 In the Lost Village, there are Four Shrines spread at each corner of the expanse of the village, where a season and its magics are worshiped. Many sacred scrolls and arts are kept here, and it is the Seasonal Priests who also help with the Blessing ceremony, which draws unborn spirits closer to them, so they can be born from the candles.
A seasonal priest is not so much a religious aspect of the village, but one who balances and protects some of the magics within. They can be caring and wise teachers, or fervent and skilled guardians of the arts.
Seasons:
-Spring, the season of rebirth and renewal. Many magics of this season involve healing, growth, and flora-based magics.
-Summer, the season of harmony and strength. Magics of this season are based upon fortitude, balance, and pacifying. Animal magics are also found here.
-Autumn, the season of harvest and change. This season offers magics based upon transformation and creation. Wind magics are also found here.
- Winter, the season of sleep and time. Magics of this season manipulate and alter the flow of time, to a certain degree, as well as ice magics.

Rules:
- Write a character bio in this thread to enter. It's good to be detailed, but no backstories. Try to go into who they are, without using so much of their past. :3 Use references if you can, but they aren't required. - An example of what could be in a character bio is what they do, how they do it, their dreams and aspirations, their talents etc.
- Make sure to include things such as..what are their strengths and weaknesses, what season you are aiming for, etc.
- Do not make these overpowered, try to be balanced. You can go back and change your post later, but make sure to make a notification in it somewhere noticable that it has been updated or changed.

~~ Spring Season Entry ~~ (Completed!!)
~Define & Fit~
My Definition of Spring: Triton himself has always viewed the beginning of spring as a slow struggle, when two elements clash and fight to take their place on the land. The winter season wishing to cling, and the spring for rebirth, an end to the cold. The new spring growth slowly pushing its way out from under winters melting grip, searching for sunlight through the cold cloudy haze. Then in an unsuspecting instant frantically bursting into color and life. The spring months spent rapidly, growing and blooming, all the plant and animal life working hard and fast to get their affairs in order before the lazy hot season of summer comes about.
How Triton Fits: Triton comes off as your average vagabond, with far too much free time on his hands, and never enough money in his pocket. Yet still always on the move, Triton for the most part doesnt spend his time lazing about...well unless its a really nice day..But still! He enjoys being active and out there, and while he'd rather not have to work, he wont scoff at doing it. After all a little hard work never hurt anyone?
~The Basics~ Name: Triton Cless Gender: Male Wick: Rice Wine Personality: Sarcastic, cynical, worldly, vain, a lover of all things free. A drinker of both grapes and grains. A charmer with a quirky sense of humor and a carefree attitude. Despite all that triton has a tendency to gripe and complain about all the little picky things that make his life uncomfortable. Triton is as good at listening as he is at speaking, and is always up for telling a good story, even if they aren't always true, tall tales are his specialty.Triton at times seems like a crooked priest, happily taking of and enjoying things that most others would think a bit shameful. He balances his lifestyle though, and more often then not tries very hard to keep on karma's good side, even with his little sins here and there. Loves: Drink, women, food, freedom! Gifts and handouts, monies. Specially the drink though... He also enjoys the warmer months, basically mid spring through autumn until it starts getting cold. He's very outdoorsy, and while he relishes getting to stay inside, he's more then happy to just camp out somewhere. Hates: Cold and Snow, cold food, certain meats, ants woodpeckers, annoying people. Demons, he fervently dislikes quite a majority of bad guys and monsters, not that he'll go out of his way to do anything about it, he'll just sit and complain. Beliefs: Open, strange, and devoted, he truly is in love with who he is and what he does. He's the type that lives with no regrets, but he also entertains no hope for the future. He lives in the moment, in the now of things. What happened yesterday or what may happen tomorrow rarely concerns him, and guilt is a completely foreign concept. While he might enjoy listening to other peoples problems, that doesn't mean he's going to be all eager and go getting to help them out. That'd take quite a big problem and a very good reason on their part.. Virtues: Loving, Friendly, A Soft touch, Fair and Objective. Flaws: Greedy, sharp tongued, whiny, a freeloader. Habits: Dozing off in sunny places, and Biting his nails. Doing a bit of wandering here and there. He loves to start collections, flowers, seeds, treasures. He keeps a book of dried flowers on him, and whenever he finds a new one he presses it and keeps it. He's often making little notes in it when he becomes bored. I fight with: Naturally he has his powers, but he also carry's a walking stick. I've always got!: He's always got his travel bag, and sake on him. Info Bits: Chances are he wont be very good friends with winter, its nothing personal, he just dislikes cold weather and all things associated with it.
~~Power Balance~~
Strengths: Earth, Light, Water -Earth, strong and all encompassing, from grains of sand to tall trees its everywhere. Naturally triton's strengths and abilitys are favored more towards plant life. All things that grow and need water and sunlight, more then rocks or ground or sand. -Light, Sun and warmth and healing, again not directly a power, but more something triton is dependent upon, and also greatly enjoy's. He'd be rather sad if there was no light in the world. -Water, the life giver,without water nothing would grow, nothing could survive. While triton has no control over water, he does work quite a bit with it, and can often be found saying little prayers for rainfall when he feels there's far to little of it about.
Weaknesses: Fire, Darkness, Ice -The spring is a time of rebirth and light, a time of awakening from the long winters sleep. Fire of course has always been a natural enemy of plant life. Burning and destructive, yet in some cases it is helpful and cleansing, taking away the old and leaving room for all things new. -Healing and warmth, forms of light energy, its natural enemy being the darkness. -Cold is also a natural enemy of plants, especially the ice and snow. Burying the new green in darkness, and killing with its frosty chill. (So basically, say in a fight, Triton will be automatically weaker to Fire, Darkness, and Ice. Whereas he will be naturally resistant to Earth, Light, and Water attacks. Not immune, but resistant.)
Powers: Healing: No fairy fru fru glowing touches or light sparkles here. Triton's 'healing' powers, actually stem from the special kind of sake he makes from the 'Blue Moon Lilly' and carry's with him at all times,Tritons Blue Moon Sake has a taste similar to Honjozo..The magical liquid has amazing curative and cleansing powers, and can either be drunk or poured onto a wound. It also does wonders for ones garden. Triton is also very good with medicinal herbs, and other healing plants, his ability to heal and help others coming directly from his work with the spring season, and knowledge of the plants around him.
Growth: Triton cant make full grown orchards spring up at his touch, or mountains shake and crumble, but he can do some pretty cool stuff. The quicker the plant grows, or the more flexible the plant is, the more he can do with it. He can cause seeds to sprout and grow rapidly, though if you want a tree your gonna have to wait a while. He can make flowers instantly bloom and mature trees bear fruit, can grow anything out of any kind of soil. He can manipulate,vines,weeds and flowers in his defense, as they are quick growing and flexible plants. He also has the ability to hide himself within the plants, like a special type of camouflage. He can blend in with trees and fields and flowers, and seem to vanish entirely.
Flowers: Petals, pollen, leaves..Flowers and Herbs more then any other plant are Tritons forte. He knows them, loves them, works with them. Petals can become daggers in his touch, pollen choking and blinding, bringing on sleep or disorientation. Vines constricting and piercing, roots that spring up and trip or snare.
Seeds: It may seem silly, but it is part of his gift. Triton keeps a wide collection of pressed flowers and seeds on him, though all he truly needs is one to start a field. From one seed he can create hundreds more and plant them as he pleases. Can bury a dead flower and from that grow a new living one.
Power Restrictions:
Growth: Triton cant grow things out of thin air, soil or earth must be present in order for him to utilize his powers. Growing things in sand or more viscus forms of soil is a frustrating and tricky task, and so it takes up more energy. He also cannot grow anything up through solid rock. He can manipulate hard woods, or trees (so long as they're not petrified) But it drains him terribly to do so. The younger the tree is the easier it is for him to work with it. Older trees tend to be stubborn and resistant to his ministrations. His power to grow is weakened in cold temperatures, and during the winter months it's nearly impossible for to control his element. He cannot grow things up through thick snow, or solid ice, unless it is thawing.
Camouflager:Triton can only pull off his 'vanishing act' if the plant's hes blending in with are still. If its to windy outside or pouring rain then he can be found, as his blending ability is not perfect. He also lacks the ability to hide if it is snowing out or if all the plants around him are dead.
Extra: Most of tritons magic is defensive and shielding with only a few attacks. His powers tailored to hide, nurture and protect. Triton is not violent by nature, and so if he can resolve something without drawing blood then he would rather do so.

