He was going out for energy~ He was going out for the tree~ Going out with his beloved Ilie!~ Almost nothing to rain on Ishi's...what was that thing humans did? a Par-aid? Yes! His par-aid! He had a par-aid and it was not to be rained on! he had made sure. Checking weather forecasts. Grabbing handfuls of candy and hiding them for later gifts to Ilie. He was going to show her he how useful he was! That he could get lots and lots and LOTS of energy for the tree and she would be so proud! Floating above the outdoor dining area of a fast food joint, Ishi made a mental note to come back here in disguise for later.
"Ilie! ILIE! I think I see one! A human! Should I? Should I?" He tugged at her arm, pointing to a boy with floppish black hair. "I won't mess up! I promise you!" He was so loud it was a wonder they hadn't attracted more attention.

Humans. Everywhere.
Well, this was a human planet, she should expect it, but so far she hadn't come across a single one she could bear to look at for more than a few minutes. Each strand of poorly-colored hair, each button undone, was a personal affront. They were all so stupid, too; the pair of aliens had been floating overhead for a good five minutes and not once had they looked up to see... anything. It was stupid. If she were the leader of the humans, she would have trained them better.
"They're like dogs," said Ilie with relish, "all of them."
She turned to look at her pod-mate, frowning. "I suppose," she said, "if you think you can." Subtle jabs, just to remind him that she was the superior half of their relationship. "Did you remember your cards, Ishi."
It was a silly question, or at least, she hoped it was a silly question...
Ugh, what were they doing?

Azzo stopped, looking around he sword he'd hear something about dog. He'd heard people call him a dog before, mostly little kids but something sounded different this time.
He wrinkled his nose when he didn't see anyone laughing at him. At least not on the ground. He looked at the fast food joint scoping out the prices and what was on the menus.
He paused, "Huh... hot fudge ice cream." He grinned pondering as he was looking around to see if he knew anyone or thought looked familiar.

Esen was not having a good day.
Today she was on a grocery run. She could have sworn that the health food store that she usually went to so she could get get her usual necessities was right here. No, instead, was some random burger joint.
"Useless," Esen said with anger in her voice. "People can't accommodate for those with even minor allergies in these pieces of trash, much less people with major intolerances..."
To be honest, Esen highly disliked fast food joints for the reason of 'she had a major intolerance to gluten.' When the batter coating your favorite nuggets at one place had it, well, that said something. She was planning to walk on past...
However, the neatly-dressed, radioactively-haired Esen noticed something hanging in the air as she was walking down the street. "Balloons?" she quietly muttered. Did balloons have arm movement now? She decided to walk onto the place - ugh, that smell was really unfair - and waved her arms underneath where Ishi and Ilie were hovering. Huh, no strings, not even fishing line.
She should probably go inside, Esen thought. No, she wasn't abysmally hungry, and the smell was not something she liked. She could, though, ask the cashier - in the most polite voice she felt she could use right now - what happened to the store she once thought sat there. Shrugging, she slowly made her way to the door... those were some strange balloons.

Gabbie had learned a most important lesson early on in her career as a Senshi. Do not take anything for granted and always keep your eyes open. Thus it was that during her walk, when she felt a familiar ripple of warning along her spine, she paid attention and found an inconspicuous place to stop and look around her. She noted the two kids her around her age who went into the fast food place. They were giving her that creepy thrill, so what was?
Pushing her long hair irritably from her eyes, she scanned the area, including the sky. And when she saw the Amazing Floating Duo, she felt her lips thin out into a grim line. Should she henshin up now or wait until the duo made a move? They could be harmless, but she doubted it.
Wait for it, she decided. Wait and see what they do.

One hand in the pouch pocket of her sweatshirt playing with her new cell (it was blind girl friendly~! Praise be to... Astraea?), one hand on a white cane sweeping and poking away at the ground before her, Lilith stuck close to the walls of the stores. Her teal sunglasses, as recently bought by her mother to match her phone (which made Lil oh so happy to then know what the colors even were), sat placidly on her face and served as the nice little shields they were supposed to. Because, really, she had to feel bad for the people who got freaked out by her lack of optical focusing.
At least it was a warm day out? The Crystal girl made her way quietly through the crowds, every now and then stopping into familiar stores to take a sniff of some candles or examine some new clothes for their fabrics and touch detectable designs to make a mental note where to next bring her mom on their shopping trips. Then back out to the streets with the tip of her cane tapping the brick, wood, stone, whatever the buildings were made of.
The scent of fast food struck her just as that tell-tale sense of foreboding trickled through her mind and veins. Her grip tightened on the useless stick, though her pace didn't falter. It felt like it was coming from up the block... near the food. What? Why was no one screaming? Each step had new thoughts racing around, a frown ticking away at her features as the smell of fried goods grew stronger. It was hard to focus on where her cane was going, even with the small sweeps she used with her mind off trying to figure exactly where the source of her unease was. A not too smart thing to do in a crowded street, really.

Ishi was sooooo happy. So very happy. Ilie may not like the humans, (he didn't like them at all. BAH! Nasty tasting humans!), but Ishi knew they needed them. The tree needed them. "So many icky icky humans Ilie. But don't worry okay? I'll steal their energy for you-er, for the tree! I even brought my cards!" He pulled them out of his hat to show her. "See! All of them!" He was bouncing like ball in the air. A loud, bouncing ball. "WHICH ONE? WHICHONEWHICHONEWHICHONE?" His flute was already in his other hand.

