It was a warm summer day, Zeda was by the lake, looking out on the lush field. She had company today. Even though she was not a social mare, it was the kind of company she loved. All her little Usida friends. To this day Zeda did not know why she loved the little creatures so. However since the day she set eyes on Forte her best friend, her fondness of them seemed to grow. She was a completely different person around them, probably because she saw them as people she needed to look out for. She was the mother hen around them. Closing her eyes she took in a deep breathe and smiled, for once she seemed relaxed, however... there was relaxing and then there was letting your guard down.
She got up and wondered over to her friend Forte, smiling as she lowered her head to her height. "Enjoying yourself?" She asked, she did not know she had so many little friends. It made her feel wanted, so much she herself seemed more cheerful. She did not like company much, deep down the thought no one liked her, however today she felt like she was wrong. A small breeze came and blew her mane, exposing her face for once, a rare moment.

Forte kept her blue eyes on the male usdia that was dancing around like a goof in the lake. Before glancing over at her large friend Zeda. "Yes, it's been very nice to get away from the teepee." She smiled a little. "We haven't spent time like this in a long time." Forte had been so caught up with stuff in her life, that seeing Zeda was just impossible. And it was really a shame, because as much as she loved her daughter, having a friend to talk with was really one of the best things. "Rotom is certainly a strange fellow." Rotom was oblivious to what was going on around him. He was chasing the little fish that were in the lake. Bounding around, getting soaked and making quite the ruckus. But boy was he enjoying himself! "Yee haw~" He dove in, but the fish took off, and he huffed some. standing still the water dripping off him. Why did he have to spend the day with two yacking hens again?

Of course, she spent what seemed to be hours just to make sure that her boys were well-fed, well-groomed and generally well before she said her goodbyes... And even that took some time. Ever since their arrival, she had never left their sides; part of her hoped that they would miss her as much as she missed them now- Oops... At the thought, Grace had the sudden urge to return home. However, remembering her promise to Deus, she fought the urge to. Instead, she made her way down to the field beside the lake; she was told that it would be a relatively big gathering of old friends of Zeda's, but she didn't know that they would all be her size. Spotting the mare, she trotted towards her, a smile on her face, "Zeda! Its good to see you again!"
She then nodded in greeting to the usdia mare standing beside her old friend, "Hello, I'm Grace! Its nice to meet you!" She then glanced around, enjoying the warm sun on her pelt; then, she caught sight of a second familiar face by the lake - Rotom, an usdia stallion she had quite a good talk with once. She smiled at the thought as she scanned for more familiar faces; perhaps she would have fun on her day out after all!
