How long had it been since she had left Subu and the pups? It was hard to tell, many of the days seemed to blur into one another. It could have been weeks maybe even a month. And while she wanted to just escape that life she couldn't deny the fact that they did haunt her thoughts a great deal of the time. Too often for her liking. Usiku had wanted to just forget all about them. Go back to her old ways, or at least have a damn good reason to return.

Stopping at a watering hole to slack her thirst, Usiku looked at her reflection. "Life sucks." She muttered to herself before slapping the water with her paw. Life had been hard for her and it seemed that it wasn't about to get better. "Too bad no one understands all the crap that I've been though."

User Image Abla knew of all of the wild dog's hardships. She could related to every one of them in one way or another. She had been through a lot through out her own life. She had been through many, many days and she had a 'job' that had to deal with hardships. She was perched up on a tree not that far away from where the canine was. Her over developed hearing picked out what the female was saying. She was born blind and ever since she was younger she had a bit of a upper hand with hearing, smell, even taste and touch however she did not have the sight. Well she could say that she had a little bit of sight but it was weird it was a black world with white outlines of things, at least she knew she couldn't run into things!

She shifted herself in the tree, hanging one of her paws down as she pulled her body closer to her back trying to figure out if she was going to talk to the wild dog. She really wasn't that sure if she wanted to go down there. Her slight shyness getting the best of her however she knew that this Wild dog needed some talking to, and she was going to do it.

"I do." She said simply as she looked at the creature then moved out of the tree easily, stretching out her wings for a second before pulling them back to her natural state. She smiled softly at the lioness nodding to her. "I understand it all." She chuckled slightly as she nodded.

It was rare indeed for something to sneak up on Usiku even when she wasn't paying attention to what was around her. Whipping around at the voice, a growl in her throat Usiku's eyes fell upon a lioness. But she didn't appear to be a normal lioness at all, not with those wings. Wings or not, this was a lion and Usiku hated lions with a passion. Lips curled back in a snarl. "How could you understand what I have been through?"

A few other questions and choice words ran through Usiku's mind but she kept them at bay for now. Eyes narrowed as she looked at this winged lioness. Of all the creatures to run into day, why did it have to be a lioness. "And just who the hell are you?"

Abla was a little surprised at the grow but then again she wasn't put off because of it, she did sneak up on the creature. She couldn't blame it for getting up in arms and getting annoyed at her. She flicked her tail around a few times approaching the creature with a nonthreatening post. she didn't want to make the creature feel attacked that was for sure. She rested her wings a little more before smiling gently at the wild dog, she ignored the first question.

"My name is Abla." She said simply, flicking her head so some of her hair wasn't in her eyes. She ruffled her wins before nodding. "I am the goddess of hardships." She nodded proudly before smiling softly before smiling at the creature. "What is the matter young one?" She asked quietly with a nod, she was curious on what was bothering the creature.

Usiku's brow raised ever so slightly at the word goddess. So this winged lioness was one of these gods that she had heard about. Go figure, lions would be gods wouldn't they. "Goddess of hardships huh? And what would a God know about hardships? You do not live mortal lives." Usiku was not trying to be offensive but she had a hard time believing that a God or Goddess knew what tough lives mortals lead. Surely they sat up in the clouds eating only the finest of kills.

Clenching her teeth at the lionesses next question Usiku took a moment to breath before answering. Normally should would have just snapped at someone who asked her these things, but she was trying to change. "What's the matter? Life is what is the matter. It sucks. It kicks you when you are down and doesn't give you a chance to get back up before it kicks you again."

Abla had a lot of patience, even she had to admit this, there weere many lions who tested it but she never acted any different she would still act sweet and nice, she didn't care who they were she didn't care how they were acting she wouldn't change the sweet part of her. She nodded toward the wild dog before nodding. "You have no idea young one." she shook her head, she had been through a lot herself, infact she couldn't even see the creature she was talking to. She hunted down the outline that she could see before looking at the outline and nodding. "I understand all that you've been through.

She shook her head before smiling at her. "It sucks for a lot of others at one point of another. Just when you think it's horrible it turns around and makes you feel worse. She was trying to keep the creature clam, she didn't want to scare it or make it angry at her even though she could feel the frustration fromt he other creature. She sighed slightly before shrugging to the canine. "It can be better but you have to get through the hardships first.

Usiku began to pace back and forth in front of this Goddess. She wasn't really sure what to make of the situation. How could Gods truly know what hardships were? They were Gods weren't they? And as Gods they were above all these things. Right? "How can you understand all that I have been through? In order to do that you would need to know everything about me."

The fact that another creature outside of her family would know what she had been through was a bit unnerving. That had been a well guarded secret and even Subu didn't know all the details of what she had dealt with. "My entire life has been one hardship after another. How can I look forward to it getting better when it just keeps going the way it has been?" There had been a time, as short as it was, that Usiku believed her life had been turning around for the better. Now she wasn't sure, that life - Subu and her pups - she had abandoned. And what for? To wander forever stuck in the pain of her past.

Abla stared forward she could see the blurry outline of the female pace in front of her, she had to admit she was curious on why she was so testy, she really didn't understand it but she watched anyway. She flicked her tail around a few times before nodding toward the creature. "I won't know unless you tell me." She chuckled slightly before shaking her head. "Calm down." She said simply as she watched her.

"So has my life. However it has gotten better." She nodded toward the lioness watching her curiously. "That is how I understand everything that you are talking about. I have been through a great deal of hardships myself."

Usiku nearly snapped as the goddess told her to calm down. But somehow she managed to contain her anger, which was odd for Usiku. Perhaps Gods did have powers over mortals after all. With a shake of her head Usiku stopped her paced and lowered herself on her haunches. "It's a long story."

Taking a deep breath Usiku decided to tell this Goddess just what was bothering her. Not that she was willing to tell her the whole story, but enough to paint a pretty good picture of why she was the way that she was. "As a pup I was forced out of my family at a far too young age. I grew bitter at my family for abandoning me for no reason, so I spend my entire life mad at everyone I met." She came to a pause for a few moments, this was not something she liked talking about at all. "When I finally found someone who accepted me for who I was I thought my life had changed for the better. Then we had four pups and I got scared. I abandoned them and their father as soon as they could survive without me."

Abla looked at the wild dog and her eyes grew soft, he couldn't help but to feel for the creature. She shook her head and looked down at her paws. "When I was little my mother was killed and so were two of my siblings, they were killed by my father." She shook her head before looking at Usiku. "I was raised by my father who often abused me." She nodded before glancing at the other creature. "I understand where you are coming from young one." She closed her eyes for a few moments, taking a break from the headache of her sights, she hated the bright outlines that she could see she was really comfortable with not seeing at all. She liked it better when she woke up some mornings and she couldn't see anything at all.

"You should be there with your cubs." She smiled as she looked at her then nodded. "You never know when they might need you. Bring afraid is something that's hard to get over." She chuckled before nodded at the wild dog. "I was born blind and it has always been scary to do things, She tucked her wings against herself once more before nodding. "You can make a good mother, beside little ones always are worth sticking around for.