Winter Season Entry (Entry finished and ready for judging)
Dear Diary... Name: K'aradhras Freyr (Kara for short)
Likes: Cold weather and blizzards; she truly loves it when the land is covered in snow. Kara enjoys taking longs walks in the middle of the night, just enjoying the peace and quiet. When winter has come she loves ice skating and starting snowball fights. After a nice walk or maybe a great snowball fight she likes relaxing with a bowl of cranberries and a glass of Frozen Grapes wine. Even though she likes peace and quiet Kara adores jingle bells and always carries a few of them adorning her hair or tied to her waist. (so they can jingle when she walks)
Dislikes: Summer; she absolutely LOATHS the season. The bright light, the hot weather …yuck. The heat makes her feel tired, grumpy and it gives her a headache. Springs warmth she can handle, but not summer long days and hot temperatures. Another thing that she cant stand are loud noises. A bit of chatter is of with her, but a room full of people talking too loudly will give her a migraine plus she hates crowded places.
Personality At first sight Kara appears to be quite cold and insensitive, just like the season she worships. However if given the chance she will warm up a bit and others could realize she is actually quite empathic but really doesn’t know how to show what she feels. To those who are close to her she is the motherly type and will make sure they are provided for. Towards the other priest’s she is polite and will help them if asked without thinking it twice. She doesn’t get along that great with the Summer Priest(ess) but it’s nothing personal really, she just feels a bit weary around him/her. Kara can be kinds and caring if given the chance however, just like her season, it is better not to make her angry. It’s really hard, almost impossible, to make her loose her temper but if you manage to make her snap… you better get the hell away from there unless you want to end up with a nasty frostbite or an ice arrow/blade pierced through your chest. It is said however that she warns once before exploding so you should have enough time to reconsider and either apologize or get the hell out of her reach
Flaws: At first Kara could be accused of being blunt, insensitive and cold but it’s all due to her not knowing how to express herself. Well…at least for the insensitive and cold part. Kara is actually pretty blunt and when asked she will answer with the truth without taking emotion into account
Virtues: Someone once said patience is a virtue….and Kara has it. Winter is a time to rest and take it easy; you will never see her doing anything rash, she always takes her time for thinking before acting. Why rush things if there is plenty of time? At first it could be hard to notice but it could be said that Kara’s other virtues are her empathy and understanding of others feelings, innocence and a strong sense of justice.
Extras: -Kara adores bonsai trees but is unable to have one because her frost would kill it. -She also loves candles. When taking a walk on a moonless night she will take a big candle with her to light the way, she doesn’t mind the molten wax dripping on her skin and is the only hot thing she doesnt hate. -She has a pet crow. -She always wears a sash she wove herself and a gypsy belt with crystal jingle bells tied to it. - K’aradhras was born mute

She is the youngest valkyrie from her clan and the only one who was born mute and without an elemental alignment to lighting, instead her alignment is to ice. She was looked down at because of this which lead to her becoming quite introvert. This one is a different outfit I sketched for her, the sketch on the right is a bell I would really like for her to have. I took the idea from this one
Do you believe in magic?
Alteration of time: No she cannot travel through time so don’t even ask. (Not that she hasn’t give it a try though) However she can manipulate the flow of time just enough so that she can make herself, something or somebody else move either faster or slower. It takes a great deal of concentration for her to do this ability and if abused it leaves her feeling disoriented. Ex. Let’s say you knock a vase from the table. Kara can focus on the vase and make it move slower so she has enough time to go over and catch it before it breaks. [ooc idea: Maybe she can help the spring priest to make things grow? From afar of course, or she could cover his/her fields with frost ^^;]
Ice magicks: as a priestess of winter she has a strong connection to it’s more representative image: Ice. Kara is able to manipulate ice and snow at will. She usually uses this ability to create pretty snow or ice figures, but if needed to she can create walls or weapons of ice to defend herself or others.
Time to sleep: The crystal bell Kara always carries is more than just a pretty accessory. By making it ring a few times those who hear it will start to feel very drowsy and at peace. If exposed to the ring long enough those who hear it will fall asleep immediately. (the longer you are exposed to it the longer you'll sleep)
Downside: Alteration of time: It takes a great deal of concentration and as stated above, if abused the ability leaves her feeling weak and disoriented. Ice Magick: To be able to manage ice without complications Kara’s body temperature is far below zero and unfortunately this leads to her being unable to touch others without causing them frostbite Time to sleep: For every person she puts to sleep an hour or so of her own sleep is taken away which means she is no stranger to insomnia and its implications.
Weak against: fire, water, light, Strong against: thunder, earth, wind

The Summer Season Priest I edited How he fit's into my summer, Added Weapon of Choice and Added to his text description and added a reference Picture
My Definition of Summer: - Summer is a time of fun,relaxation, unity, and peace. The Crops have been planted and they won't be harvested till the coming autumn. The sun is at it's peak in this season. The sun rules the sky and therefore is the dominate force of the season. The season calls for peace between brothers. The extreme heat is no condition to start a fight or war. One of the most extreme seasons time should be spent on friendly terms with loved one to make the best of the time. It is the time to run wild and free without a care. Food is still plentiful from spring and the waters are warm and full of good catchings. Under the baking heat of the sun on the hottest days all should gather and enjoy, friendly company. This time is necessary break between the hard working seasons. The harvesting months of Autumn will be tough and everyone must be on friendly and peaceful terms in order to successfully harvest all the crops that will be needed in the winter following Autumn. A since of Unity must be established to ensure that things flow smoothly between relationships that could become tattered if not strong enough to last the other seasons.
-The Hard Facts- Name: -Kaki Ichiwa --(Kaki for Short) Gender: -Male A sort of Bio: -Kaki Ichiwa is a people person. He loves the people and the people love him. Kaki is a hearty fellow with a jolly and young face. He appears to be trustworthy and kind. An outward appearance that is reflected inside. Kaki is know for his kind words and peaceful ways. Always the first to look for a win win situation. Kaki enjoys partying, and celebrating brotherly love. He is an activist for unity and equality. He will always be found at the center of a celebration if not floating about soothing ill tempers. Kaki sadly admits that where there is peace and Harmony there has to be a bad apple of discord and Chaos. Such is the balance of things and such is something he understands. Kaki desires to see the entire world at peace with one another, though it is a far reaching dream he believes that it can be achieved for a short time. Kaki is an excellent teacher and it one to teach int he ways of peace and harmony. He teaches to give all you can give and take nothing back. -Personality: -- Kaki is Kind, and caring. He is loving and loves everyone unconditionally no matter there size, shape, color, race, or personality. -Loves/Likes: --The Sun though the moon is not bad, he is a second best to the ruling sun. Peace and Harmony. Justice and laws. Lazy days by the beach. -Hates/Dislikes: --Discord and Chaos. He will do anything and everything in his power to change discord and Chaos to Peace and Harmony. Anarchy, there is no true balance with Anarchy. He is not fond of the cold. And detests Snow. Nothing is worse then being wet AND cold. -Core of Beliefs: --What is meant to be will be. With Light there is darkness and with darkness there is light. Everyone has the ability to allow peace to reign within them, they only have to allow themselves to be open to the healing powers of peace. It is up to the individual to see the light within and bring it forth... though it could stand that they had a slight push in the right direction. To be a peace with others you must first be a peace with yourself. -Motto: Live for everyday, Laugh all the time,and Love unconditionally.
How Kaki Ichima Fits into My summer: Kaki seeks to find a peaceful balance which is the focus of the summer month. He quiets anger within people to allow a friendly setting to begin establishing bonds of friendship and love. He enjoys having fun which is part of the relaxing aspect of summer to rest up for the up coming work. A quick zap to recharge the batteries so to speak.
Weapon of Choice: -Used only when there is no other choice but to fight or defend Kaki wears a necklace that has a magical Sickle pendent. When Removed it will grow to a larger size and be able to be used as a weapon (See Reference Picture below)

