Yes. Feel free to ask even if you think you'll sound stupid. You may to some, but there's usually at least 1 person who can relate to you or answer it (or both).

Exactly what I'm saying only in a different way. There's no such thing as a stupid question. Just people who don't like the sound of certain questions.

Tell her you understand what has happened and you and your friends are there for her no matter what. Try to make her feel like no matter what happened to her you're still there for her

Just ask. But please stay sensitive to people's feelings... I wouldn't mind telling you anything that has do with the rape, As long as you ask sincerely. C:

She has to recover at her own pace.

I have a question too. If you've been hurt, and after a while it's haunting you and people keep talking about it indirectly and it's effecting you worse, is therapy the right thing to handle it? I really think I need some therapy even though I was sexually attacked, molested, and near raped 5 months ago. It's getting worse and I feel like I need help, but I don't know who or what can. So therapy yes? no?

It depends on how comfortable you are with talking to others about what's happened to you. Though, I disagree with what Kiss me im Irish said, I feel that sometimes therapy can really be helpful, depending on how comfortable you are, and how the therapist works with you as well. I've just recently stopped going to therapy about two weeks ago, but I loved it while I was attending. Group sessions are always the best too... It's really helpful to hear about other people's struggles and how they overcome things that you're going through yourself. Not to mention, group therapy sessions is a great way to make new friends.
