Winter days were so somber while waiting for spring. Today was an exception though leaving this winter day warm and sunny. The grass awaiting spring lazily peeked out in some places higher then others. In all it was peaceful and downright beautiful. No clouds were in the sky so this walk was befitting of the mare that traveled in smooth steps through the snow.
Her thoughts were on the world around her yet she wasn't alone. Padding sneakily by her side was that ever present pain in the butt ferret. Maybe he was the reason she wasn't trusted sometimes yet Kairi knew that wasn't true. Celendria accepted who she was and held no faults other then stitch and his shenanigans. She faced the fact he wasn't bonded but yet he was there. Think of it as not being lonely she thought to herself.
So walking along the ground she looked up now and then wondering where the clouds had gone. Sometimes she thought of them as her own life thinking how it just wouldn't be the same if she left her home or if the clouds disappeared forever. There was a reason, a purpose for everything this Kairi understood. It was just that some days seemed less likely to believe then others. Life was so complicated sometimes.

His wings casting massive dancing shadows on the small ground below. He hadn't felt so alive in such a long time. His ego, his personality and his flight, it was all coming back to him. The bright sun's heat warming him thoroughly as he lazily soared above the trees. He smiled softly at the small signs of life coming through the snow.
"Oh..What..."
He circled about as his eyes caught a pink figure moving through the trees. Winged he could tell, but walking on the ground...he had been in that position only a few months earlier. Wondering about her he slowly made his way down. Landing quietly behind her. Watching her movements, she was so different so refreshing. Smiling a cocky smile he slowly made his way up to her, waiting to see if she would speak first or if he would make the first contact.

Kairi had been so in tune to her contemplations that she barely missed hearing her visitor. It was more so the ferret standing on two legs trying to see just who got the drop on them. She looked carefully noting an interesting stallion that reminded her of a bird. Taking her hoof she nudged Stitch to the side as she turned to meet this new face.
"Hello... " she manged wondering what he wanted. Did Stitch steal something belonging to this gent she wondered. Lately she wished he'd find a hole and stay there. She had no idea how many things the little monster had stolen in the villages they visited. Only the fact they were placed in blankets or cloth. Sometimes gems, string, even weird things from the pale faces. Whatever the case the little brat managed to have her returning things all the time. She was sad to think the locals thought her a thief because of a ferret being naughty.
Clearing her throat she spoke once more, " I'm terribly sorry if you are missing something err just tell me what it is and I'll be sure its brought make to you" she coughed narrowing her eyes at Stitch. What could he of stolen this time she wondered. Looking deeply in apology at the stallion she awaited his verdict. If this was true she would strangle him later.

Swellow looked amused when the mare spoke. Seeing her companion he let out a hearty laugh.
"Ah m'dear that friend of your has stole nothing from me...yet"
He said gently with a glint of mischief in his eye. Swellow had been so down lately that even this light flirting had been at one time completely insane he though. But today was different he would make the mare weak at the knees and would find satisfaction knowing that he was the cause. Looking once more at her companion he couldn't help but notice her tone. Perhaps even more then the mischief he though of having, he wondered if she was in need of help herself. Trying to push that from his mind he smiled again,
"But you...you have captured not only my eyes but it seems my heart...for you m'dear are the most beautiful mare I have had the pleasure to lay my eyes upon."
Way to go Swellow, he thought, go ahead lay it on thick and get rejected before you could make her swoon...but then again you are Swellow you are magnificent all mares would love to be by your side...he smirked at his thoughts before looking back at her.

Kairi was relieved that Stitch wasn't the sheer cause for alarm much like the Kalona dragon incident, nor she wasn't dropping her guard with him either. Her eyes were soft as she watched him feeling rather tingly deep inside her strong chest. His words were smooth like the sweet treat that Tirranna made for the herd combined with the sweetness of honey.
"Why thank you...." she murmured accepting his comment openly, "I've never thought myself to be beautiful though. You are very sweet".
Stitch on the other hand had other ideas as he sized up this giant bird. Those feathers would make Kairi beautiful in her mane and tail. The problem was how to obtain them without the stallion noticing. He waited till the two were watching one another then he scurried over and hopped upon a low lying bush that had access to the tree tops. Hopping quietly he made a leap of faith and landed on the nearest tree branch.
Kairi though was smitten at the treatment she was receiving right now. She didn't pay attention to Stitch nor did she think he'd do anything brash and out of order after she scolded him. Her thoughts were directly lying upon this newcomer.
"I'm Kairi by the way. What would your name be?" she mused how her words weren't anything like his but she wasn't too shy to ask things boldly either. For the time being she forgot to mention Stitch.

Swellow tried to look disappointed, but then smiled and bowed gracefully,
"M'dear I am hurt that you have never even heard my name before today. I am Swellow, but you can call me whatever you wish. For such a beautiful creature such as your self can mold any stallion in to what she would wish."
Swellow grinned inwardly this was going wonderfully well, after all his heartbreak he felt almost himself again laying it on thick for this mare. He hadn't even noticed the creature crawling towards him. And at this point in time probably wouldn't have even cared. His brain was telling him to cool it but something else said to keep going, that perhaps she could be fun to be around. Nah she was just to be his way back to feeling normal. Nodding he watched her intently,
"Kairi...Kairi...what a beautiful name, so tell me Kairi how is it such a creature as yourself is alone walking through the woods? Shouldn't your mate me here watching you making sure none such as myself come and snatch you away?"