The Magics of Summer
Fortitude- mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously -- Kaki has a calming touch. His touch allows metal fatigue to slip away, it also give the recipient a small self-confidence boost that aids in courage.
Balance- mental steadiness or emotional stability; habit of calm behavior, judgment -- Kaki's presence causes extreme emotions to ebb and dull. Such powers allow one the ability to think rationally rather then Irrationally.
Pacify- to bring or restore to a state of peace or tranquillity; quiet; calm -- Kaki Ichiwa has a calm voice. His voice is like velvet upon the ears. It invokes a calm feeling within that causes all fears to vanish from thought.
Animal Magics- -- Kaki can speak with animal's and can even alter his form at times to take the shape of an animal.
The Repercussions Fortitude Magics -In response to his Magic used Kaki loses a small amount of his own courage. Equal to the amount of courage he gives away. As a result his own Self-confidence lowers. He must be very careful to how much he gives away because when he gives to much away be goes into a fit of Discord and Chaos. He loses all mental stability and acts very irrational.
Balance Magics -In response to his ebbing presence Kaki can only have such an effect upon a person who is not normally Extremely emotional. This power of his is also very fleeting lasting only the duration of his visit. If a rational decision is not made while he is still there anyone who was irrational prior to his visit will become instantly paranoid. Kaki has minimal control over this power because it is just oozing from his pores. And as a result most people when emotional will avoid Kaki.
Pacify Magics - In response those that can not hear will not be effected, those that choose not to listen will not be effected either. The recipient must desire to feel calm in order for Kaki's voice to have the calming effect. However for every fear that vanishes from the recipient and new one is born, it is random as to whither it is born within Kaki or the recipient. If born within the recipient the Fear can lay dormant for a Lifetime. It most often isn't dormant for so long, the fear can be born within an unborn child of the recipient be it male of female. The fear can be ten fold worse then the intial fear, to the point of a phobia. (A phobia is an illogical fear such as, the phobia of elevators, one with a phobia as such would never get in an elevator because they would say there is no floor. Even if someone is standing in the elevator) In which case the phobia could remain dormant till the recipient is confronted by something dealing with the phobia. When the fear is born within Kaki a small part of his magic dies, when it dies it does not chose which specific magic it effects. It chooses at random which one to diminish.
Animal Magic -In response Kaki when he shape shifts he is stuck in the form for at least a week, not able to change forms till after a week has gone by. In that time his other powers are dormant and unusable.

Text Descriptions -Kaki Has a head full of hair that is a little shaggy but not much. It is a rich forest green with highlights of brown, gold,red, and Blond He has young features and a friendly face and an open posture. He has a shimmering set of wings that glow from his back. (Any color is fine) He wears a Necklace (Brown Leather like string used as the "Chain") looped around his wrist left to dangle a bit with a sun pendent on it and a bracelet that has a pendent of the Libra scale's on it (With the same Brown leather like string). Then there is also his sickle necklace that is like a choker, tied snugly about his neck. As a Note: -The Brown leather like String would be roughly 2 cm's in width RL size. -The wings are tottaly Optional Pictures available: Face/Hair References: The Base color of the Hair and the style and facial expression

the Autumnal Priest
Of Autumn: Autumn is a preparatory period between summer and winter. It isn't exactly mild or exactly rough and has many faces according the time you choose to look upon it. In a sense autumn is much like spring in the aspect that it triggers change in people and in nature. However, where spring is a season of rebirth, autumn is a season of slow death, growing old and withering away as the weather turns colder. Autumn itself changes faces as mentioned before. It arrives dressed in crimson and orange and bright yellow but it slowly sheds its pleasant exterior provided to it by the retreating summer and turns to look much more like winter instead. The cloudy weather and rain of its later part instill a feeling of loneliness, melancholy and nostalgia, making one yearn for the past seasons and the time gone thus also becoming a perfect excuse for introspection, reflection and revision. Its association with death calls for festivals to honour the souls and spirits and one's ancestors. Besides that the season is also one for hard work as the illusion of time being plentiful during summer has faded and people realise that they have too many things to do still and winter is approaching fast. But autumn, however dull in comparison to its predecessors, isn't all that bad after all. The harvest, however tiring, is always rewarding and one needs to prepare for winter's harsh stillness after it has come to pass. For that, people gather and work together to achieve better results. Bonds between people that were nurtured through the early months are now becoming ripe and slowly begin to show their true faces, changing for the worse or simply developing as something much stronger, much like actual crops that grow in this season.
About Akio: Akio is a young male whose full name is Akio Kintoki -with Akio only being his family name- Translated his given name means 'golden soul', however he usually goes by as Akio or Aki for his relation to the season of autumn.
One of many faces: Akio is a rather quiet, lonely individual. He doesn't like associating with others a lot and takes a long time to adjust to people. While staying away from a lot of social interactions he can often be found daydreaming while gazing out of windows or sitting in clearings when he's not working. It's not like he finds other people to be a bother or hates socializing... it's more like he prefers his personal space and his thoughts to gatherings and conversations. He generally prefers actions to words and is a dedicated and efficient worker that can be found doing all sorts of odd-jobs helping out whoever needs his help with anything at any given time. Even so, he doesn't like being praised a lot as it makes him feel awkward. If someone wants to thank him, he kindly refuses saying he's only doing what he has to do.
Akio is kind and forgiving most of the time, shrugging most things off as nuisance and willing to overlook mistakes when he can. His anger is supposed to be terrible when invoked though, however hard he appears to be to anger. The few times he does get angry he comes off as a completely different person, harsh, cruel, insensitive and violent, vengeful and unforgiving, unlike the quiet person people are used to.
Akio himself doesn't treat his 'dark side' as a change to his original persona. He believes that in general people 'don't change' even though one might want them to. Nothing changes, not even nature, not even in autumn that everyone seems to title the season of changes. Everything grows and matures naturally but it doesn't 'change' fundamentally which means that it's just the same only showing a different face of it. Akio believes true change to be a miracle, hard to gain, possibly the highest form of perfection one can achieve, for 'to change' it means to face yourself, confront yourself and that's not the easiest thing to do, really... However he still yearns for it and wishes for other people to achieve it as well as he denies that he has the ability to do this just yet.
The things Akio enjoys the most are warm beverages on cold mornings, the sound of rain as well as taking walks in it and literature, both poetry and prose. He knows how to sew and knit and often makes clothes for others to give as gifts. He also likes gardening and cooking and might also be interested in learning proper flower arranging though he avoids most flowers due to them being fragile and easily destroyed in autumnal tempests. He is often described by others as to having the behavioural patterns and likings of 'an old man' even though he doesn't appear to be much more than a child.
Of powers, of weaknesses...:
Transformation: The act or an instance of transforming, the state of being transformed, a marked change, as in appearance or character, usually for the better.
Akio has the power to trigger the change in himself and others, even though he doesn't realise that or admits to that when brought face to face with it. Through himself, his words and his actions, all inspired by almost divine will, people change, showing their true self to themselves and to him as well, thus becoming the miracle Akio himself seeks but so stubbornly refuses each and every time.
Creation: The act of creating, the fact or state of having been created, the divine act by which, according to various religious and philosophical traditions, the world was brought into existence, an original product of human invention or artistic imagination
Akio was always inventive and loved making things from other things such as small devices to help with his everyday work or things to help resolve people's technical problems. He is very adept in using materials and things he makes are sturdy and hard to break as they are imbued with his magics the moment he makes them.
Wind: Moving air, especially a natural and perceptible movement of air parallel to or along the ground, a movement of air generated artificially, as by bellows or a fan.
Akio can whip up strong wind currents at whim, as well as control existing ones making him capable of changing the course of a storm or tornado for an instance.
-----Flight: The motion of an object in or through a medium, especially through the earth's atmosphere or through space, an instance of such motion, the distance covered in such motion, the act or process of flying through the air by means of wings, the ability to fly.
While it isn't considered an actual power, Akio believes that it's the most wonderful thing he can do with the powers he has been given. Making strong, large kites using his ability of Creation and manipulating air currents to stay afloat, he can travel great distances, staying above ground, thus avoiding obstacles and getting tired by walking.
The downside...
Both his ability to trigger Change and Create require additional elements not found everywhere and at any given time and take time to start influencing anything, making preparation beforehand a crucial part of the whole concept as he can't make anything occur spontaneously in regards to them.
As for Wind, his mere association with it makes him extremely sensitive to lightning and thunder magics adding up to create a severe phobia of lightning storms as well. He also needs to stay perfectly focused when invoking his power -not during its overall control however- as the slightest mistake can cause either nothing to happen or yield unpleasant, too powerful to be good results.
Akio and Autumn: Akio's personality reflects in autumn and its changes. The serious personality overtones, misfitting and misleading appearance and overall hobbies stem from the various aspects of autumn as well. As autumn is a season of preparation, he too needs to prepare his powers beforehand to be able to use them and in the same way that autumn brings maturity and growth in nature he does so with helping people mature and achieve personal growth as well.
Reflections: My image of Akio is that of a young boy in his early half of teens -however he has wise eyes that don't fit him very well-. I'll leave his overall interpretation to the artist however, I'd love to see him carrying one of his bird-like kites in any case.