His enthusiasm was kind of grating sometimes, but really Ilie couldn't blame him. If they could drain the humans to death, that would be nice. She might even be jumping around and flailing too if that were true. Sadly, it wasn't, and she was left to deal with... well, half-dead humans staring at her.
The taller alien leaned over the cards. "Why do you slick your hair back like that," she asked, "it makes you look like a moron." Or a... what was that humans called them? Cue balls? She held up a card, grinning. "We'll use Mazke."

Azzo noticed a few things at once. First that the neon green haired girl looked familiar, she also vaguely sounded familiar. Azzo also noticed two other girls. One, happened to bump him with her stick.
"Oh... Opps." He said looking towards her, curiously. "I'm sorry."
He also looked up when he heard slicked back hair. Raising a brow. "Oh..." He shook his head, "Maybe because it sticks up like a porcupine if it's not slicked back." He didn't realize the floating girl was talking to her companion... brother? Something.
He was watching the card, however some weird thought washed over his mind. Why can't I feel them? I feel youma right? Or is that in my head.
He was still looking up. "Excuse me..." He said, "What are you anyways?" He was checking out the other civilians this wasn't going to be good. He was mentally checking the weight of his back pack, however he was hoping that in the small side alley there might be some useful tools if something where to happen.

She was just opening the first door to the indoor dining room of the (crappy) joint, when Esen heard some rather annoying noises that sounded like a little kid's joyful shout. If she could tell the source was somewhere at her level - that is, ground level - she probably wouldn't think much of it. It didn't sound like it was, though. To make sure she wasn't hearing things, she turned her eyes back toward the street and outdoor dining area.
The two balloons... they weren't balloons. They had movement like a normal human did (The duo would likely be ticked by this thought, despite its truth), and from her vantage point, they looked like they were holding something, though she wasn't quite sure. A boy around her age with black hair brushed off his face had also noticed them... what were they, anyway? Balloons didn't move like that, robots didn't move like that, and they didn't look like they were hung from anything, either, like for a movie shoot.
Either Earth's details had been changed around since her coma, or she'd have to figure it out herself. A quick jump confirmed that gravitational pull didn't have beans to do with this. On the street, Esen could see another girl, with her hair similarly colored and a darker complexion, also looking up, though not with a questioning expression; it was a mix of thought and anger. Did she know something? Maybe she should ask.
The previous thought of asking for directions was set aside. Instead, the short teenager decided to slowly walk out of the outdoor dining areas. All while watching the... what could they be called? ...them to figure out why they were up there. Step. By. Step. You could tell she was walking away because today's footwear of choice, a pair of random black boots she found in her older, wearable belongings, had a bit of weight to them. Esen also had a tote, one of those you could buy and use as a reusable grocery bag, but it didn't contain many things that would lend itself to being useful as a weapon - she didn't have any reason to take her computer out with her today, that was where all the good stuff was.

The creature that emerged in the swirl of flute music, was not a youma either, though neither did it seem particularly likely to answer Azzo's remarkably nonchalant question, when faced by floating people. In fact, from a short distance, other than the flashy (literally) arrival, he would have looked... pretty much normal if you didn't look too closely.
As the brilliant flare of light faded, a averaged sized man in an trench coat and fedora tugged lightly on the brim of his hat, as though to adjust it down, and reaching to lay a hand on the nearest civilian.
Up close, or on close inspection into the shadows cast by the brim of his hat was when this particular Cardian became particularly alarming. Although he seemed to navigate without any hesitation, there were no eyes in his face. In fact, there was no anything on his face, or what should have passed for one. Instead there was only a blank sheet of skin, with faint dips and curves to add a vague impression of where things SHOULD have been, and persisted in not being, regardless of whatever denial might run through viewers minds.
As far as Mazke was concerned, this was no particular inconvenience, and it would be quick enough to vanish into the crowd. He just needed to... borrow one.

Swearing softly under her breath as the swirl of flute music faded and the whatever it was in the trenchcoat appeared. She wasn't standing and waiting any longer to see what the three weirdos would do. She was moving, shoving her way past people to try and find a safe place to transform. The last thing she wanted to needed was to have some civilian see her change.
When she reached an empty alley, she sighed and murmured, "Saiph Power, Make-up!"
The warm, familiar rush of energy wrapped her in it's embrace and faded, leaving Sailor Saiph in Gabbie Ivanovich's place. Leaping up, she landed on a roof near the fast food joint. Another small series of leaps brought to to the roof of the dive and she landed in a crouch, one hand on the roof and the other flung out behind her and already curling into a fist.
Whether the bizarre duo had seen her or not was irrelevent. Keeping the peace and preventing a panicked stampede was her main goal.

Ishi bounced his way to the ground. "GO MAZKE! GET US SOME ENERGY!" Tubby hands grabbed a burger that a civilian had left behind while fleeing the new battle zone. He failed to notice the senshi on the scene, munching on the forgotten burger while shouting orders.

Mazke was of course, perfectly happy to oblige, and just as happy to steal someone's identity, more or less, while he was at it, which would make it more difficult to find him again in the crowd milling crowd, at least until some of them had a chance to disperse... or until someone noticed the differences between the original, and the copy, like the fact that the slightly chubby salary man's coat didn't match, or that one was smiling grimly through tightly pursed lips, reaching for another civilian as he did so to snatch energy in fits and gulps. Holding on too long drew attention. Attention was not how Mazke liked to work.
