"Stop.." Gasp. "I said stop! Just wait..." Huff. "Wait.." Huffgasp. "HOLD UP, YOU BLASTED-"
Just as prettyboy Rhett Landers was about to let loose a line of choice words at the feline-like mechanical beast that was scaling a relatively steep cliffside in front of him. Bounding from one rock outcropping to the next instead of the narrow path that the human was forced to take, it stopped short, and Rhett nearly ran into the back of Arrow, the caracal-like organoid. Unfortunately for Rhett, running into the back of the organoid would make him a bit more than a pincushion.
The caracal's bladed tail twitched, waiting for Rhett to finish that statement.
The male sighed amidst catching his breath, huffing heavily. He raised a defeated hand and dropped his head. "Never.." huff "...mind.."
Then I suggest you hurry up. Was the snide, but off-ish remark, the feline's voice utterly ancient.. much like the dragons heard by a few before him.
Eventually, the pair reached the ledge, and as Rhett looked down the other side, there was a gentle trail which lead up the other way that would have been easily accessible from the bottom.
Rhett looked from the trail, to Arrow, and back to the trail. "....Really?" and then promptly collapsed backwards, landing on his behind with a heavy, exhausted thud. Unfortunately for him, he was in full view of far too many potential outcroppings. Though he'd left the military under illegal measures, he'd been in it long enough to know what types of brush cover small bases would like best.
"We're too obvious." The male commented, though with the sweat rolling down his brow, he didn't look like he was readily willing to move. "And did we have to leave so suddenly? You didn't even let me pack matches, a light.. a blanket.." Not only were they on an obviously traveled trail, it was also growing dark quickly, and cool evening air blew upwards from the moist, jungle-like landscape below. The clouds above threatened rain, which added another problematic angle to the situation.
You'll be fine. The cat sat, red eyes and markings along his shoulders and hip armor glowing eerily in the diming light.
Rhett sighed, though as he fell backwards, arms folded behind his head, he looked upwards, searching for a break in the clouds. He coughed a light laugh of sorts.
It begins again.

Above the trees the large bio zoid roamed standing tall above the trees, and being hidden by the large rocks and hoodoos. The zoid came out in the open as it's partial protection opened up into a large cliff face with more trees behind.
Dangerous low growl came from the mechanized dragon, though as Rhett looked up a large foot would have come down right beside him, very close beside him. The Zoid paused causing Marcia to look up from the map...
"What is it?" she asked. had been a few weeks now since she'd met Kai, and a bout a week after she'd met quin again. There was even a town nearby she was headed too for more supplies.
The massive zoid looked to his feet.
"You nearly stepped on them..." she pointed out.
The zoid grumbled I know. he answered arrogantly They were simply ants to him. And unimportant. Why should he bother with those at his feet out here? His piercing red eyes stared menacingly at the two as though he was going to eat them.
Marcia sighed and shook her head. Had she glanced at the radar before she could have prevented that; unless he really did want to step on something that is... she was thankful he hadn't actually been squished.
"Sorry about that." she said as the cockpit opened. "He doesn't like people getting in his way."

Arrow looked beyond Rhett and slightly upwards, but made no other obvious reaction to the giant zoid. Thus, when a very large clawed foot landed a mere meter, or perhaps even closer, to his side, he was taken utterly by surprise.
So much for being a hyper-aware bountyhunter, able to react instantly to any situation to survive, eh?
Rhett rolled up onto his shoulders and pushed off to jump up to his feet and whirl around to stare at that massive draconic talon. His gaze would slowly shift upwards, gawking almost stupidly at the gigantic beast that quite literally snuck up on him.
"You could have said something..." He grumbled towards the feline some feet behind him.
I could have. Was the response.
The man had no survival supplies on his person. No ropes, backpacks, blankets, a coat.. nothing. He was, however, coated in weaponry. Knives, pistols, and a variety of other things were strapped to belts crisscrossed about his being. His hands didn't fly to any particular one, however. Instead, when Marcia opened the cockpit and shouted down to him, a hand raised to scratch at the back of his head, embarrassed. His eyes closed for a moment, and a proverbial sweatdrop rolled down the side of his face.
"It's alright!" The man seemed pleasant enough, despite his accessories. "That's quite a zoid you have there." He wasn't much into zoid battling and such of that nature, or at least to this point he wasn't. His fighting targets tended to be much more squishy. "You wouldn't happen to know where exactly we are, would you?" There was an odd desperation about that, as if he'd been wandering in a particular direction, without a particular known destination.