Iron will also applies to manipulation or coercion: Tsori will not be affected by either, or if she is, the effects will be greatly reduced. Purify: Tsori returns balance and purifies objects, people, land, etc... to its original state. For smaller objects she’ll use smoke, perhaps, but for larger places she may enlist the help of others to perform much more elaborate rituals. Converse with animals: More or less self-explanatory. She will dress herself and put a bowl of water out to warm in the light during the day. If she has students or guests, they are expected to wake at dawn and join Tsori for a light breakfast. Then they are expected, equally, to participate in either walking meditation or sitting meditation before lunch, preferably both. Once lunch is finished, Tsori takes the bowl of sun-heated water and bathes herself with it in private. Tsori will see to any petitions or requests, she will deal in commerce or accept messages, and conduct any duty-related business once she is finished, typically when the sun is at its brightest. ==Winter Priest== Name: Lael Gelid Gender: Male Season: Winter Personality: Lael is quite social and loves spending time with others. He was a traveling minstrel prior to becoming the priest of winter, and though his newfound duties have forced him to settle in one place, he still enjoys going on walks out in the snow from time to time. Others cannot often follow him out in winter weather, since he is immune to cold exposure, though, so he also takes lots of time to remain in the village crafting paper snowflakes during his season, and generally spending time with his people other times of year. He is calm and kind and patient, particularly with children, to the point that those who do not know Lael well may paradoxically accuse him of being insincere. Though he meets even those who would doubt and insult him with the same polite and gentle attitude as anyone else, however, Lael is finding that, over the years, his heart is growing colder and, while it is in his mortal nature to care for others, it feels more like a duty every winter, and less like something he does out of the kindness of his heart. This may be in part due to his mounting tiredness that he cannot alleviate because he cannot get any deeper into sleep than dreams, however he still feels that his burden to bear as priest of winter is his alone, and he carries out all his rites and casts his magics without complaint - because if he was not the priest of winter, who would be? He knows winter to be a season of sleep and death, when the world dies off in order to be reborn in the spring. Lael does not wish it to be anything frightening, though - after all, people already tend to gather in groups and take shelter against the cold, so it is also a time of community. The aspect of time is, to the former minstrel and story-teller, a reflection on tales past and application of those lessons in times to come. His magic aside, he loves hearing or sharing a good story inside and away from the cold with others just as much as he enjoys wandering alone. Lael became a bard originally to collect as much experience as he possibly could, and now that he is the Priest of Winter, with duties tied to a specific time and place, he still believes that he can collect tales around the fire. Moreover, his ability to travel in the cold unhindered and his spell to create shelter for others allows him to seek out and rescue other travelers who get lost in the snows. His work is still touched by death and sleep, though, and he hates to see anything suffer. Lael uses his sleep magic to ease the pain of those beyond his help - he cannot heal mortal wounds, but he can aid those passing on. Though he is a social and extroverted person, his sense of mercy and kindness extends to animals, as well. Loves: flying kites; white noise like waterfalls; making folded or cut paper crafts; group gatherings, especially if there is food; picnics Dislikes: competitive team sports; listening to arguments; being alone for too long; sitting too close to the fire; spicy food --- Magics:Sleep touch - Winter is a time not just of sleep, but of restful sleep - sleep untroubled by dreams. The whole world falls quiet and rests, often becoming completely dormant, or slipping away into death, to recover in preparation for rebirth in spring. Lael can use the power of winter hibernation to put those he touches into deep sleep. Those affected fall directly into slow-wave sleep without dreaming, and can be awakened with no more difficulty than it would ordinarily take to rouse someone deeply asleep. It takes several seconds for this spell to take effect when Lael touches someone, and so it can be prevented by breaking contact. Dreamwalker - Lael can visit the dreams of others while he is sleeping, but he gains no rest himself while using this ability. If he spends all night doing this, he awakens essentially without having slept at all, and so he cannot use it very often or for very long without it taking a toll on him. Dreams also exist outside of the normal flow of time, and so Lael can take advantage of this to have lengthy conversations with those sleeping over a very short period of waking time. Alternatively, he can also attempt to utilize this ability to Oracle - The year traditionally changes over during the winter, and it is a time for reflection on the past and plans for the future. The High Priest of Winter possesses the ability to see into the past and the future through the icy stone of his staff. Using this ability, he can alter the flow of time through the information he gains; Lael cannot change past events, but knowledge of them can change future actions, and, similarly, he can also attempt to prevent the futures he sees. Scrying takes time and concentration, and so Lael cannot utilize this ability during battle. His visions also come with the caveat that he can only tell others of what he sees while visiting them in dreams. Since he can only force someone into dreamless sleep, in order to communicate, his target must fall asleep naturally. If he attempts to convey his visions to others in the waking world, the information slips from his mind like a dream, and he risks irretreivably forgetting it. Freeze water - Lael can create an aura of cold around himself to freeze small droplets of water in the air around him, or he can touch a source of water such as a full bowl or a pond in order to freeze that. He can also control the ice he creates, moving or reshaping it at will, but this takes concentration, especially in battle. Lael's ice will remain frozen as long as it is cold enough, but he cannot thaw it, and he cannot create ice if he does not have water available. Ice and snow already frozen can be captured and bent to his will as well, making him quite powerful during the winter, but again, he cannot summon ice from nothing. Create shelter - Though he does not need it, himself, Lael can construct igloos magically for those who are susceptable to cold exposure. It takes him about five minutes of channeling to build one, and he must have snow handy, but when complete, the igloo can house three people comfortably, or up to five if they do not mind a bit of crowding. Body heat will warm the place up, with no help from Lael, but the summoned shelter will keep all bad weather out. It will remain until it melts, but Lael can turn the snow back into powder to dismantle the igloo if he wishes. --- Strengths: Resistant to cold exposure - The spirit of winter protects its chosen high priest, protecting Lael from all but the very coldest weather. He can walk on the surface of snow only leaving faint footprints, and can travel out in winter chill and wind without suffering frostbite or other ill effects of cold exposure. He appears to have died of cold already, though, his skin white and lips and fingernails pale blue, but remains very much alive. --- Weaknesses: Thrives only in cold - Warmth or too much warm weather bothers Lael. Sunlight is not exactly his kryptonite, but Lael gets uncomfortable if he spends too much time outdoors in direct sun, especially that of summer. He is willing to go out and about in weather up to about 15°C, but when it is warmer than that, Lael hides out in cool underground places, away from the light. Prolonged spells of hot weather, such as summer heat waves, make him physically ill, as does spending time too close to a fire. Sleepless - Though he can send others to dreamless sleep, Lael is unable to sleep that deeply, himself. He dreams constantly, getting enough rest to sustain him, but he lacks the level of energy of normal constellations, and tends to tire quickly. He is also a very light sleeper and is easily awakened. --- Appearance: Hair from here, #242 (second row, on the far right) I doodled up a sketch of one possibility for him, but you are welcome to take artistic license with it. I love Asian-inspired styles, layers, and asymmetry 8D~ I was inspired by some of the NPC clothing from Guild Wars Factions and Nightfall: 1 | 2 | 3 (mostly the female designs =3= ) | 4 (possible clothing patterns?) I picked out these colors, because I wanted deviate somewhat from a predominantly white outfit for Winter, but feel free to add in more white if there is not enough. Lael also carries a staff, which resembles this one from World of Warcraft, except it is blue, purple, white, and silver.

