Ok, so I know we already have a Devil Fruits thread but that's canonical stuff. I'm new here, and I figured the best way to introduce myself is to put up this thread. If you had to make up your own Devil Fruit, what would it be? What class would it be? What would it look like? Be original!!!
I'd have to say my fruit would be the Sake Sake no Mi, a mahogany Paramecia-type that enables the user to slug off many attacks due to a drunken stupor the user is able to voluntarily enter.
After a period of time, though, the user would reawaken from the stupor unharmed. The trick to this fruit is, however, the user would be able to transfer the drunken stupor onto a target along with all the blows they took while under it.

i have no idea what the devil classes are. xd but i guess a devil fruit hmmm could to be able to fly????? like peter pan or something like that?

The idea sounds awesome. I'm not very sure what kind of type this fruit id but I think Mizu no mizu fruit. A fruit that allows you to control water.
I know it's not very original but I'm that if you can control water then do you still drown when you go in the ocean?

The Hakabakashii Fruit (Quick-Quick Fruit)
Gives the user the ability to move faster than sound and gives user a well toned body, making him/her better in hand-to-hand combat. The maximum speed the fruit can give you is the speed of light, but you can't see where you're going.
Imagine that with a well trained ability to read Mantra.

I Like To Draw So My Made Up Devil Fruit Would Be Wake Wake No Mi (Draw Draw Fruit) A Paramecia Fruit
I Can Give My Drawings Life And Vice Versa
Whatever The Creation Is Drawn On It Would Be Made From That Material (Eg. If I Draw On Paper, The Creation Would Be Made Of Paper. Same Concept Goes For Stone, Metal, Etc)
Depending On How Well I Draw The Creation Would Be More Stronger (Eg. If I Draw A Plain Stick Figure It Would Be 2-D When Brought To Life. But When I Draw A Realistic Person, It'll Be 3-D Etc. Same Goes For Colors)
Strengths Of The Fruit: As Long As I Have Material To Draw With (Pencil, Ink, Paint, Blood?) I Can Always Bring It To Life
Weakness For This Fruit Would Be That Exact Reason For The Strength, So Take Away My Materials And It'll Be Useless

i have one. its essentially steel, its logia but since steel is well steel it can be hit, its essentially a mix of gazzile from fairytail and the ice guy from one pieces power. the ability to produce steel from you body and form control mould it as you wish razz
oh and its weak to fire

Mine would be a rare dangerous devil fruit that would probably fall under the Pararamecia-type called Fuku Fuku no Mi (Copy Copy Fruit).
It would look transparent like glass yet it is as soft as any other fruit. It is in the shape of grapes.
It has the ability to copy any ability weither it be martial art techniques, sword style, or even devil fruit abilities.
However there are many drawbacks to this fruit.
First off, when one copies the ability, they have to wait one week to use it.
Second, if one use so many abilities one after another it would be like Luffy doing multiple Gear 2. The most that can be done at once is 5-7.
Third, you can only change any Zoan form once every half-hour.
Finally, while you can copy Logia abilities, you will still be affected by physical attacks.
However once an ability is copy, you will always have it and if other certain abilitys were to mix with these than you'd be near invincible.

swap swap fruit <---- paramecia...
trick type
this fruit enables u to swap ur position with anything visible to your eye sight.... its kinna like gives u the ability to teleport... except with a trade of ur self to the object u want to trade position with...
the user will be god at infiltrating, escaping, traveling & ofcourse fighting.... imagine if u trade ur position with a bird and after ur in mid air, then trade ur position with a marine battle ship.... do it frequently... and ull have a ship rain
- u can only swap position with 1 object at a time ( u cant swap with just a part of an object, u have to swap with the whole thing.... the stronger u r the larger the object to swap to)
- u can do it as frequently as u like ( no interval between swaps)
- u dont have a plus immunity to attacks
- can only swap with object visible to ur sight ( u cant swap ur place to somewhere/things from book/poster)
- well u can also use your other sense like touch, smell & noise... but its just dangerous... like driving a porche in a mall or something...
- u can only swap ur self

One that gives the ability to control and transmute myself into water. I'm not sure if that's even possible in the world of One Piece, though, seeing as what happens if you eat a devil fruit. Although, they're only helpless when submerged in water, so...

Well If I had to make one up I guess I'll just use the one I have in my one piece RP >.>
Fruit Name: Enso Enso no Mi (Sphere Sphere fruit)
Fruit Type: Paramecia
Ability: Gives the user the ability to make/control an unlimited amount of "spheres"
Weakness: The spheres can be hit back to hurt the user.

Type: Zoan
Description: Apple shaped-golden orange colored fruit with scratch marks running throughout the fruit.
Ability: Turns me into a winged wolf, wolf-hybrid, or just gives me angel wings