"You have quite the friend there yourself." she answered motioning to the cat organoid. She also took note of the heavy artillery he was carrying out here with naught but Weaponry, no supplies either. The kid must be insane climbing with all that weight.
At least he wasn't squished.. she would have had to clan the bottom of the zoid's claw if he had been underneath...
Marcia chuckled he really wasn't well prepared "I'm heading to a small town just past these cliffs." she told him. She'd just come from that way, there was nothing there bur forest and more sand and cliffs. "There isn't much here, do you know where you're going?" she asked

"A small town? Is it controlled by a faction?" Blunt and to the point, apparently he isn't very good at keeping his need for anonymisity a secret. After a pause as he looked over the cliff they had been heading up in the most difficult of fashions, then to Arrow, and back upwards.
"No.. no I can't say I do." He scratched his head, looking almost sheepish in his somewhat silly expression. "He does though. I've just been following. He doesn't give me much time to get prepared. We just move when the need arises." What need, he doesn't know that either.
The caracal organoid stared at the zoid in distaste, and it was exasterabated by some other dislike that couldn't be pinpointed. He hated the fact that his senses had been deactivated for so long. It took so much time to reactivate the sensors that months would go by before he could target his true targets fully once again.
"Oh, him?" A weird look passed over the man's face, as if pointing out the cat was more of a problem than a compliment. "I wouldn't call him that.. exactly..." And neither would Arrow.
"You wouldn't mind some company would you? I could use a shower.." And some food and water. He isn't exactly the swiftest partner Arrow's ever had.

"It's in Republic territory but it's on the edge so not particularly, ever since the Republic kid was murdered they've been more on edge than normal." The incident had spread fast throughout the Rogues considering they were now targets of Both the Imperial and Republic Army. Poor Kid though not a good way to go either.
He didn't know where he was going? How unprepared was this kid? She would have sighed. She glanced to the cat Organoid, The kid was following him? Was it an ancient? Maybe. But you couldn't tell usually until something happened, Agumo could probably tell, she'd ask him latter.
"What would you call him exactly then?" Marcia inquired if not exactly a friend.
There was the town after all "Want a lift to the town?" she asked, she wouldn't mind the company but Catastrophe was a little touchy when it came to other people or Zoids.

Rhett made an odd, almost obviously guilty face. He grit his teeth, losing that pretty-boy smile and glanced apprehensively at Arrow who stared at him- or, more seemingly, stared right through him. It was a weird 'partnership' to someone watching. It was as if Arrow cared nothing for the man, and as if Rhett was either afraid of the cat, or worried about its intentions.
"I.. I don't know if I should head that direction." There was an uncomfortable pause as something was said between the two, and Rhett appeared to be on the defensive. "But you heard the news.." Apparently he was talking to the cat. "But what would- But I.. What if?.." Sigh.. "Alright, fine.."
He forced a smile, though it was quite weakened at this point. "I suppose I could use the trip." ...Republic or not, he'd mutter to himself at the tailend of that statement.
"I'd call him a nuisance. Yeah, that'd be about right." Rhett shrugged, and the organoid didn't seem surprised, ashamed or offended. In fact, he seemed to expect or perhaps appreciate the remark.
"Does it mind?" He motioned a hand to the terrifying-appearing zoid that towered above him and darn near squashed him in his moment of exasperation a few moments earlier. "I can walk it, as long as I'm not follow him." His free hand waved at the caracal organoid. "He tends to go the most direct route, regardless of rivers, mountains, oceans.." He chuckled, but he wasn't joking.