Appearance: I honestly just drew and drew and couldn't come up with a design that clicked. I'm sorry, Omie, but I'm going to have to ask that you help me out here. ;_; I dunno, everything I drew just didn't scream WINTER YEAH so I just... stopped. You're better at coming up with designs than I am, though, so you'd end up doing a better job than me, anyway. orz I can offer a couple suggestions, though.
It'd be nice if he didn't resemble the other ice constellations too closely. I understand that Aeos is one, and there are probably others (my brain has been dead all March. maybe it'll come back to life in April.), which seem to be predominantly whites/blues. I guess I would say, go for the other aspects of winter, without making him too much winter-y? Like, Huyu is his own person, not just "that guy who chills in his house and keeps some balance in this town." D-does any of this make sense. orz
『 Personality 』

Virtues: Confident, calm, respectable, honorable, serious, humble, driven, "intellectual giant" Flaws: Distant, secretive, unyielding, whimsical, sensitive, somber, harsh, lacking in true direction, two-faced
Beliefs:
Religion: Lacking any true religion, Huyu simply follows whatever path he chooses. He has a difficult time believing in anything when he knows there are those who likely worship him; while the idea secretly pleases him, as it would assure that he would be remembered long after his passing, it also horrifies him when he considers the influence he could have on others, intentional or not. Therefore, he only tries to offer advice to others and, possibly, heal their inner and outer pains to the best of his ability, all the while hoping he doesn't lead anyone astray.
Personal Duty: It is Huyu's belief that he has been chosen to become the High Priest of Winter for a reason; what that reason is, exactly, is still unclear to him. What he does know is that he has taken on this responsibility, and so does not hesitate to put forth the effort to fulfill his duties. He views it as more than simply a "job," but rather, a path to self-discovery. He looks down on those who take their duties lightly. Aspirations:
Seeking Answers: A life of ignorance doesn't suit one of Huyu's ambition at all. He wishes to always stride forward, soaking in everything he can, having long-ago become determined to acknowledge all that there is to know, good and bad. His pursuit of knowledge has brought him to a point of developing a calm, undemanding attitude. He will gladly stop what he's doing to listen to someone else talk, politeness masking whatever true feelings he may have on the subject. Anything in the name of learning.
To Aid, Protect, Find a Purpose: Huyu has always been, as he puts it, walking on a wire. He has yet to find his place in the world, having chosen to become the priest of winter in hopes of doing so. A selfish life had led him nowhere, and now, he seeks to find purpose in others. He busies himself with tireless work, often to the point of exhaustion. However, it is in this that he questions the irony of his decisions: is it better to work to the point of becoming steadily unaware of one's own troubles, or to avoid work to focus on oneself? This is just one of many questions he has yet to find an answer to. Winter in Huyu's Eyes: Huyu interprets winter as being fleeting, mortal; he knows ice and snow will melt, and spring will always push through, covering his work in an explosion of colors and all but erasing it from the minds of the villagers until it rolls around again. He will not hesitate to voice that this bothers him, as he, despite his best efforts, has come to take it as a personal offense. Winter is viewed as one of the harshest, most unforgiving seasons, and many loathe its coming. Huyu tends to compare himself to this season, seeing it as two sides of himself: the face he reserves for those in need, and his own, private face, the one few have seen. When it boils down to it, people will obviously prefer the kinder face, always turning their own to face the coming spring, away from winter. He understands this, and feels his desire to influence such an opinion will eventually be his undoing.
Hobbies & Talents: Rotenburo: An outdoor hotspring. Huyu has his own, stationed outside of his home, which he takes immense joy in bathing in. He is willing to share the onsen, but only when he is present in it; however, this rule does not apply to the local Japanese Macaques, who are free to use it whenever they like. As if he could stop them, even if he wanted to.
Painting: Think something along these lines. Huyu isn't very passionate about his paintings, but he will take the time, when he has nothing else to do, to sit and paint/sketch what he sees, as well as write his own thoughts down about it. He keeps them in an old, weathered book, which he has owned for years. The fact that he still has yet to fill it up is proof enough of how lazy he is about doing it.
Pondering, pondering: One of Huyu's favorite pastimes happens to be one he is constantly doing: thinking. Thinking about everything, thinking about nothing. When left to his own devices for too long, he'll begin to contemplate, the focus of his pondering ranging from what he had for breakfast to the complexities of a passing life's destination. Despite the fact that he receives ten more questions to every answer, he doesn't let that deter him in his quest for knowledge, nor from simply enjoying the exciting, rewarding life of the Intellectual.
Go: More likely than not, he will kick your a** at this game. Huyu has spent countless hours sitting in front of a Go board, and has walked away the victor the majority of those times. The game may appear simple, but is actually a tactical one that requires a talent for strategy and heavy-thinking, a challenge Huyu gladly took up. He has found that his competitors are growing to be less and less, but still continues the practice, even if it's alone. Practice makes something-slightly-close-to-the-thought-of perfect, after all. Short Description of Personality: Huyu will not hesitate to use his mind to bring you to your knees. His strengths lie not only in years of practiced magic, but also in his wit and intelligence, which he has also spent many years cultivating and nurturing. He takes great pride in being able to back up his confidence in his own brains with his ability, something he can't say so much for in his magic. He never boasts, however, aside from the occasional, playful slip.
While he may put on a kind, impartial face toward those who earnestly seek his aid and guidance, there is another side to Huyu that few have had the misfortune of meeting. This side is whimsical, deprived, hungry for answers and frustrated with his lack of them. This side shows true "human" nature, the frustration of failure that is so often covered with a distant, secretive smile. The storming days of winter, he likes to refer to the days he falls into such a mood as; and also the half of his personality he tries so desperately to hide from those around him, lest he be met with rejection, tossed aside and forgotten in favor of someone truer.

