[Kittens will not be RPed in here, all of it is hinted from myself and Anarchy. Makes things easier. xD]
It had been strange to see ChaeRin around again. She had come a long way from their old apartment complex that their humans lived in, and she hadn't escaped with Ji to boot. As to how she found her way to the Ruins, Tempo would never know...but he was thankful for it, anyway.
Leila had been a possibility for another surrogate, however she had a current interest in another male that Tempo had had yet to meet...so he dared not ask her about birthing another litter after Ji got better. The ocicat had missed a lot of their childrens' growing up, and Tempo knew he couldn't make that up...but he could at least give him another chance to watch their babies grow up, right?
It was far from replacing their previous children, it was just the empty nest syndrome is seemed. With SunBae moving to the university, SeungMoon getting a mate, and the rest of their children able to go out on their own whenever they wanted--well, Tempo felt pretty useless to them. And with their territory growing quickly, now with twenty four members or so, he felt the need to have a bigger family...something that Ji could focus on other than recovering, and ChaeRin had always wanted kittens of her own..so why not go along with that? They'd had a surrogate once before, an awkward one at that since they didn't know her, but ChaeRin they'd known for quite some time.
After it was decided that Tempo would be the father this time...both because JiYong wasn't quite recovered yet, and because the forest cat decided it'd be nice to have a litter that consisted of ocicat and his own breed to look like he and JiYong had actually been able to reproduce, they worked everything out and ChaeRin ended up pregnant..and growing quickly.
It was nearing the time for the female to give birth when she disappeared. Tempo had assumed that she'd just gotten lost in the city...but after searching for her, he was told by a few cats that a pregnant female had recently been picked up by some strange humans who took her out of town.
And so here they were--he and his mate--at the gates of the facility once more. Tempo had insisted that the ocicat stay behind and he'd bring his second in command, SiWon, so he could rest...but the blonde had had none of that. The previous entrance that they had gone into was closed up, and now they were making their way over the fence, through the broken barbed wire near a building with smoke gushing from the top. It didn't smell welcoming at all...but they'd move past it and head towards the main building where their first litter had been brought...and see if ChaeRin was here at all.

Chaerin finding them was a miracle, simply put. She was the closest thing to a best friend - aside from Tempo, of course - that Jiyong had ever had, and unfortunately had been sacrificed when he had left to find Tempo. Of course she had put the idea in his head and encouraged it but...And then her agreement to be their surrogate was perfect. She basically was Jiyong, just...with a v****a.
But now she was missing. And for Chaerin that wasn't too out of the ordinary - she liked to go exploring and all that, disappear for a day or two, but after a few days it was starting to freak him out.
But this whole rumour of her being in the Facility was bull. Chaerin couldn't ever get caught by humans. It was just...precaution, them being here. They just wanted to make sure.
That was it.
Wriggling underneath the fence and keeping low to the ground, Jiyong's ears folded to his head as he looked to Tempo, shifting. "Any ideas?" he murmured, shifting and swallowing. He still hurt, all over, his clothing irritating his burns and wounds and his knees yowled in protest when he walked. But dammit he needed to make sure Chaerin was alright. Chaerin and their litter.
"We could break a window or something," he offered, frowning. That might attract attention, or set of an alarm, but...

Tempo didn't want to believe that the woman was here, but after their first litter...he almost didn't doubt it. But now he was on high alert, what with everything seemingly fixed up and nicer...another building had popped up in front of the main building they had gone to before..
It was all too much. This place had expanded, which means that they needed more room...lord knows how many cats were here.
"I guess.." He reached over to take hold of the man's arm, making sure he was steady. Tempo really hated the idea of the man being here, especially if something did happy.
The scent of the burning was making his eyes burn, but he didn't hear any dogs coming...so he lead them towards the main building, keeping low in the short grass and what was left of the snow from the long winter. The forest cat kept hold of his lover's arm, making sure he didn't fall behind or fall as they finally got to the main building. The front door would be easy...but a window would be better. Flicking his ears, he made his way right up to the front, lightly pushing on the door...which opened pretty easily, actually. And from what he could tell, no humans just yet.
Peaking his head in, he looked around, no sight of anything or anyone. So, he tugged the blonde inside, only to see a dark-colored cat wander by them, pausing to stare before moving on without a word. The cat had a collar on like their children--so maybe the room was in the direction he had just come from.

