Rocket Agent Seth

PostPosted: Wed Mar 03, 2010 2:09 pm

(Note: This is a class that Seth is teaching for new recruits who are new to Pokemon training and/or want to learn to be better. It would also be good if you want to OOCly learn about pokemon training and battling and the way things are done in Team Rocket. If you don't think your character would be assigned to Seth's training group or has no need or use for the class, then don't bother jumping in. This isn't a casual hang out RP. Just letting you know. XD ))

It was that time again. New recruits meant more novice trainers that needed to learn a few things in order to succeed in Team Rocket. One thing the team certainly didn't tolerate was failure, thus why training was so important. Not just for the Pokemon, either.

After his four day medical leave was up, slots for the new class had opened up. It was in Pokemon Battle Room #3, and Seth stood silently as he waited for those who were signed up to arrive. A butterfly bandage was still on his forehead, although it was almost completely obscured by his bangs. However, the skin around it and his right cheekbone were discolored from bruising. He hardly seemed to care, though.

Outside the open door was a sign marked, "Basics of Pokemon Training." The elite glanced at his wristwatch, and gave a sigh. They should be coming any minute now. Tardiness would not be tolerated.

Akemi rushed for the class, as she'd signed up to get more practice. The girl had been a member for a while now, but she was rather insecure when it came to her abilities. Of course she had battled before, but being in Team Rocket meant a lot more than that, and there was always room for improvement. She wanted to advance in ranks and be able to do more for the organization, but for the time being she was still just a Grunt, and pretty green at that.

Her three pokémon were inside their balls, like they always were while she was in the HQ - just in case as she didn't want to get scolded. The hallway was still quiet, so either she was on time or terribly late. She'd had to spend more time than usual to get her hair done, but now it was finally in neat braids on either side behind her ears. What a pain it had been to brush it! She was already contemplating cutting it short when she finally arrived at the assigned room, where Seth was standing, waiting.

"G-good day, Sir.." Akemi said meekly, bowing her head slightly as she entered, waiting for more people to show up. She'd seen the Elite Agent on quite a few occasions, including her initial training. He was a little intimidating to her, but she treated all her superiors with respect and never talked back.

Looking from the paper in her hand, to the sign on the door, back to the paper, then to the sign on the door.
Okay… this seemed like it was the right place.
Letting out a heavy sigh, the violent crumpling of the page in her hand followed, and with a lazy flick of her wrist the balled map was tossed casually to the side, bouncing awkwardly on the floor.

With her hair pulled back, and tied tightly away from her eyes, equipted with only her pokeballs and movable clothes, Faleen was as ready as she was going to be, continuing forward to open room, reading the sign once more as she passed, not particularly proud of being at the basic level, but… that’s why she was there, to get better.
Upon hearing the noise of someone rushing, Faleen hesitated looking around sharply to noticed a girl run down the hall and enter the same doorway.
Blinking softly a couple of times at the rushed nature of the girl, hoping that she wasn’t late suddenly, that would not be good for her first day.
Leaning in a little to look around, Find that the only ones in the room was the girl she had just seen, and or course, the instructor, and the man she met at the infirmary.
Her shoulders relaxed, either everyone was late, or she was still on time. With more certainty, she continued into the room, looking to the other Rocket that was going to be trained as well, then over to Seth.
“Sir”

Sounds of fast paced boot steps filled the hall. "I'm going to be late!" A figure rushed passed the masses of Rockets going about their business. She ran at her full speed to get to the training room, trying to look for the Door as she passed. She stopped dead in her tracks, apparently finding herself in a deserted part of the HQ. She glanced at the paper in her had to see that only to find that she had past it up. She sighed with great frustration as she and turned back in the other direction.

Cal's black hair flew in a blur behind her head as she ran. She had recently joined Team Rocket, but with her misbehaving Pichu, she wanted to train and make sure she was ready to do some real work. She clutched the single pokeball at her belt, he would just have to wait to be let out. The little Pichu would find something to get her in trouble. She slowed to an even pace as she approached the room, checking the paper again before folding it and putting it in her pocket. She fixed her hair, her dark skin red hot as she ran a finger over her cold studs that lay in her ears. She calmed her breathing and the door knob with a slightly shaking hand to be greeted by a few other grunts and trainees and an elite.

"Good day Sir." She nodded her head slightly, scuttling off out of his range. Cal stood up straighter than she had earlier, feeling as if she could make a better impression on the elite.

Out of all the possible Rockets that could have walked through the door, the short pink haired girl was probably the last thing that Seth would have expected to join in his class. Yet, here the newest Elite Agent was, punctual to almost the minute.

Where most of the rockets present were probably intimidated by Agent Seth's stature and overall rank, Agent Kunai seemed indifferent. She walked up to him, her stride holding some sort of purpose to it. She stopped in front of him and looked him dead in the eyes. They were equals, and she would not let anyone think otherwise.