Oftentimes, he'll bring an umbrella with him when the weather is bad; however, he's rarely seen using it, leading some to question whether he actually likes the feeling of fist-sized hail pelting his skin, or if he just forgets he has it. 『 Power Balance 』
Abilities: Magic
Ice: Huyu's manipulation of ice is his strongest form of magic. He can create ice from sheer willpower, or he can pull moisture from the air to aid in the process. The amount of ice he can generate depends on his amount of energy at the time. If he's already worn out, the chances of him creating anything are very low. He typically uses his ice magic to force ice to extend off of his body, such as his fingertips. However, if he concentrates enough, he can make it grow from elsewhere.
Sleep: In winter, animals hibernate to last through the harsh, unforgiving months, awaiting spring; following in that idea, Huyu may use his magic to force someone to fall into a deep slumber, although he doesn't have the ability to make their sleep last longer than a few hours. He doesn't abuse this power by any means, although the temptation is certainly there. The unique property of Huyu's magic, concerning sleep, is that, once put into their slumber, the person's conscience is uplifted - something that may have been plaguing them, depending on the complexity, is more than likely going to be healed.
Time: Huyu cannot control the flow of time in a dramatic way; rather, his control over it is very limited, and not something that can be exercised often without wearing him out. Because time is a constant thing, the very process of altering it drains him significantly, and is something he reserves for only the most drastic measures. His power allows him to shift time within his "realm" - i.e., where he, as the High Priest of Winter, resides within the village - by regaining a few lost minutes. That is the limit of his control over time; incredibly limited, yet it allows him to relive, at the most, ten minutes thus far of time that has just passed. Once his regained time is up, it returns to normal, and the shift becomes unnoticeable to those who lack significant magical prowess. Strengths:
One: As is expected, Huyu's magic is strongest when he is in his "element," meaning when the season is winter, and it's... cold. Winter strengthens him, while Summer weakens him. Things as fickle as the weather also affect his magic, meaning it can either be much stronger than usual rather suddenly, or weakened a great deal just as quickly. He has been training for years to better control his magic during different types of weather, so as not to fall victim to it; likewise, he has been practicing amplifying his magic in the right weather and season. Weaknesses:
One: His magic capability is split to involve three different types of magic; because of that, he has yet to become exceptional in any of them, save for ice (which, as winter, he has the innate ability for), choosing to attempt to master them all at once. He knew the repercussions of such an approach before he began, but he prefers to know each type a little, than one type very well and the others not at all. Two: His magic can be very draining on his energy; more often than not, it can also have drawbacks when he uses it. For example, should he use his "sleep" magic too much, he may fall into slumber for an indeterminate amount of time. Or, if he used his ice magic too much, it might begin to affect him as well, i.e., ice might begin to crawl up his own arm instead of outward, toward his target.

:: Spring Priest ::✿Name: Fu ✿Origin: Chinese (means ‘Lotus’) ✿Gender: Male ✿Wick: Spring
✿My Definition of Spring: Spring to me is a season where everything is still ‘waking up’ and is calm and slow. Where I’m from it's hard to tell it's Spring, since it always either rains and is cold, or is unbearably hot. But there’s usually always that break between the two extremes for at least a couple days that’s mellow and, practically, a breath of fresh air. Like a calm before a storm. It’s a time, I think, when everything is trying to happen; good weather, flowers blooming, animals doing the horizontal tango, but isn’t in any hurry to do it.
✿Personality: Incredibly laid-back, peaceful, observant, open and considerably unlucky, but that last bit is more than likely a result of his too laid-back behavior. Fu is open to many new ideas and experiences; however, he runs on ‘Fu Time’, and therefore likes to try these new things at his leisure. He still has to make time for things he’s used to doing, after all. He’s never quick to say that he dislikes something until he’s given it plenty of opportunity, and even if he does end up disliking it, he’ll make sure that something knows that he loves it just the same, and no hard feelings.
✿Likes: The cold (in moderation), breezes, the smell of freshly cut grass, colorful flowers in full bloom. Fu takes pleasure in almost any aspect of life. ✿Dislikes: Harsh winds, violence, and excess rain, or anything that he’s never experienced before that turns out to be painful or unpleasant. Since Fu likes to take things in stride, he doesn’t like being rushed either. Either things run on his time or they don’t run at all, and he’s going back to bed. ✿Hobbies: Reading, growing various kinds of plants, wandering around new and unexplored places, and meditating.
✿Beliefs: Everyone has an importance, a beauty, and a use in the world. No matter what it is that person or thing happens to do, they are valuable. Fu doesn't look down on anyone, or see himself as being better, and he applies that to everything. Every problem should be approached calmly and openly, and discerned carefully without overreaction, or without force. Simply put, Fu is a hippy.
✿Virtues: Accepting, Generous, Helpful, Gentle.
✿Flaws: Extremely Lazy, Against Violence (by any means), Selfish.
✿Extras That Fit Nowhere In Particular: With Fu’s personality, he would probably try to get along with everyone well, regardless of if he didn’t truly like them or not due to his laid-back nature. His personality would also probably come off as inviting or irritating, depending on the patience of whoever he was dealing with. ‘Fu Time’ is usually two hours too late, mentally. So though he would get along with them, chances are the feelings aren’t reciprocated. Fu is also extremely against any means of violence, he refuses to fight and does not tolerate fighting in the slightest. It comes as a downfall, seeing as it also applies to defending himself and/or others, but there is no circumstance where he himself believes violence to be the answer.
✿Strengths: - Earth, sun, and rainy weather: Because Fu is so attuned to plants, he works well in the same kind of environments they do. In earthy environments where life is abundant, he feels most comfortable, because he knows where things are and what to do with them.
✿Weaknesses: - The dark, the cold, and the heat: Fu likes these things in moderation, but too much of them only seem to do more harm than help. Nothing can grow in these kinds of conditions, so Fu feels disoriented and lost (more so than usual) when exposed to that kind of environment. It also makes it hard for him to regenerate his own strength in these uncomfortable conditions.
✿Powers/Abilities: - Medication: Fu knows quite a bit about herbs and plants, and what they can do to and for you. He should, anyway, since Spring is all about ‘healing’. He’d be able to mix up one mean concoction that could really do your body good (or kill you).
- Regeneration: Spring is about 'regeneration' as much as it is about 'healing', so naturally when Fu is injured, he'll be able to heal a little faster than others might. However, how quickly he does manage to heal all depends on his environment. If he's among his own element, it's easy, but if he's somewhere cold, dark, and damp, it might take a long time for him to be back to full strength (if not only because he'll be grumpy and complain so much there wouldn't be any time for his body to heal). It takes quite a bit of effort and focus for him to regenerate completely, as well, which can be exhausting (then again, just putting out the effort at all could probably be considered exhausting to Fu).
- Plants: Obviously he's good with plants, his docile and nurturing nature is exactly what makes the flowers spring out of the ground, bright and new. As long as Fu is calm, so is the nature around him, but if Fu loses his temper he also loses control of that 'calm', which will result in the plants around him growing and acting in a more hostile way. It's a constant struggle within himself to try and remain calm and unfazed by things so that he can avoid causing harm.
✿Design: My main motivation was 'hippy', since that whole calm, style, and one-with-the universe-ness seems to fit what I tried to express for Fu and Spring (plus, 'flower-child', d'ya get it, ha ha ha /lamejoke). Artistic liberties are encouraged, since everything I've ever drawn in my life is crap, and way girlier looking than I had wanted it to look, but I like to give visual examples: All my doodles plus the images that stuck out the most in what I had in mind for his overall design.

