Blue eyes watched the empty streets of Destiny City as a shadowy figured remained silently perched atop one of the many businesses near the Destiny City Shopping District.
Margaret Butler, or rather, Sailor Duhr, was quietly chewing away on one of many waffles stored away in the paper bag alongside her. Her giant skirt was fluffed and spread out, her heels tucked indian-style under her legs as she kept lookout atop the roof of the only IHOP located in the city.
She'd learned, over time, that there was trouble no matter where you roamed. So, as concerned as she was for the only IHOP Destiny City had to offer its citizens, Sailor Duhr had made a habit of coming by to patrol by her favorite restaurant, to keep matters safe. And by patrol, she really meant sit atop the roof as she was currently doing, eating waffles until the bag was gone. In which, after that, she would merely hop off the roof and head back to Crystal Academy. There was rarely any trouble, but the possibility was always there. And with that possibility always there, Sailor Duhr would always be needed to watch out for her beloved IHOP.
After wiping the crumbs from her latest waffle onto one of the giant blue bows, she dug her hand back into the white bag, dragging out her second waffle of the evening. It was a quiet night. Too quiet, in fact.

A little girl trundled along the streets at the dead of night, picking up pebbles, examining them, and then putting them back down again. She was quiet except for the time that she tangled her heels in her ribbons and fell down on her bottom-- even then she didn't cry, or scream, just a soft oof as the air escaped from her lungs.
She was looking for something.
Peering up in to the night sky, the little girl-- obviously playing Sailor Scout by her ridiculous outfit, no scout was quite so tiny-- waved up at the Sailor Senshi.
And then she wasn't there anymore, and was sitting beside Sailor Duhr before you could blink.
The little girl waved again, directly in Sailor Duhr's face and smiled winningly, nodding her head to and fro.

At first she'd thought it was a trick of the shadows. A small figure, no, a kid, walking around alone at night?
But the street lamp overhead revealed the brown, purples and white adorning the figure, and the last time Duhr checked, shadows didn't have color. At least, from what she recalled after staring at her own shadow.
She paused mid-chew to stare. What in the world...?
Her mouth opened to holler down at the small kid (who had obviously seen her, judging by the friendly wave she was motioning in Duhr's direction) but the moment her lips opened to reveal the half-eaten waffle within, the figure was gone.
Eyebrows furrowed, and she stared at the now empty sidewalk. A soft rustle of the side of her skirt forced her head back around, and blue eyes grew wide as she realized the sidewalk child was standing right next to her. And, now that she was closer, she could see that the child was bearing a similar fuku to the other senshi Duhr had come into contact with. But a child senshi...?
It took her a few moments for her thoughts to catch up to her - a senshi was here. A midget senshi. A senshi who could pop from one place to another in a blink of an eye. Was that her power, poppin' around?
Reaching into the white bag, the senshi of tornadoes pulled out a fresh waffle and held it out to the waving figure. "Want a waffle, kid?"
The half eaten one returned to her mouth, and she began to chew once more, her eyes never leaving the strange little senshi midget that now stood (rather happily) beside her.

Little Star took the waffle greedily, balancing the somewhat soggy griddle cake between her two hands while she questioningly took a nibble. She had never tasted the like.
The waffle was eaten in fast succession, pieces of cake stuck around her mouth and cheeks-- even on her gloves too, but Little Star didn't seem to mind, smiling broadly at Duhr.
The midget senshi still had not said a peep, and reached out to tangle her grubby hands in Duhr's curls.
Thank goodness the waffles had been syrup free.