A strange way to put it. She thought. It seemed as though they didn't care for each other too much, but then who knew really. As They seemed to be having a private conversation she chuckled they were friends, despite it all.
"Well you and your 'nuisance seem to be doing fairly well if you do that." considering the amount of weapons he carried and lack of food she was partially surprised he hadn't died yet. Marcia reached into her bag and tossed him a granola bar. "Here." When was the last time he ate?
"He minds," she smirked, "but he won't do anything as long as you sit on the outside." Marcia gave a nod "It's not that far out." she said and besides she still had to hide Catastrophe before she even entered town.

Arrow lifted one metallic ear as if he was listening with some concept of curiosity, but he lacked any sort of response and his red gaze drifted into the distance, so who knows what the aloof organoid had been actually paying attention to.
Rhett was caught slightly by surprise by the granola bar, his hands automatically snapping up to catch it, but he fumbled. Butterfingers gropped at air for a few awkward miliseconds before the bar clattered to the ground. One could only hope he's better at his job than everyday life.
Yet another proverbial sweatdrop would have run down the side of his face as he flushed slightly before leaning down to scoop it up and dust it off. "Uh, thanks!" Awkward smile followed awkward fumble as he stepped forward with some degree of caution towards the monstrous zoid.
In given the option between getting squished by a rather cool looking zoid, or getting eaten alive by bugs out here in the wilderness while Arrow drags him around him hopeless circles, he decided he'd chose the former. At least it'd be a more heroic story for the afterlife.
"Where'd you get a zoid like this?" As Arrow looked on blankly, Rhett let his more laid-back curiosity go- especially assuming that he'd at some point clamber up onto a shoulder beside the head-oriented cockpit if female pilot had it bend down for him. He would also tear into that granola bar and munch it with much quiet pleasure. Ah, sitting and food. The simple pleasures of life.

A low growl came from the great zoid as the boy took a step closer.
It wasn't polite to keep talking down to the guy. Catastrophe lowered his head allowing Marcia to hop out. "Him." she gave a mysterious smile, "That's a secret," As perhaps it should be, come to think of it only Ander knew about how she'd come across this Zoid.
The Sun was shifting in the sky, "Ah that's right" Marcia said as she had just remembered something "There is a base on the other side of the village, I just recalled it." perhaps it was the one he was looking for. He was pretty far off track though, the organoid would no doubt get him there eventually. It seemed to enjoy making him go through quite a bit.
The cat seemed to be looking far away like it sensed something distant. Marcia could only guess at what it was.

Even though the odd young man had originally seemed hesitant, or even nervous, just a moment ago, the growl from the enormous zoid seemed to go in one ear and out the other. Those gold eyes of his gleam up at Marcia, and his naturally charming- if a bit goofy- smile stretches genuinely across his face as she hops out of the cockpit.
"A secret? That's too bad." He had a funny edge to his voice, but nothing about him seemed suspicious, simply disappointed perhaps.
Arrow's interest (if you could call it interest) shifted, transferring his glowing red gaze across the gigantic zoid, as if assessing him mechanically, determining if there is something important he needs to take out of this interaction that's inhibiting him from continueing his direct A-to-B path. More likely, he's searching for zoidian traces connected to the Zoid itself. Could it be an ancient thing? Or perhaps does it have future zoidian-created organoid potential? Either would flip a destructive switch, but more than likely Arrow would not respond yet. If Catastrophe did have potential for bonding a special organoid, he would rather find the organoid th easier way.
Lazy cat.
Rhett happened to glance up at the sky to notice the shifting sun, though the time of day didn't hold him to much, and meeting Marcia is likely the most interesting thing that has happened to him in a week or so. Her realization of the base location should have evoked a reaction, but he carefully controlled the wave of nausea that krept over him at the thought of a military base. "Well, a town with or without a base sounds like a plan." A crumb or two would be lost in the process of talking, and a hand would quickly pop up to wipe his face. He would love to talk more at length on his intents and purposes- if he had a clue, and if it was something he was allowed to talk at length about.
"So, where are you from? Can't imagine you're in any large cities with a zoid like him. You'd cause quite a show." Subject change, anyone?