Personality : 45% Optimistic | 10% Vague| 25% Devious | 15% Suggestive | 5% Hotheaded
xxxxxxxxOptimistic – No matter what the situation, good or bad, Sable can wear a smile on his face. It’s as though the xxxxxxxxworld can’t affect him, or, perhaps, it’s him who affects it. He’s certainly slightly self-absorbed in a way, but not xxxxxxxxobviously. In any case, the Constellation is quite charming, and rarely goes out of line as to curse anyone. So xxxxxxxxperhaps, he’s kind, nice, and occasionally gentle.
xxxxxxxxVague – The priest occasionally can throw out obscure comments that can either help or hinder. He enjoys xxxxxxxxplaying games, or at least watch people struggle to decipher any cryptic advice he gives. It makes him either a xxxxxxxxgood teacher or bad one, but he detests those who lack intelligence and can’t think for themselves.
xxxxxxxxDevious – Sable is perhaps more than a little mischievous, but his pranks normally don’t harm anyone! Then xxxxxxxxagain, it’s pretty hard to track the culprit down to him anyway, so no one really knows if that’s true or not. Still xxxxxxxxthough, he’s the person you’d want to watch out for and not get on the wrong side of.
xxxxxxxxSuggestive – The priest is rather a flirtatious soul and enjoys making passing comments that may either charm xxxxxxxxsomeone’s pants off or amuse them greatly. Either way, Sable’s persona seems to gravitate between both while xxxxxxxx‘being a nuisance’ isn’t too far off.
xxxxxxxxHotheaded – Anger, as rarely shown, is an aspect of Sable that should not be seen. Dangerous and xxxxxxxxunthinking, the priest’s ire can flare out in many different ways, whether it be throwing a mere tantrum or literally xxxxxxxxhaving a brawl in the middle of the streets. When he’s being a temperamental a**, all logic and morals seem to fly xxxxxxxxout of his head. However, as said, this is a rarely seen trait of his, and requires quite a lot to draw out. He cools off xxxxxxxxpretty easily after a while.
Likes : Lazing | Giving Advice | Plays/Shows | Offerings
xxxxxxxxLazing – Sadly, despite being in such a high position, Sable is also the type to not want to get his job done. xxxxxxxxLike summer, heat comes in and work becomes much of a chore. When he doesn’t feel like he wants to do work, xxxxxxxxthe High Priest procrastinates with as much he can get away with, occasionally even shirking it on to another poor xxxxxxxxsoul. When he does do it though, he tends to do it so spectacularly that it sometimes amazes people who know his xxxxxxxxtendencies.
xxxxxxxxGiving Advice – As vague as they are, Sable does love giving out bits and pieces of information enough to get xxxxxxxxsomeone going. Sable’s intelligent, and he enjoys watching people figure things out for themselves.
xxxxxxxxPerformances – There are many things that he likes, but the performances of others is something he xxxxxxxxparticularly enjoys. The street performances are also one of his particular favorites to attend, so most people can xxxxxxxxfind him enjoying the fiery acts of Fire Constellations or beautiful works of art the Ice Constellations create.
xxxxxxxxOfferings – Isn’t this greedy? Perhaps, but it’s what makes the temple requires to run on. So it makes the xxxxxxxxworld go round, yeah?
Beliefs : Beliefs? He believes that the world should really slow down and enjoy themselves in whatever they xxxxxxxxpersonally chose. He dislikes very much when someone comes to him in search of answers in the strictest of xxxxxxxxmanners for some obscure lord or lady. What answers can he give when all they seek is a singular goal but xxxxxxxxnothing beyond that? Were they really thinking for themselves?
Dislikes : Idiots | Wars | Unnecessary Questions | Irritants!
xxxxxxxxIdiots – He hates people who aren’t semi-decent conversationalists or can’t understand the process of xxxxxxxxriddles. As someone who ‘teaches’ by giving out vague ideas, having to be asked, “what do you mean?” xxxxxxxxis likely one of the things that irritate Sable to no end. Of course, he won’t show it.
xxxxxxxxWars – Are they really necessary? It seems they only result from silly territory wars or power struggles. He xxxxxxxxparticularly dislikes the current situation, which is not exactly a war, but possibly a reason for someone to initiate xxxxxxxxsomething of the sort.
xxxxxxxxUnnecessary Questions & Irritants – Basically the same thing as idiots; they get on his nerves!

xxxxxxxxAnimal Magic – A hardly used magic, considering how much moonfolk prefer the simplicity and unlimited xxxxxxxxcreativity of the elements. Animal magic is very physical, changing even the body and a little of the body. It xxxxxxxxchannels both the animal in spirit and blood, giving the user increased dosages of certain aspects that the animal xxxxxxxxin particular is strong at and weak at. For example, with a mere house cat, there may be an increase in reaction, xxxxxxxxspeed, but the user would be vulnerable to the desires of the feline and dislike water. Too long a usage would xxxxxxxxresult in falling prey to the animal spirit and difficulties in pulling out. Only one animal can be channeled at one xxxxxxxxtime. It also allows him to speak that particular animal’s ‘tongue’, but he tends not to use it because it makes him xxxxxxxxseem quite insane.
xxxxxxxxPacifying - Normally, this is a passive skill that is always “on”. Sable radiates an unnatural ‘calm’ that almost xxxxxxxxseems contagious. Of course, this is somewhat influenced by magic and thus coming within several feet would xxxxxxxxmake anyone feel either at ease or calmed when feeling high amount of emotion.
xxxxxxxxStrengthening Magic – A smaller chunk of Sable’s magic is used for helping people or himself. He’s never xxxxxxxxbeen the type to go head on into a fight with attempting to strengthen his body. It’s somewhat strange, as if used xxxxxxxxon another person, his own powers are quite sapped and thus rendering himself pretty useless to fighting. xxxxxxxxHowever, usage on himself allows him to control the amount of ‘power’ used. He can punch through a wall if he so xxxxxxxxchooses, especially when he uses it with the animal magic, though only for a short period of time.
xxxxxxxxSummer Magic – As he’s a summer priest, he’s bound to have devoted a large chunk of magic to keeping the xxxxxxxx‘balance’ that is required of himself.
Strengths & Weaknesses : Sable is charming enough to sweet-talk his way deviously out of situations. He rather xxxxxxxxdislikes physical fighting for the most part, so it’s not surprising that he tries to avoid confrontations to the best of xxxxxxxxhis ability. Without his magic, he’s quite normal strength, as he’s never really trained in fighting techniques and the xxxxxxxxlike. Likewise, even with his magic, most of his fighting style is very… instinctive of how the animal spirit tends to xxxxxxxxfight. He also tends to feel rather unbalanced when going against his nature, so when the winter season comes xxxxxxxxalong, he’s pretty sleepy and drained. He’s also somewhat of a narcissist. He has certain thoughts that he thinks xxxxxxxxeveryone should at least… somewhat abide by. It’s hard for Sable to understand someone’s mind-frame and it xxxxxxxxbecomes a task to either change the other person’s mind or understand it, which is near impossible and thus xxxxxxxxcomes back in a full-circle.
Appearances : Artist is given artistic freedom; though he does smoke a long pipe and he’s like… very self-secure, but xxxxxxxxmysterious cat or as one would normally portray kitsune.

