It's been a several Decades since Naruto took his place as kage (20 years since NFS v1). Many of the nin from this golden era have passed away leaving the way for the next generation.
War has just subsided lasting 12 years long with the death toll in the thousands, however from this conflict and rebuilding new alliances have rose, old villages disappeared into the history books, and new faces have begun to rise making themselves powerful figures within the ninja world.

It is rumored that the tailed beasts have all again been sealed, yet some strange power continues to repopulate the monstrosities whenever one is sealed. None the less others seek to capture and seal away the dark spirits hoping the plague they brought to the land will end.

~: Konoha Explodes :~

Word has spread all through the world to nearly every major Shinobi Country that a seemingly normal estate exploded late this afternoon in the Konoha city of Otafaku. Shinobi from Konoha have examined the charred remains of the estate and have come to believe that what was left behind was the wreckage of some sort of laboratory. It is unclear as exactly who built this lab or for what. Sources have claimed that contracts left behind by a clan of mercenaries. Some have come to believe that these very mercenaries were covertly working towards the aid of the Leaf Village, this rumor however has yet to be confirmed. Although the explosion managed to level off the estate, no one was harmed, not even a single injured inhabitant has turned up, leading Konoha forces to believe that the workers of this lab fled the scene after the explosion. Upon further investigation of the estates remains it has become apparent the the explosion was not done purposely and was most likely the result of a failed procedure of some sort. The resulting damage has caused several minor Forrest fires that the Hokage has assured its people will be put out immediately, however he does ask for any able bodied Shinobi to assist in the capture of the lab workers who have now been labeled as traitors until further notice.
