The key to being a good writer is reading a lot, and writing a lot. One way to keep you writing often is FIZZLES!

A fizzle is an idea, a spark, a FIZZLE that gets you started on writing. Fizzles should be somewhere between half a page at it's shortest, and three pages at it's longest.

A fizzle can be anything. It can be an inspiring quote, lyrics from a song, the first two words that pop in your head, a question you want asked, ANYTHING!



INSTRUCTIONS

Now the way we work the fizzle topic thread, is you post fizzle ideas. You can post as many fizzles as you want, but try to keep them fairly interesting.

~Then to write a fizzle you pick a random number telling you which page to pick a fizzle from.
~Next, you pick another random number telling you which fizzle on that page you're going to do.

exclaim You can also just pick a fizzle that seems interesting to you, but picking a random fizzle will help you to expand your writing horizons.

~Once you've got your fizzle topic you're going to write on, post another fizzle topic here.
~Once you've written your fizzle, post it in the writing fizzles thread.
exclaim Put the fizzle you pulled in bold at the top of your writing (along with any warnings you may need).

Your writing must be somehow related to the fizzle you pulled but it's ok to sway a little from your topic so long as te topic has something to do with your fizzle.


OTHER NOTES:

I noticed in a large portion of the introductory posts, many of you came here to learn to work through writer's block. Starting a fizzle is an excellent way to prevent writer's block! Make sure that you do fizzles regularly and you will learn a fluid way of mind.

I recomend doing fizzles weekly to have the best impact on your writing skills.
