Yes, 'tis a bit old-fashioned, but then again, so am I...

Gabriel looked at the house and smirked. "It's been quite sometime since I have seen one fashioned like this. You have good taste." He looked to his mistress as he said the last statement.

Gabriel smirked at the high praise. "I'm honored." He nodded in a slight bow.

Eva responded to his smirk with an arrogant toss of her head. "You should be, my dear Gabriel. My taste in everything is exacting."
She began towards the steps. Just then the door opened and a stately gentleman with white hair bowed politely.
"Wooster, will you see to my new toy," she said, not bothering to look behind her. "Place him in the Rossetti room I think. I have some business to attend to," and she entered the house.
The butler said in precise English, "If it would please to come this way, sir."

Gabriel walked up to the man with one raised eyebrow and nodded to him. "Lead the way." He then looked back to where his mistress had walked away to. Gabriel then returned his attention back to the butler.

(((Wooster led Gabriel through the elegant foyer and up the carved wooden staircase. There was a long hallway with several doors. He stopped at the farthest one.
"The Rossetti room, sir," he said solemnly and opened the door. "The Mistress bids you to make yourself comfortable.")))

Eva entered her study and softly closed the door behind her. Business before pleasure she thought. Besides, it would give her darling Gabriel time to refresh himself. He was going to be a very busy sub from now on.
She'd received a call from the bookstore, and though normally one of her employees could handle special orders, this customer was her personal favorite.
Eva reached for the antique gilded princess phone and dialed the number. It rang once, twice, then a deep baritone voice answered.
"Lord Sebastian, how nice to hear from you. And yes, I did locate that leather-bound edition of Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. It belonged to one of the Sackvilles, not certain which one, but would you believe that I found it at some thrift store?"

Gabriel looked around the room and found a chair. He walked slowly to it and sat down before taking in the decor.

Eva chatted with Lord Sebastian for a few minutes more, even going so far as to mention her newest acquisition to him, since Lord Sebastian had been a Master for several decades.
"Can you quite believe the luck," she bubbled gaily, "An incubus and a vampire. Training him is going to be an absolute pleasure, but I certainly do not plan to take the sting out of the scorpion's tail."

After she'd ended her phone call, Eva sat back in the leather wing chair and rang for tea. A round and fresh-faced young woman with short dark hair cut page-boy style stepped into the study.
"Ah Victoria, please set tea for myself and my guest in the library if you would."
Victoria bowed. "Yes madam. Cook told me to tell you that the fruit tarts are especially sweet today."
Eva grinned. "Well, I certainly would not like to disappoint Cook then. And a pot of Assam for the gentleman. I think I will have the Lady Londonderry."
"Very well madam," and Victoria bowed and retreated smartly out of the study.
Eva sat for a few minutes, gathering her thoughts and settling upon a course of action in regards to the lovely young thing upstairs. Gabriel was indeed a prize--a stallion amongst dray horses. Her goal with him was not to break that wonderfully fiery spirit, but to hone that power and the trust that came with it.
Course of action set, Eva rose and made her way to the library. She would have Victoria fetch him downstairs.

Gabriel inspected the current room he was in. He rose form the chair and made his way to the window. Looking out of it for a quick second before turning away from it and walking to a nearby table. His eyes caught sight ofthe famous Dracula novel lying behind the lamp and decided to read it. Gabriel slowly made his way back to the chair and sat in it while continuing to read. He had always loved Dracula, as outlandish as it made Vampires seem; it was actually what had drawn him to his current state of being.

Gabriel looked up to the girl and smiled. "Of course." As he stood up and put the book back to its original place his throat began to burn slightly, but he brushed it off. Hold together. He walked up to the girl. "Please, lead the way."

Eva closed her eyes and took another deep breath, taking in the scent of leather-bound volumes and ink as if a heady drug, which for her it was. Out of all of the rooms in the manse, the library was her perennial favorite and she actually spent more time here than in her own bedroom upstairs, hence the ornate day bed in the corner, facing the French windows and overlooking the rose garden.
Another scent assailed her delicate nostrils. Gabriel. His roses and vanilla scent had that undercurrent of hunger, just barely scratching the surface. The damn troglodytes who ran the slave market must have overlooked the poor boy's dietary necessities. It was a wonder he hadn't turned feral.
"Well, I can solve that little problem," she said to herself, reaching for an elegant Baccharat decanter filled with a rich, ruby liquid. Fresh blood from her private supply. He'd have to accept this first. Once he was suiitably trained, she'd allow him to feed from her wrist as a reward. She poured the blood into a delicate crystal goblet and waited to present it to him.
