like freckles dance upon his cheeks, his mother told him to ask for things but that didn't seem to help considering most things simply ignored him.
Exhaling heavily he lowered his head to the ground, his rump automatically lifting to wiggle in the air as his eyes scan the clearing just above grass level. "I wonder what it would be like be as small as a grasshopper?" He mused before skipping forward humming a random tune that his mother usually sang. He looked up and saw the clouds as they danced carelessly above, he skipped and span in an effort to follow them but as always they where too fast for him. "Come back..." he called, yet once again they simply ignored him. Plopping himself onto the ground with a soft thud he pouted, "why does everything just ignore me? Its no fun." Perhaps he should just go home afterall?

Emerging out of the forest in a rush, the young foal took in the sight of the clearing quickly before turning her gaze to see if anyone was behind her. She managed to slip away from the stallion known as her “father” while he had gotten distracted with someone… or something. Whatever it was, she managed to run away. How exhilarating that was! She could still feel her heart pounding in her chest. A small smirk appeared on her lips, quite pleased.
Turning her attention away from the forest, she looked back out into the forest. Her gaze turned to the colt before her. He was quite interesting to say the least. He had odd things on his back, and she had no clue what it was. She snorted. It was hideous, and reminded her of a bug.
Her ears perked up, and listened to the stallion. He seemed to be having a conversation with himself. Quite odd in her books, but then again, she came from quite the odd family. At least that was rumored since she never really got to meet her mother’s side of the family. She would always dream of the reunion, and feel utter paradise to be with her mother and not her wretched, idiotic bumbling mess of a father. Anyways, she pulled her consciousness away from her thoughts and back to what was in front of her.
Stepping forward, the young filly came closer to the colt. When she was within hearing distance, she cleared her through. “Ahem.” She said, eying the colt, awaiting for him to turn around and acknowledge her presence.

Orion jumped out of his skin at the sudden sound behind him, nothing had ever replied to him before... and when he turned around he saw why... someone else was here. His ears automatically lowered as he looked at her, the buds on his back itched and he pulled them closer, everyone always looked at them and all Orion wanted to do was be rid of them. He would rather look like a regular and never have the teasing hint of wings that have these things on his back... too small to be of any use.
He felt his cheeks heat with a blush, though thankfully it wasn't visable through his black pelt. "Em.... hello." He stood there, watching and waiting. What did she want with him? He half expected her to laugh or call him a name... that had happened before, and was the main reason why he sought out the company of nature. Nature never mocked him or replied... yes it was lonely, but at least he didn't feel like a freak and an outcaste, even if he was.
In his mind he took in the features of the filly. Her pelt was far more interesting that his own, and topped with an interesting mane of green. His own was very boring, bare a small patch on his nose his pelt was jet black, there was hint of blue in his mane and tail and even in his would-be-wings, but other than that he was plain.... a walking shadow, he just wished he was ignored as such.

Concordia Discors quirked a brow at him briefly, seeing his sudden jump at the sight of her. She refrained from smirking at the action and observed the young colt from where she was standing.
"Hello there." She greeted quietly to the young colt. She did not appear frightened or nervous, but simply pleasant and displayed some confident air about her. "Who were you talking to just a moment earlier, if you do not mind me asking?" She asked in her most politest voice, staring at the colt in curiosity.