"I'm fine quit," he whispered, reaching up to take the man's hand briefly, squeezing it tightly. The smoke...it hadn't been there before, had it? He would've remembered smoke...and the smell. The smell was starting to make him sick. It wasn't just the smokey smell, either, it was something more...gut-wrenching.
Following after Tempo, Jiyong glanced around nervously. Only be their luck to run into dogs or something, or humans catch them..."Chaerin's probably at home now, waiting, calling us stupid," he muttered quietly, reaching forward to hold onto Tempo's tail tightly. "With her belly all big..."
Trailing off, he quieted as the door opened and they peeked inside. Frowning, he moved to step inside the building...only to stop and eye the other cat. What the hell?
"H-Hey! Wait!" he hissed, quickly chasing after the rather frightening cat. "Wait, please help us!"

Frowning when he was pushed away from holding onto his arm, he took his hand instead, wanting to make a comment about how stubborn he was...but they were inside too quickly, so he'd yell at him for it later.
As his tail was taken hold of, he frowned and looked back at him--before Ji broke out yelling and hissing, making him wince and grab onto the man, holding him back from bolting off. "Ji! Hush, we're going to lure the humans..." And it was too late. He winced at the sound of footsteps, a human calling for 'Lorne'. He pushed the man to the wall, using his larger form to block the ocicat away from the human's view...but the human didn't seem to notice them.
Lorne, dont make so much noise. The maine coon looked up at the woman who was speaking to him, flicking his tail and turning to gimp his way back towards her, mewling and rubbing on her legs. Once the human had wandered off, the three-legged cat looked over to them before turning and making his way back in the direction that he had come from, pausing to see if they were going to follow or not.
Tempo seemed uneasy about it--but he slowly moved away from JiYong and stalked after the large cat, frowning as he did. Who the hell was this guy?

Grunting and biting his lip to keep from wailing as pain shot up his chest and back, Ji squeezed his eyes shut and buried his face into Tempo's neck, biting his lip. Jesus christ that hurt...gripping at the other man's arms tightly, he shifted and looked up, watching the woman walk away.
Taking a step away from Tempo and wincing, Jiyong touched a hand to his chest before noticing the other cat looking at them. ******** he was scary...but maybe he was going to help them? "Maybe he knows where...the cats are," Jiyong said quietly, ears flattening. "Maybe he'll help us..." Stepping after the mangy cat, Jiyong reached over to grip onto the forest cat's hand tightly, swallowing.
Well...if the cat was leading them to certain doom or whatever, at least they'd die together right? Kind of romantic.

Romantic his a**.
"Sorry baby.." He murmured, reaching up to touch the back of his head softly, feeling instantly guilty--but he didn't know what else he could do...JiYong kinda' stuck out in shadows and such, being such a bright color. At least the forest cat was darker.
"I donno', I dont trust him," he muttered, but still moved to follow him. It was just strange for this cat to be loose--and allowed to be loose. Didn't settle well with him at all. Taking in a slow breath, he paused as this 'Lorne' turned a corner and easily made his way into a room. A few soft mewls and the human inside was leaving, heading down the hallway, muttering about feeding the cat and that it wasn't his responsibility.
Lorne came out a moment later, and sat down outside of the door, looking over to them with a raised brow. Seemed he had brought them where they needed to go... "Come on," quickly, but carefully, he lead his lover into the room that the maine coon was keeping watch over for them, and he looked around...so familiar. It was the same room their previous kittens had been.
Biting his lower lip, he began to scan over the cages...when he saw ChaeRin lying on one of the bottom cages, not moving, with a huddle of kittens far away from her, in a corner. "Chae--" s**t.