"I am here to observe your session." There was no asking permission, she was just stating it as a fact. Having clarified her purpose, she then moved herself so she was standing next to Seth for the moment. For any of the other Rockets lingering in the area, they might have found it strange that a girl who was practically 1.5 feet shorter than Seth was technically on equal terms with him. Yet there she stood, right next to him, no fear dwelling upon her features as she remained there attentively waiting for the session to begin.

The Rocket named Rin was no stranger to fighting as far as fighting with her own body went. A life-long student of ninjitsu who chose to follow a different path than those of her family, she was not at all new to tactics and techniques, hardwork and perserverance. However, she lacked in one very large department.

Actual knowledge of traditional pokemon battles.

Training with pokemon to develope her own skills had taught her the advantages and disadvantages of type and how to use pokemon to her advantage in her own, personal missions. But not in one-on-one, pokemon-to-pokemon battles. A missing skill that would certainly not go unnoticed in this particular team.

Thus, her attendance. Nails, never seen separated from Rin, was curled around the hooded ninja's neck, his tail a dusty brown despite his true shiny hue. The only part of her which showed was the skin of her arms and her dangerous appearing eyes. She seemed all-too-serious, though beneath that mask and entirely hidden from sight was a slight grin as a quick glance around took an inventory on the present faces.

She sat at the back of the classroom after a slight bow- not a salute- towards the Elite Agents in the forefront of the room upon entering. Nails dipped his ears back tighter against his head as if doing the same, though kept his big eyes carefully averted from the pair. From a relatively inconspicious bag tied around her waist she pulled a smallish notebook and set it in front of herself, folding her wrapped arms over it.

As the grunts and trainees filed in, Seth mentally counted them off. That is until a certain pink haired elite also came in. His grim expression didn't change as he looked down at Kunai and she gave her reason for being there. The tall man said nothing, simply just tolerating her presence as she took up to standing next to him.

It was finally time to begin, and again Seth looked the group over. A small frown appearing on his face. There were at least a couple he thought should be here due to poor results. For their sakes, they had better do better the next time around.

Folding his arms across his chest, Seth finally spoke up. "Welcome to the basics of pokemon training." Nevermind that his voice didn't sound at all welcoming.

"You're here either because you're new to Pokemon training, looking to improve, or I've summoned you because of your incompetence in the field. We will be going over the very basics. Some of the material many of you might already know. Get over it. You have to go through this class first to move on to my advanced training class."

He paused and looked over the lot before him again.

"Make sure you pay attention. I will not be going over anything twice. And no questions until I ask for them. Understood?"

Scanning the small group while they waited in the silence for the start of the class, eyes flicking over the door whenever another person entered, though Faleen was surprised with how few times that happened. Four total, and that didn’t include the other Elite (or so she guessed) that had come in to observe.

Faleen shifted her weight from one boot to the other, the addition of the observing elite made her wonder why she wanted to watch a beginner class. Though Faleen could think of a couple of reasons , to see what kind of beginners the rockets had to work with, maybe she was another instructor, or she was here to try and unnerve them,
She was a strange little thing, and gosh she was tiny, especially when she stood next to elite Seth. Aside from her small stature, her pink hair was a huge throw off. Faleen knew better then to assume though, Rocket didn’t promote you to elite for no reason.

Crossing her arms over her middle, Faleen returned her attention with a skip of her heartbeat with excitement at Seth’s announcement to the beginning of the class
Good. Her acknowledgment of another “Sir” was quick but clear; melding in with the other’s voices in the group, now was where things were going to get interesting, she hoped at least, she had no clue what was going to happen today.

Akemi glanced around her to take a look at the other 'students' for today's session, hoping that she wouldn't stand out too much. Luckily, she'd been one of those who signed up for this, rather than having been ordered. She wasn't expecting praise, but she did wish that her superiors would notice that she was trying hard to better herself. Maybe she could be promoted someday soon, if she kept trying hard enough.

The presence of Elite Agent Kunai made the situation slightly more intimidating, however - as if one strict superior wasn't enough. She was even shorter than Akemi was - maybe by an inch or so - but she had an air about her that demanded respect.

Once Seth had finished talking, the girl responded in chorus with the other Rockets present. She was rather eager to see how this session would progress.

Cal looked on in a daze as more people made there way in. She noted them in a lazy glance, glad that she hadn't been the last one. She had signed up for this class expecting it to just be a boring review, but she wasn't sure of her abilities. Though her past battles with her trouble making Pichu had been a struggle, she didn't want to cause the downfall of a mission.

Her brown eyes sparked with interest when another elite entered the room. She showed no fear in the face of Seth, but why would she? They were equals, even though she was about a foot shorter than him. Cal's eyes were draw to the elite's vibrant hair; pink wasn't the color someone would expect. Her presence plus that of Seth's added to the tension in the air.

Cal mumbled a quick "Yes sir" when Seth had called all of them to order. She once again nervously poked at the pokeball on her belt as she waited for the session to get underway.