Catastrophe's red eyes shifted glaring down at the organoid he didn't like being stared at like that. Something continued to hold him back as he'd quite rather simply pick up the organoid and crush it in his long skeletal claws. All he could do right now was simply glare and growl, but Catastrophe was hardly ever not irritated or growling when there was others around.
"I usually leave him a good distance away before going anywhere populated." she explained, it was true it would and has always been impossible to go anywhere in either the republic or Imperial Territory with such a large zoid, Timing was a necessity to get over boarders, however she took the zoid into town once to flush out some Rogues who where following her...
It worked pretty well, they quit following her however after a few days there where more after The large bone zoid. Then again she'd managed to flush out quite a few rogues instead of just one gang.

Arrow was probably one of the few who recently met the monstrous Zoid known as Catastrophe that seemed entirely unphased. He simply sat there, and curled his languid bladed tail around his left side. This zoid was different though, he knew. But zoids in general were not of his concern. They were, in fact, a nuisance in most situations. Kind of backwards for an organoid. Were they not created to enhance zoids? Apparently not this one.
Rhett was amused, and such amusement lit the corners of his golden eyes- eyes that (if one were paying attention) seemed to match a little too well to Arrow's armor. And that cat-scratch-like tattoo on his face matched just a little too well to Arrow's shoulder and hip markings. The pair seemed almost human/mechanic mirrors of each other, aside from their starkly constrasting personalities.
Should Marcia be thinking too deeply about it, one might assess that this couldn't possibly be a 'normal' human-finds-organoid situation. Especially considering there's no zoid involved.
Rhett's amusement stemmed from the fact that Marcia seemed about as unwilling to share personal information as he was. That simply sparked curiosity as he studied her for a moment more, before folding his hands behind his head, interlocking his fingers and stretching his back in an idle motion to play off his suspicions.
"What brings you out this way, then? Going back home, or perhaps going to cause terror in the hearts of young children with your friend here?" He'd continue, perhaps, to ask joking questions until he could pick out something about this now-mysterious girl.

Arrow was unphased it seemed and catastrophe didn't like that, he was used to things being at least a little uneasy in situations like this.
Marcia's eye brow raised for a moment the guy seemed amused about something, She'd noticed the marking on Rhett but when she finally did get a look at the Cat he seemed to have the same marking. Curious, perhaps she'd think more on it latter, but it was still curious, he had an organoid but no zoid, at least nothing that Catastrophe seemed to find.
A smile came to Marcia as he joked "I'd love to go village raising" she joked back "but unfortunately I need supplies so I', Just here for Restock," she answered "Just finished a job south of here, it was nothing too spectacular either." She motioned to the southern part of the desert. "This was the closet town." It should be a sufficient answer, she'd rather not give out the details about this one, or the fact she was heading to meet another rogue withing the next few days she'd rather not have a follower, so her answer was mostly true.

"A job?" Rhett prompted. He'd keep trying, and continue to be nonchalant about it. He was such a laid back, silly and clumsy guy. The weapons all over him just seemed out of place and awkward. The return of his joke had kept his smile in tact.
You are wasting time flirting.
Rhett's lips twitched as he almost let Arrow's comment get to him.
Either get the ride out of your new girlfriend or let us keep moving, and get rid of her.
Time sensitive, blah blah. Arrow was always going on about how sitting idle too long was costing him his future, and infringing on the organoid's point of being- which always remained a mystery. Unable to return a snide remark, the man continued as if nothing had been said. Though his gaze had unfocused during the coversation- the only hint that it had taken place.
If you take much longer, I will take care of her.
The threat was not empty, and Rhett knew it well- from experience. This organoid was not like other organoids. He was an entirely separate and independant- and dangerous- zoidian organic mechanism. He did not work in conjunction with zoids. He himself was the weaponry.
"We should get moving, yes?" Rhett kept his voice as light and joking as if Arrow had said nothing at all. It was fortunate organoids didn't speak out loud, he thought. "Get you your supplies, get me a shower." He lifted a corner of his shirt and sniffed it, making an over-exaggerated disgusted face, ended with a sidelong smirk.