The cat was scary, and Jiyong was nervous, trusting this stranger, who obviously had connections to this place, but...bowing his head in thanks to the cat, Jiyong quickly padded after his mate, keeping a hand on his tail still. Kind of a nervous habit, he supposed...
Looking around the room and flattening his ears, he bit his lip. He shouldn't be loud, he knew, but...
"Rinny?" he called, shuffling over to some cages on the other side. Cats in the same condition as his babies were; blind, deaf, confused, unconscious...Perking his ears when he heard Tempo speak, Jiyong turned and quickly ran over, opening his mouth excitedly. "Chaeri-"
Oh.
Oh no.
"Chaerin?" he whispered, voice trembling. Reaching forward, he managed to squeeze his arm between some of the bars, touching her tail.
She was cold.
"N-No...Chae..."
Turning to Tempo with wide, teary eyes, Jiyong bit his lip and swallowed. "Sh-She..."

He had almost expected it--as horrible as it sounded...but..he bit his lower lip, looking back towards the one called Lorne, who was staring back at them with an apologetic, knowing expression.
This male knew what was going on...he acted so familiar with them, it was kind of scary.
Stepping up to JiYong, he swallowed thickly, gingerly wrapping his arms around his lover's torso to hug him against his chest. "Baby..it's okay," they had to work fast, though. So, as he looked back to Lorne, he kissed his lover's forehead before moving to the lock. It was a simple lock...one of those squeeze-the-bars-and-the-door-opens sorts of things. He was used to those.
So, silently, he pried the cage door open, looking towards the horrified kittens with a soft smile. Chaerin was just...lying there...they obviously knew their mom was dead. "Come on--we're here to help you," they'd lived here since they were born...how could he explain to them who he was? So as Lorne gave a mewl of warning, he went for a different tactic...grab and run.
Snagging up one of the smaller kittens by the scruff, he winced at the yowls that began to erupt from the small bundles, but he had to get them out of here. "Take them," he pushed one after another towards JiYong--and a moment later this Lorne guy was there, taking a few of the kittens before motioning for them to leave. Obviously he wasn't there to hurt them, so they should trust them...but the sound of human footsteps heading their way made his ears fold back. Where to go..

God, she was...Taking in another trembling breath, he sniffed and quickly took the kittens piled into his arms. They were so small, so young..."It's okay," he whispered, stroking one of their backs. "It's okay we're going to help you..."
Curling his tail around Tempo's thigh, he swallowed and looked around the room nervously. No windows, where where..."I-Is there a way out?" he whispered to the other cat, his ears folding back.
Stroking one of the cats nervously, he bit his lip and quickly padded over to the door, peering around the corner. s**t!

The kittens were out, and he set the last one into Lorne's hold..with Ji holding three and Lorne holding two, he had his arms free in case something happen, so he wouldn't have to scramble to attack if he had to.
Following after Ji, he looked back to ChaeRin's body, biting his lower lip before watching Lorne book it out of the room, and down the hallway where they had come from. He paused, looking back at them, before motioning for them to follow.
Pushing Ji out of the room, he got the man up to where Lorne was before he lead them towards the front door--no sign of anyone yet. But he did hear yelling from down the hall, alarms being ********, go," he muttered, pushing him towards Lorne, who was holding the kittens tenderly to his chest with his one good arm.
Lorne was growing increasingly worried--he'd gotten them this far, but now they had to hurry. All this time he didn't think he'd have to speak too much so he wouldn't end up being someone too overly trusted by these men. But he recognized them from the time before...and the territory right next where the facility was.
He'd seen the woman die, and knew that they were somehow attached...along with the kittens...it was horrible how this place was just growing worse.
Shifting the kittens, he managed to get ahold of JiYong's shirt, beginning to drag him towards the front door...when the humans came in. Two of them, one heading straight for himself and the blonde, while the other was going for Tempo. The forest cat was the largest, he'd be the most difficult to take down..
Shoving the front door open, he rushed out quickly with the blonde, making sure the humans didn't specifically see him..that'd end very badly. The forest cat rushed after them, managing to latch onto the human's leg and distract him long enough to get both humans going after him. Hissing and snarling, the front door slammed closed behind Lorne and JiYong...but the three-legged cat didn't give JiYong time to look back, all but dragging him towards the gates.
"You need to go back to where you came from, he'll come back for you," Lorne growled, cursing that this didn't work out the way he had wanted it to...but the forest cat had managed to distract the humans, at least. Or else they'd all be in those cages again..

