Ayira Moonflow

Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare

Act II Scene II
A street.

Enter VIOLA, MALVOLIO following
MALVOLIO
Were not you even now with the Countess Olivia?

VIOLA
Even now, sir; on a moderate pace I have since
arrived but hither.

MALVOLIO

She returns this ring to you, sir: you might have
saved me my pains, to have taken it away yourself.
She adds, moreover, that you should put your lord
into a desperate assurance she will none of him:
and one thing more, that you be never so hardy to
come again in his affairs, unless it be to report
your lord's taking of this. Receive it so.

VIOLA

She took the ring of me: I'll none of it.

MALVOLIO
Come, sir, you peevishly threw it to her; and her
will is, it should be so returned: if it be worth
stooping for, there it lies in your eye; if not, be
it his that finds it.

Exit

VIOLA

I left no ring with her: what means this lady?
Fortune forbid my outside have not charm'd her!
She made good view of me; indeed, so much,
That sure methought her eyes had lost her tongue,
For she did speak in starts distractedly.
She loves me, sure; the cunning of her passion
Invites me in this churlish messenger.
None of my lord's ring! why, he sent her none.
I am the man: if it be so, as 'tis,
Poor lady, she were better love a dream.
Disguise, I see, thou art a wickedness,
Wherein the pregnant enemy does much.
How easy is it for the proper-false
In women's waxen hearts to set their forms!
Alas, our frailty is the cause, not we!
For such as we are made of, such we be.
How will this fadge? my master loves her dearly;
And I, poor monster, fond as much on him;
And she, mistaken, seems to dote on me.
What will become of this? As I am man,
My state is desperate for my master's love;
As I am woman,--now alas the day!--
What thriftless sighs shall poor Olivia breathe!
O time! thou must untangle this, not I;
It is too hard a knot for me to untie!

Exit

Personality:
Viola is soft spoken and relatively quite when you first meet her, preferring to observe others than actually partake in any action till she knows what to expect. However when she does choose to speak she has a tendency to speak her mind, even if it is blunt or hurtful, though it is never her intention to hurt anyone. She can be fun though, but she seems more serious than most, having dealt with a lot of pain. First the loss of her father and then the storm that stole her twin brother from her, it seems as though fate likes to play with her heart a lot. For this reason she has a tendency to dress like a boy to hide her emotions and fears behind a masculine mask (unlike the character in the play she isn’t always dressed like her male alter ego…just when things get too rough for her). She is a natural born leader, and doesn’t take well to someone trying to control her, and can even react in a violent way if they don’t back down. More than anything though she just wants to be loved and find something or someone to call hers.
Appearance:
Viola is a young girl with dark Auburn colored hair and eyes the color of the sea after a rough storm, sort of like a light green/grey. She has a tiny frame, which can help her pass for a girl or boy, after all she is only a little thing. Viola prefers to wear pants, white shirt, and a vest (typical for a pirate boy or sailor), but has been known to wear formal and exquisit looking dresses appropriate for a girl of her status. Her hands are slender and delicate looking, but don't let that fool you for she can deliver a mean punch to the eye if she has to. She is scrappy to say the least, but can be a delicate flower if the occasion arises, in short she seems like two people trapped in one body at times.

{My Life As I Know It}
>Ayira’s father was a very popular and successful lawyer, who loved and adored his daughters, denying them nothing in life. In fact one could say that Ayira and her little sister Shaylyn had the perfect childhood. That was until one of there father’s clients became a little too irate about him losing his case. In his rage he came to her father’s office and took a shotgun to not only Ayira’s father’s face killing him instantly, but unfortunately the nanny had called in sick that day so their father had brought Shaylyn with him, and she got caught in the cross fire. The client was clinically insane, for right after this he shot himself, no one saw this horrible event happening, least of all Ayira.

She was still very young when this happened, and seemed to fall into a deep shock that lasted for a couple months. When she finally came to she began the horrible cycle of being bounced from one relatives home to another, till she was 13 and one of her rich Aunts took her in and decided to raise her with as much love as the old woman could muster.

This Aunt was from Ayira's mother's side of the family, a side Ayira knew little about since her mother had died giving birth to Shaylyn and the family blamed her father. They said he pushed too hard for a baby boy and forced Ayira's mother into a difficult pregnancy. None of that mattered to her Aunt though, she showered Ayira with love and affect, though it seemed hard at first since the young girl was so black inside.

Luckily for Ayira her Aunt was a notorious lover of the Theatre, and through her Ayira finally seemed to find where she belonged in life once more. It seemed the young girl had a knack for The Performing Arts, and was soon enrolled in one of the countries top Performing Arts Schools where she flourished. Gaining leading lady roles and making friends, generally coming out of her shell more.

Upon graduation from college she was soon hit with another hard blow, the death of her loving Aunt. She died of a heart-attack while Directing a Play at a local playhouse. At the funeral Ayira was named the sole heir of her entire fortune, which needless to say was quite a lot. Though this meant nothing to Ayira, she would have traded it all to have her Aunt back.

Since then Ayira has been looking for a Theatre to call her new home, a failing one she can help bring back to life with her talent and her money. She feels this will some how be a fitting way to remember her Aunt. Ayira stumbled across "The West Theatre" and the Vassar brothers by accident, but she has made it her mission to help them and the Theatre, whether they like it or not!<

{This Is Me!}
>Ayira is very reserved and deep acting when you first meet her, and may in turn act that way to someone for as long as they know her, it depends solely on what she thinks of the "character" of the person. She takes the Theatre very seriously, so if your there to "play around" or "waste time" you better not let Ayira know, or she'll rip a hole straight through you while stealing any self respect you have left. That's not to say she is all work and no fun, in fact to her true friends she is a blast. Cracking jokes, flirting with boys, all around a normal girl of her age and status. Ayira just takes life a bit more serious than others most of the time. Oh and she is very nervous around children, since the whole situation with her little sister, she prefers not to get to close to them. It hurts when a loved one or friend dies, but its tragic when it is a child, and she doesn't think she could ever go through that again.<
