Has anyone been to the Holy Land?
Did you enjoy it? Which part of the Holy Land?
I plan on moving to Israel <3

My sister went on one of those free trips for Jewish teens (I forget what the actual program was called). She loved it! I wish I had gone with her, but I was younger then and going through one of my "organized religion is the cancer of this world" phases.
I've since grown out of that and now wish I had gone with her.

Can you not still go on Taglit? If you're younger than 26 you can.

when i think about the tensions and violence within and surrounding Jerusalem
with justifiable arguments on all sides
i just get very very sad.
i had friends, Palestinian Christians, who were not allowed to go to visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher on Ash Wednesday, because their visa was not accepted- to go from one Palestinian area to another!

chessiejo when i think about the tensions and violence within and surrounding Jerusalem with justifiable arguments on all sides i just get very very sad. i had friends, Palestinian Christians, who were not allowed to go to visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher on Ash Wednesday, because their visa was not accepted- to go from one Palestinian area to another! Church of the Holy Sepulcher is in Israel, not Palestinian territories. The IDF was well in their means to reject their visas. Did you know that Jews aren't even allowed on their own damn Temple Mount?

No idea why though, the Q'ran doesn't even mention Jerusalem as far as I am aware. Muslims have Mecca, they need to leave the damn mount alone. This really angers me, beyond belief.