Jiyong wanted to touch Tempo, wanted the other man to hold his hand, but his arms were full with three wriggling kittens. Looking up at Tempo with wide eyes, Jiyong bit his lip as he quickly hurried after Lorne, glancing over his shoulder. s**t s**t s**t.
"What are you talking about going, c'mon!" Ji snapped, shifting the kittens in his arms. "Come on they're coming!" Reaching out with his tail to wrap it around the man's fluffy one, Jiyong opened his mouth - only for everything to explode in a blur. Dark fur and human skin and fabric and hisses and yeowls and shouts and suddenly he was outside, being pulled across the grass and the door was slamming behind him and no no no!
"Tempo!" Jiyong screamed, pulling at Lorne's hold as he watched through the glass as the humans wrestled with the large cat, his large cat. "Seunghyun!" Whipping around to face Lorne, Jiyong fumbled with the kittens as he tried to push them into the man's arm. "I have to go back please I can't leave him here they'll kill him," he rambled, body trembling. "Please!" He didn't know what he was doing, he just knew he had to go help Tempo, had to go get him out, couldn't last without him again, couldn't couldn't couldn't...

s**t, he couldn't deal with this right now. Lorne growled and continued to tug the man along with him, "Come on!" He snapped, pushing him towards the fence quickly. If he didn't get back in there soon they were going to freak out.
Biting his lower lip, he shook his head when the three kittens were pushed towards him, snarling as he pushed them back. "I cant!" If he had all five the dogs would get him...and the kittens. And the mom wouldn't be the only one dead.
Reaching the fence after pretty much dragging the wounded cat with him, he pushed a large stone out of the way of the usual exit he used. The three-legged maine coon was quite a bit larger than the blonde, so this was pretty easy for him. Setting the kittens outside of the fence, he began to push JiYong out as well.
"Hurry up!" He snapped, wrinkling his nose, "Go back to where you came from, he'll come back for you," Lorne assured, making sure the blonde didn't land on the kittens, and that all of the babies were through before replacing the rock, hoping the wounded ocicat couldn't move it.
Taking in a slow breath, he made his way back quickly towards the facility, rushing much faster than he had just moments before..maybe he could do something to help...but it didn't look good.

"Wait please! You don't understand! They need him, they need him!"
Gone. Gone gone gone gone gone.
Clawing at the rock and trying to push it, Jiyong let out a sob as the stupid thing didn't move, didn't even budge and he was left here, sitting in the grass surrounded by kittens from his dead friend and his mate and jesus how was he supposed to do this alone? Looking down at them as they looked up at him in confusion, Jiyong let out a sob as he buried his face into his hands.
Tempo was gone.
After a few minutes, Jiyong pushed himself to stand, his knees wobbling dangerously. He had to get home, had to get the kittens safe, and then he had to find SiWon and Alice and tell them what had happened and they needed to come back and they needed to save Tempo, needed to get him...
Bundling up the kittens in his arms with some difficulty, because of his wounds and how weak he was, Jiyong began to make his way through the forest towards home. "It's okay," he whispered, kissing their heads. "I've got you."