A few other grunts and trainees had joined the mix before Seth started. So there was more than four of them in the end. (( Just in case anyone wants to join in later. XD Can say they're already there. ))

At least the group seemed to be paying attention as he received the chorus of "sir" from them.

"I've been watching each and everyone one of you. And I have to admit, I don't exactly like everything that I see." Seth's brow furrowed as he focused his gaze on each one in the room.

"Some of you seem to think that Team Rocket is an after school club, not a criminal organization. I suggest you think on your title of 'Grunt'. Pokemon are tools and even weapons. As our motto says, we steal Pokemon for profit, we exploit Pokemon for profit, and all Pokemon exist for the glory of Team Rocket. Make sure you ingrain that in your minds. You won't get anywhere here if you don't. And after this class, we will be taking a trip to Camphoreon City for an exercise."

Again the elite took pause before continuing.

"Now... all of you should have at least one Pokemon. But I doubt all of you know about Dark Pokemon. And I'm not talking about the type. Dark Pokemon are made through the use of specially engineered dark balls. Any Pokemon can turn into a Dark Pokemon when captured with a Dark Ball. They are slightly stronger than normal Pokemon, but also a great deal more aggressive and have different colorations."

With that, Seth plucked a dark ball from his belt and released the Pokemon inside. What appeared was a gigantic Dark Tyranitar. Its hide noticeably darker than usual and its glaring red eyes staring at the grunts.

"Now, each of you release one of your Pokemon! I want to see what you have."

She made a conscious point to listen closely to what he say telling them, not feeling offended at some of his comments because, well, they were true.
Her posture went very still when the Tyranitar was released; her gaze became fixed and intense. Though she refrained from staring at it for long, knowing it could be taken as an offense to stare at an animal like that. And the last thing she wanted to do was offend something as magnificent as that.
Dark Balls… they sounded like they had an awesome ability, not to mention they looked very sleek, she had never read about anything like those before.
Note to self, get one of those balls...

At the order to get one of their pokemon out, she unfolded one of her arms from her waist. Reaching down to slide her finger over the top of one of the pokeballs strapped to her thigh, feeling the grooves she had carved on them for the pokemon she wanted to summon. It wasn’t with much enthusiasm that she popped it open, letting the light spew out and form quickly into her Shuppet.
The ghost type blinking quickly and looking around the room, his skirted body flaring out slightly when it spotted the large dark Tyranitar, swaying back to settle next to his masters head, while the girl glanced around the room at what other pokemon the others had.

She would have preferred to use her Umbreon, but he hadn’t been released by the medics quite yet. She had him in his pokeball on her thigh though.
she looked back to Seth, and waited for further instructions.

One trainer, no matter what Seth said, was not releasing their Pokemon out as requested. She had moved herself away from the Agent she was really here to observe. The pink-haired agent moved herself over towards a nearby wall and stood there, at attention, watching with her face completely emotionless.

He instructed the grunts to release a Pokemon. Kunai knew better than to release her own Pokemon. She was not here to draw attention to herself, and it was not her place to do such a thing. Instead, she watched as an impressive Dark Tyranitar was released in the room. It would be a rather excellent training partner for her designated Pokemon. If she cared to train in such a common place fashion. Her methods for training her only necessary tool was very different from the methods most trainers, and even most Rockets took.

As she continued to watch, she managed to flick out a kunai knife from her side pouch. She looked all business, except for that naughty hand of hers that was playing with one of her favorite weapons.

Panther draged his feet. It was just too early. He had been on shift the day before and now he was here for the training. He would have rather not had it not been for a seemingly passing coment from Seth himself in the hall the other day. Remember your lass mission... he had completly and utterly failed at stealing a single pokemon. He had been training sence, but that mark on his record was one he could not live down. and now he was late. Slightly, but late. This did not bode well for today.

When he snuck in, he spotted no one but two elites. His stomic dropped to his shoes. This was going to be hell. He joined the other unforchently small group, unable to hide in the numbers. he was too tall for that anyway. When the typhlosion was released he eyed it, knowing exactly what a dark pokemon was, he had attained a dark ball himself, in hopes of one day getting the wilder types of pokemon.

When Seth said to produce a pokemon, he quickly produced his Gengar, Shade, who was by far his best behaved pokemon. Shade stood by his side and glanced around.

As soon as Panther stepped in, there was a wild anger in Seth's eyes as he immediately honed in on the skulking grunt.

"Panther! Where the hell have you been?!" he snapped.

If there was one thing Seth didn't tolerate, and there was many, it was people being late.

"Do you think that I or this class are not to be taken seriously?! What makes you think you can slack off more than anyone else?! This is the kind of attitude that lead to your blatant failure in your last mission. You AND your Pokemon, up here, now!"

The man pointed at the floor in front of him. Grunt Panther was going to be a part of his demonstration. Lucky him.
