Volkaz'jin was back in search of that basket he saw. Not many girls had been about so thinking he should check on his new friend he started to head that wya. Mind you he had not found any sugar cubes to bring with him... but at least he would have something to talk to?
keeping an eyeout Volkaz'jin kept looking around for the basket

 Ziya had exploded out of her basket with a somersault. While she found her legs still fresh and uncoordinated it didn't stop her from bouncing excitedly around the snow covered meadow. It was early in the morning and her parents had not yet woken to the sound of their new foal whose footsteps were quieted in the snow. It didn't take Ziya long to remember that sweet taste she had experienced the day before. She wanted more and with no sense of danger or fear she set off following her nose to the scent of what she thought was the sugar bringer.

Volkaz'jin watched as a young foal, still unsteady on her hooves, came twards him. a perverted smile crossed his face before being replaces with a sweet smile. his eyes never leaving the young girl... who looked like the basket he was talking to. Oh if this was what came out his efforts had been worth it!
"'ello!" he called out as the female came closer, "''cha doing 'round here?"

Ziya lifts her head from the scent she had been following. She blinks her eyes unsure at first then with a nod she walks up to the other foal.
"You!" She looks confident as she steps up to him but then stumbles at his feet, her new legs giving out on her, "Arghhhh" She tries to steady herself, glaring angrily at her legs.
"You had that... "present" ya? That was you?"

Volkaz'jin bit his lower lip so that he didn't laugh at the other foal. Not that he wanted to be mean, but watching someone stumble like he did was kinda fun. After she proclaimed about the present he nodded, "yar, it was me." he nodded smiling at her.
"not present, sugar cubes! thems the treats ta two-legger's be givin' to us." he said, sticking out his chest a little, with pride of knowing about the cubes of sweet sweet goodness

Ziya looks confused for a moment then straightens herself more. "Momma was talkin bout two leggers."
She sniffs at him. "So you dun have no more?" She furrows her brow then tries to bonk her nose into his shoulder, seeming frustrated.
"Where are the two leggers?" She stamps her hoof in the snow. "Lets go find em!"

Volkaz'jin was thinking for a moment. He knew this would be the start of the time to put on the charm on Ziya, but he could also score them both some sugar cubes. It was perfect, two skulls with one hammer.
"This way," He said as he started to where he knew one of the two-legger dwelled. "yeh see, two-legger's livin' all over. and they use 'em cubes ta gettin' close to us four-leggers. but we be smarter 'cuz we gettin' 'em with out them two-leggers" Volkaz'jin was walking a bit slow, knowing that Ziya was not to stable on her hooves yet he did not want her to fall and get hurt.

Ziya walks along beside him, getting more confident on her legs as she goes. "What these two leggers look like?" She flicked her ears around, noticing how quiet it was in the early morning snow.
"I think I remember seein them once... before the sugar." She closes her eyes trying to remember and stumbles over a root in the snow. "Ooof!" She tumbles forward, her front legs splaying out in front of her.

Volkaz'jin stopped as Ziya stumbled, he was not able to catch her on her way down. "'ere" he said, moving to her side and used his head to help push her up from the middle. Helping to get her up and settled on her four hooves before trying to walk off again.
"Gotta be careful of 'em roots... hard ta see with snow coverin' the land."

Ziya let him help her get back to her feet, she didn't seem to notice how silly she looked. She wobbled a bit on her legs for a moment, her knees feeling weak at first. "Thanks." She steadied herself, took a couple steps and finding her legs to be strong she continued on.
She wasn't sure where they were going so she walked at his side letting him lead though she wanted to try to run again, that was fun. "Where are these two-leggers? Not far I hope!" As she said it a teepee came into view through the trees.
"What's that? What a funny looking tree!" She stared at the teepee trying to figure out what it could be. "Why is it tan and what do those symbols mean? Is it a wise old tree? Its so big." She rambled on as she walked up to it and put her nose right against it, taking a sniff. "Doesn't smell like a tree."

"now now calm down there" He smiled watching her. She was so active, fresh from the basket not knowing much about the world around her. not that Volkaz knew a lot, but at least he knew a little more then her.
"See 'ere, thats where the two-legger's be livin'and thems ain't trees." he nodded to the teepees, "called typies or something. its protection from the weather, and" he looked at her with a wink, "where thems keep the sugar cubes."
Volkaz'jin stopped and turned twards Ziya, "alright, sos, we needs to be quiet like, kay? 'cuz them there two legger's duun like us in thems homes. but first wes watch, and when they step out, we can sneaks in there and grab 'em." turning back to the teepee he settled down to watch, and wait.

Ziya stared at the teepees for a minute listening to Vol explain what they were. "I wouldn't want to live in one of those." She fidgeted beside him, not sure she liked the idea of waiting. She bounced and turned towards him. "Lets play a game while we wait."
Squinting at him in the shade of the trees she looked him over more closely now "I heard wez supposed to have names... I think they wants to call me Zi.. Zi... Ziya? Whats your name?" She fidgeted more. "And whats that on your face?"

"I's know tis hard to sit for a 'ittle but it be worth it!" Volkaz'jin could have smacked himself. ah well, its not that she was old enough to know plesentries yet, right? so he was still in the safe zone, "I'ma Volkaz'jin. Tis what me parents named me." he was proud of his name, after all it was not everyday someone was named after the great troll leader.
"What, thems?" nods to his tusks, "Thems be meh teeth, called tusks. It be because I am troll"

"Vol.. Volka.. Iz call you Vol mk." She nodded to make it so. She sniffed at his tusks getting in close, not really aware of personal boundaries yet. "Tusks? Whats a troll?" She peered inquisitively at him. "Is it something special?" She blinked down at her own face. "I don't have tusks." She frowned slightly thinking they looked good on him and fancying a pair for herself.