The Basics~

----------Winter and It's Guardian || Étaín sees winter as a time of solitude, an opportunity for renewal and the rebuilding of strength. Nature withdraws into herself: after having shared her bounty during autumn and needs to sleep and recuperate before she can sustain the arrival of spring. The conditions are not ideal and without strength and preparation, it is difficult to survive the cold times. Étaín respects strength of both the body and will, and she is frustrated and somewhat confused when other spiritkind whine and complain about the harshness of the season. They simply need to plan better and grow stronger. As a child, Étaín would have admitted winter was not her season of choice; but she has grown to see the wild and majestic beauty of the cold season and she dismisses those who are too close-minded to discover that for themselves.
Personality~
Étaín would probably be described by those who encounter her as cold, detached, or remote. She would tell you that she is fair, disciplined, and pragmatic... she would also be thrilled to hear that people find her intimidating. She dislikes the company of others, but is entranced by the various make-up of spirit-kind. She studies them in the way she'd study a brilliant new color; something utterly fascinating but out of the realm of her understanding. She has developed a coldly polite, but oddly pleasant façade for when she needs to deal with social interaction. As she is happiest wielding her strengths, she gracefully sees to petitioners seeking help---revelling in being able to show off her abilities; but she will not suffer fools. The lady of winter is clever, but she will not match wits with anyone unless she is certain she can win. If she is not winning, the one who is quickly finds they are experiencing a frigid glare or shoulder.
----------Virtues || o dedicated :: Étaín takes her commitments very seriously. She was taught to always keep her word and is exceedingly careful to only give her word when she is certain she can do so. o powerful :: Étaín has power, and she is not ashamed to share this fact. She is comfortable in her abilities and makes use of them to help others; no matter how little she likes dealing with them . o confident :: Above all else, Étaín knows she can rely on herself. It gives her strength and that is why she likes to see this quality cultivated in others.
----------Flaws || o ambitious :: Étaín seeks to better herself, to gain even more power and control that she has little issue with using to her own gain. o poor player :: Or poor loser, if that is clearer... Étaín plays to win and usually only plays if she knows she can win. o distrustful :: Trust is not something that comes easily to Étaín. There are various reasons for this, none of which she will share with you. The warmest regard you can generally win from her is her respect.
----------Likes || o music :: Probably Étaín's favorite thing in existence. She is quite musical herself, but would die [of embarrassment] before letting anyone witness that. She sings once in a while when she knows she is alone and always carries a small pipe or ocarina in her pocket. o colors :: As the priestess of a dull season, [where colors are concerned] bright, bold jewel tones fascinate Étaín. She has a very secret, very passionate love affair with brilliantly colored clothes and baubles. Or she thinks it is secret anyways... hard to keep a secret like that! o knowledge :: Knowledge tends to translate eventually to power. Étaín likes power and knowing how to use it makes having it even sweeter.
----------Dislikes || o crowds :: A combination of cacophonous noise and a tight press of other 'Lore is a recipe for a very UNhappy Étaín. Chaos is the antithesis of the discipline and order Étaín prefers, crowds tend to be an embodiment of chaos. The lady of winter makes an effort to stay far, FAR away. o skepticism :: Questioning the actions of this Constellation is most likely not the smartest thing one can do. So far, Etain has not killed anyone... but it is entirely possible she has it in her to do so. When questioned, she will typically ignore the skeptic and continue on her way ...if they're lucky, that is. o extreme cold :: Étaín did not start her existence as an ice elemental, so the magic of ice is, in a way, unnatural to her. She is NOT immune to the cold; and while she has some protection against cold temperatures, it is not as much as one would expect from a more traditional ice elemental.
----------Étaín's Quirks || o She had a pet rock as a child; a clear, shiny stone she found in a stream with her mother. It is still kept on her person at all times. o She absolutely despises it if anyone enters her home without wiping their feet. o She is terrified of rabbits. Something about blank stares and twitching noses... though, they make excellent trim. o She does not drink. She cannot handle alcohol well and refuses to let this weakness be known.
Appearance~
I was trying to avoid the ice elemental look, since I have plans with her backstory with don't involve copious amounts of ice. She manipulates ice, yes, but it was not her original element, so Étaín is not OF ice. I was aiming for an 'exotic beauty'
----------Skin: deep, golden tan ----------Hair: lots of long black hair with deep blue highlights ----------Eyes: brilliant indigo [ some favored shades ]
I'm also envisioning flowing, layered robes that are slightly darker and bluer than her eyes, made of soft fabrics, maybe with some sort of fur-lining. She has a fondness for wearing jewelery and subtly weaving strands of gems into her hair as well. I was thinking loose, tumbling curls for the hair, but if something straight or an up-do would look better, I would trust the discretion of the artist. A lot of her is up to artist interpretation ^_^;
Winter Magics~
While Étaín is fastidious about training herself in all facets of her magic, her ice lore is her strongest, followed by time, and then sleep.
----------Ice || Manipulating ice is a learned, not a natural skill for Étaín. She still treats ice as though she was a water elemental, making her use of ice magics far more fluid that many manipulators of the element. She can make rigid weapons and projectiles, but a coiling whip of ice is far more fun in her mind. She tends to use ice and the surroundings against her opponents. If there is water, she can make ice and make it dangerous.
---------- She MUST have water present to be able to manipulate ice. Even just atmospheric moisture will work, but she is unable to create ice out of sheer willpower alone. If there is only a tiny bit of water, she has only a tiny bit of power. ---------- While she can make any shape she wants with the ice, she is not presently capable of fighting with all the weapons she can create. That is what she is working to improve in her ice lore; she just loathes the idea of having to find someone to train with.
----------Time || While she can to a small extent actually manipulate the flow of time, her true abilities in time magics come from her scrying the flow of time. She can, through intensive meditation skim across the flow of time; seeing events past, present, and future and how they all fit together.
---------- This cannot be used for herself, [so she considers it a downfall] because she is outside the flow of time as she is skimming it, her actions are not visible to her. ---------- This is highly disorienting for her. She loses all sense of present time and self and could very easily lose herself entirely to her meditation. So it is not something she will do for just anyone.
----------Sleep || Étaín is unable to grant sleep, presently... she's always working on it. But she can manipulate the type of sleep you experience. She doesn't really have any 'sleep magics' at all, she simply is creative with her abilities over time. She can extend the amount of time one dreams or extend the deepest point of their sleep so they do not dream at all.
---------- The manipulation of time is exhausting and in order to give time to another, it must be taken from herself. She can still sleep, but she will never reach the deepest stages of sleep if she has given that time to another. ---------- This is an easy ability for her to abuse, as she could theoretically snatch more deep sleep time [by giving light sleep away] for herself. It is unknown if or how regularly she chooses to do this.
