-Really enjoyed the special episode.
- Nice mention of 'Torchwood', even if we didn't actually see them. Their 'murder' of the Sycorax suggests many darker things to come. Both for the Doctor Who series and the new Torchwood series.
- Very Arthur Dent.
- Loved the Tardis Wardrobe room. I knew there had to be one.

I'm so jealous of you folks in the UK... gonk
You mean the new Doctor's very Arthur Dent-ish? As in the guy from Hitchhiker's?
Please keep the feedback coming in! 3nodding

Okay, is this going to be a weekly thing again? When's the next episode? And all that stuff after the show - is that all for the next EPISODE or a season overview teaser? Cause there was TONS of stuff in there!
And, i'm not in England. Bittorrent is my friend. If I could get it here in US, I would. However, I do plan on buying the DVD set in Feb.

I just finished watching it. Not bad for a Christmas episode... it had some legitimate tension, but it was also loaded with fun and humor, as befitting the holiday season. A bit unusual that the Doctor was zonked out for the majority of the episode.
I was a bit surprised at the PM's decision at the end, and after being rather erratic up to that point (which I assume was mostly the usual post-regeneration wackiness, and not a reflection of how Doctor #10 will normally be portrayed), his sudden serious turn was quite well done, IMHO. Overall, I found it to be an enjoyable episode, and I think they've definitely picked a winner with Tennant!

Hairy Priest You mean the new Doctor's very Arthur Dent-ish? As in the guy from Hitchhiker's? While he's wandering around in Pyjamas and a dressing gown, the Doctor actually says "Very Arthur Dent." I knew they were going to get a reference like thatin somewhere. whee Mistypaw Okay, is this going to be a weekly thing again? When's the next episode? And all that stuff after the show - is that all for the next EPISODE or a season overview teaser? Cause there was TONS of stuff in there! The new series starts in the spring, or so the announcer said. Damn announcer, speaking over the end theme. The end theme was the full length version of the theme tune, with that bit in the middle that goes....Err...the bit that isn't ooo-eee-oooo. I love that part! *squee* It's a season overview teaser. The only clips I can put to an episode are the ones with Anthony Head: Episode 3, School Reunion.

Oh, okay. See, I was far to busy freaking out, jumping up an down, and screaming to listen to the announcer. At least I have this to watch a quarter of a million times over until the season starts proper.

A day late, but I finaly saw it! biggrin
So that WAS Anthony Steward Head in the previews? He wasn't on for very long, so I wasn't sure, but I was all "OMG it's Gilles!" (D'Oh, total Buffy fangirl moment there).
Anywho, the special was AMAZING! I'm so glad CBC showed it! And it was fun seeing Billy Piper doing announcements in between with a sweater that said Canada on it. XD
But yes, words cannot describe how awsome it was. I can't wait for the new season.

I... Liked the episode... I just didn't like... Tenant. He's too... formal if I can use those words. He did a terrible job on Barty Crouch Jr, and who's to say that he hasn't been imployed to (again) try and bring an end to Doctor Who, as Colin baker was?! I wish Ecclesotn hadn't gone... At least HE knew what clothes were cool!!! I mean, a SUIT?!
I just hope the return of my favourite bad bastards, the Cybamen/Cybermen, changes my opinion.

I thought he did a great job... sad He's quoted as saying Doctor who was his favorite Show as a kid and that he wants to top Tom Baker as the longest running Doctor. Colin Baker did a good job too.. sad Your just too picky...

I actually quite like the suit. Maybe it's from watching too much Yami no Matsuei, but I thought he looked absolutely stunning in it.
