It was just a usual day in the Seireitei with nothing unusual happening aside from the random shouts from the adjacent squads which would indicate some sort of training exercise. Out of all the squads in the Gotei 13, the one which seemed the most dead was the ninth squad. It had used to be hustling and bustling with so much activity, but at some point in time, everything changed and now the entire squad was nearly deserted, save a few people who might have passed by in front of the squad gates from time to time.
People who may have walked past this place basically ignored the well-kept, yet lifeless, structures which adorned the compound. Whatever happened to the captain, the vice captain, and all of the members was a mystery. Some have been transferred to other squads while some have seemingly disappeared overnight. It was just like a horror story, but everyone was oblivious of it. Then again, it did provide for the perfect setting for something big without anyone even noticing that it was happening.
As quick as a flash, the dimensions around the squad distorted, but it happened so fast that nobody would be able to notice it while those who did would just shrug it off as a mind trick. In reality though, a powerful force had manipulated the outer dimensions of the squad so that it would only display a fixed, unchanging picture of the squad right before everything else happened.
With the first phase done, a dimensional hole opened up above the squad and spout out three gigantic crystal obelisks, IMPLANTAs; the same ones that were found all over the world. These obelisks fell down onto the unsuspecting structures, destroying the very foundations of the once grandeur buildings. However, the devastation itself was silent since even the sound of their destruction was hidden behind a clever illusion. It was fortunate that nobody got hurt, since there was nobody around to be hurt in the first place, but in the end, only the obelisks, a few small buildings and the gardens were the only things either unscathed and left standing or slightly damaged.
Now that the obelisks were here, a lone figure in a long, white coat with a hood covering most of the person's head emerged from the dimensional hole following suit after the obelisks had settled themselves into the soil of the Seireitei. As soon as the figure landed on the ground, the person looked up. "It begins," the figure worded silently.

The figure in the white cloak with a hood sat patiently among the trees near the garden as if waiting for something to appear right out of the blue which it did. In a spacial distortion small enough to fit a few people into, three young knights, female knights to be exact, stepped out of the void near the place where the figure sat. The figure, in turn, greeted them with a small gesture of success -- a thumbs -- which the three female knights smiled at and accepted as something quite significant. After all, without their skills and cooperation, they would not have been as successful as they were with the main goal of this secret occupation: to seal away the chambers of the former Central 46 and quarantine the Spirit King; and all this done without anyone knowing about it.
The three female knights, obviously exhausted from their mission, took off their armors and helmets to reveal their faces and their white,one-piece bikini-like standard issue INVOKER underwear. Each of the three had different colored hair: one had long, fiery red hair; the other one also had long hair, but this time it was blue and she preferred to tie it to make a pony tail; and the last one had shorter green hair compared to the other two which reached up to her shoulders. The three female knights were all quite the pretty ladies, but what really set them apart though was that they always seemed to be smiling and they tend to immediately wear shades over their eyes as soon as they took off their helmets.
They smiled at each other, patting each other on the back for a job well done and saying that they earned a little bit of rest and relaxation after which they giggled and laughed as they trooped out in the direction of where the squad's pool was, undamaged and still very well maintained.
"Hey, you did great, Ave!" shouted the green-haired woman to the red-head as she proceeded to pat her on the back.
"It was nothing, Riah. That is part of our job. We are not allowed to fail and we pride ourselves on excellence and a hundred percent success rate," she replied.
"Give yourself some credit, Ave! Well, regardless of that, at least we earned ourselves some rest. I can't wait to hit the pool!" the blue-haired woman exclaimed excitedly.
"Haha, you just want to play again! You're such a slacker, Emma!" Riah jeered before the three of them laughed out loud again. The figure, while all this happened, just sat there under the shade and worded once more. "Happiness is such a wonderful thing. If it is sometimes lost, it can be reacquired when you finally meet the right people."

((This happens some time after the confrontation with Jan-sama at Karakura Town.))
The hooded man stood up, feeling that his cloak was now inappropriate. He pulled back the hood that covered his face and removed the article of clothing from his body, revealing the man in white to be none other than Xeion Kuchiki himself. He was back at his own squad barracks where he had once held a position as its captain. Fond memories of times past rushed to his head when he saw the three women having fun at the nearby pool where he himself used to enjoy sunny days in. He smiled, thinking that even with such tragic pasts, these women showed no sign of suffering and simply looked forward in the hopes of a brighter future. Revenants truly were the most optimistic of all races in existence.
"Be careful now, you hear?" Xeion shouted, smiling as he did. Finding a cool place where he could relax for a while, the former captain of squad nine sat down and began to lie down under the oak tree he had loved so well and slept under a couple of times. The grass was still as comfy as ever as if it was waiting for him to lie down on them once again. Looking up, he saw the beautiful rays of sunlight shining down from the small gaps in the leaves of the tree he was lying down. He smiled at this and thought that if he did not have something more important to do, he would just opt to stay here and rest.
It had been several days after the Spirit King descended onto Earth and by now, he was probably seeing just how much carnage and destruction the war between humans and Genesis had done onto the planet. It was a necessary part, albeit one which put a great strain into Xeion's heart. For the corruption to be purified, one must first bring it out and allow it to grow in the presence of the bleakest of situations until such a time that the corruption becomes the physical embodiment of despair. If only there was another way, he would do so. However, he knew -- all of them at Genesis knew -- that this was the fastest way to do it and the only way which would not put too much risk into the other dimensions and strain the fragile cosmic balance.

Waking up from his accidental nap, Xeion saw that the three women he was with, along with some of their Knight guards, were all ready for the next part of their mission here. Standing himself up and straightening himself, Xeion nodded; a silent signal to everyone that was there that they would be implementing the final stage of the mission now. The destruction on earth, from what he had assumed, would probably be unimaginable by now and meant that the Spirit King was already going on a rampage.
All of the Knights, including himself, then formed a circle in the middle of the ruined squad nine barracks to begin initiating a dimensional shift. Their plan was to transfer the entire squad nine, a piece of the spirit world, to earth and complete the representations of the universal triumvirate: heaven, earth, and void. In doing so, they could initiate a sublimation on a massive scale and thus put them in the best position to reach out to the souls of the other people who survived aside from those who chose to willingly sublimate themselves.
Squad nine's entire area became enveloped in a hazy mist as it disconnected itself from the dimension it was in. Then, after completing its disconnection, the entire squad disappeared into thin air, leaving nothing but an empty lot behind. The dimensional barrier, too, disappeared to let everyone see that the entire squad nine barracks was gone and wonder as to what might have caused something like that.
