Aerlinniel was officially bored. It had been raining since she woke up. Poppa Zui wouldn't let her go outside to play. She pouted at that. Now everyone else was gone and Poppa Zui had fallen asleep. Aer grinned to herself. Now was the perfect time to sneak out to play, so that was just what she did.
Aer slipped through the teepees open flap and took off through the rain. It was muddy out, but she didn't mind. She hopped from one puddle to the next splashing herself with mud and water, but not caring a lick. She was in one of her tomboyish moods. Humming a tune as she made her way to the river, she stopped as she spied a foal across the way. Whoever it was, they had quite a few little wings and a pointy horn just like her Poppa Zui did. Feeling bold, she splashed through the cold water to get to the other shore.
"Hey!" She called out as she scrambled up the bank, "Hey you! Do ya wanna play wif me?" She asked the other foal with a smile.

Sonnet had been following a large frog around, it having been jumping all over the palce. He liked frogs, and would often follow them along as they jumped off on their merry way. He also practiced trying to fly while following them, as usually that ment he was alone. Not sure why but most seeming to not like the little ribbity toads and frogs.
Looking up hearing a 'Hey' and lots of splashes. Turning round to see a filly splashing through the water to him, trying not to pull a face. Girls either ment he was about to be bored to death with girlish stuff, or bugged by a sibling... Not sure why but having been chased away from the last filly he said hello to. Stopping with his fun with the frog and looking at her, not seeing a sibling so thinking that this was going to go to a boring place. Though she was rather muddy so maybe there was hope yet.
"You wanna play with me?" Tilting his head and looking at her, all his wings having folded up. Not actually getting close to her just incase someone was watching to chase him off. "Wha yo wanna play?" Curious cause if she said something girly he was going to find the frog that had now hopped off without him.

Aer was definitely not in the mood to be girly. She spotted the frog and grinned. "Les chase th' froggy! Betcha he's loads o' fun!"
She beamed and followed word with deed. She chased the froggy. She dived after it and promptly got splattered with mud when she hit a muddy patch on the ground. Giggling she turned to the colt and grinned, "Ya comin' or what?"
Most of the time she was rather dainty and ladylike, but times like now she was a total tomboy. Not caring a bit about appearances or keeping herself clean. She was out to have fun!

Sonnet blinked, not quite sure what to make of this filly. To start with she looked like nothing he had ever seen before, especially her wings, or were they wings? Chasing after her simply to have another look, trying to work her out a little bit. She also wasn't acting like most girls he met, she acted more like his sister... Wow that was a creepy thought.
Wandering through the mud, only noticing it because the wings on his back hooves got heavy and uncomfortable. Peering at her still, wondering what those things over her eyes were. This was all rather odd but she was definately some kind os soquili... Maybe a mutant!
This idea made him smile, and with usualy childlike bluntness he asked her outright. "Are you a mutant?" Getting up close now and looking her in the face before peering at her wings, actually going to far as to give them a sniff to see if they were real.

Aer was thoroughly enjoying the game of chase the frog. Stopping at the colt's question, she stuck her tongue out as she thought about it. "Uhhh...wassa mu..tant?"

Jumping back as she pokes her tongue out, not abour to get girl germs on himself. "Its someone thats different somehow... Like your wings arent like mine.... I've seen others with wings like mine but yours look funny... No feathers and sparkle stuffs." Not really explaining it well but knowing that mutations were things that people normally didn't have.

Aer shrugged, "I 'unno." Seeing the huge muddy patch she was standing in, Aer used I hoof to splash the purple colt, before taking off with a giggle, "I gotcha!"
She really had no idea that she was different. Her brother and sister had the same wings as Sonnet did. Okay, there were kinda the same. They didn't have as many as he did and they were only on their backs. Aer just figured hers were the same too. Shaking her head, she looked back to see if the other foal was chasing her. This could be fun!

Blinking Sonnet shakes his head having taken the splash of mud right in the face. Shaking his head again and rubbing his eyes to his leg so he could see again, finding she had gone by the time he had cleared his sight.
Looking arond for which direction she had gone in, wandering around the immediate area he had been in, not able to tell the direction that she had goe in.

Aer was hiding behind a tree up ahead and slightly to the right. She poked her head out from around the trunk, giggled, and said "YOU CAN'T CATCH ME!'
She ducked back behind the tree. Trying to be as quiet as she could, she crept towards the tree behind and to the left of the one she was at now. She wondered if he was mad. She hoped not.

"DONT BET ON IT!" Yelling after her, Sonnet stars running in her direction, charging full out after her, having pretty good speed and stamina for a foal so if she wanted to play tag he was going to chase. Giving his wings the odd flap, lifting him just enough to clear twigs and other things in his way. Not gliding long as it actually slowed him down, but he cleared things more easily.

[color-#8e5f99]Aer let out a squeal and fled as the colt chased after her. She tried to zigzag so he couldn't really get a clear shot if he wanted to throw mud on her or throw a rock.
She squeaked and headed down the path, leaping over a log, her little wings flapping furiously to help her clear it. She landed on a stick, which rolled. She pitched forward with an eep and ended up in a mud puddle.

Sonnet gave some big flaps of his wings to clear the log and her, landing on the other side of the log and turning to face her. Not able to stop the laugh at first. squashing it as soon as he had enough control. "Are you ok...." Walking over to see if she was hurt, trying to not be too amused, even though this had gotten her back better than he could have.
Stopping not too far away, his expression concerned, not wanting her to be hurt.

Aer sniffled a little as she heaved herself up. She shook herself to clear off some of the mud. "No, that hurt."
She looked at him with mud sliding off her body in different places. "Is there a river nearby?" She walked away, making a squelching sound as she did and shook off more of the mud.

Sonnet cringed, this didn't bode well, but she couldn't be too hurt, she had gotten up just fine. "You came through the river originally." Remember her splashing through the water calling to him. Looking bak the way they had come from. "This way.." Going round the thing she had fallen over, leading her back the way they had come.
