1) Respect yourself as a writer. (see the guild home)
2) Respect others when writing. (see the guild home)
3) When posting something that may be questionable (ex. spoilers, violence, romance, ect...) Post a warning in the first post before you start typing your work. Don't forget gaia's terms of service when posting material.

This guild's views on apologizing:
After a good deal of reading here, I saw one specific problem I had to address.
Apologizing for what you have to say
This problem is especially prevalent with the newer writers. Many people will open a piece by apologizing that it's not the best, and/or will close by apologizing for what they have written.
Nobody's perfect. There's things that need improving in everything that's done by human hands, so there's no need to apologize for what you have to offer.
Take pride in what you have to say. There's always going to be someone else out there who's a better writer, so there's no need to put yourself down by saying that you're not the next best writer.
With that being said, I never want to see the words "I'm sorry" or "I apologize" or any other form of those words in the introduction to a piece unless it's a part of the work or a title of the work.
Don't worry, Taking pride in what you have to write will not attract flaming like it might in other parts of gaia, it will show that you are really trying to better yourself. I am personally overjoyed with EVERYTHING everyone here has to offer and would like to emphasize again that nobody has anything they have to apologize for.
Writers, keep posting your wonderful works. And readers, keep up your fantastically respectful critiques.
