Distinguishing marks: Her right eye is red as the result of being cudgeled in the eye before her death, the blood resulting in the manipulation of her eye's pigmentation.

Appearence: Rin, despite a small build, has a powerful presence in any room or area. She has long red hair, usually tied up into a ponytail or braid, to keep it out of her face. She has a heart-shaped face with deep set eyes and a petite nose and mouth. Her complexion is rather pale, despite the fact that she always spends most of her time outside rather than in. At first glance she seems rather bony and frail, but she is quite strong her her size and will send you flailing fifty feet away.

Is their soft spot obvious, why/why not: If she's in the Rukongai, it pretty much is. Otherwise no.
Biggest Vulnerability: She can't swim and is terrified of water; she is also terrified of getting close to people
Background: The only thing Rin remembers about the World of the Living is that her mother hated her. She remembers her mother taking one of her father's golf clubs, and she remembers running, knowing that it would be she that would get hit. But she was chased, and cornered by the river that she never learned to swim in. She felt rather than saw the club smash into her eye, propelling her backwards into the water. With her good eye she could see the blood from her injured one in the water, as her lungs constricted for oxygen but to no avail. The girl literally watched ehr life bleed away from her.
And then she was in the Rukongai, her eye permanently damaged beyond repair, red in colour. She remained alone for a long time, her odd eyes making her the source of much suspicion. But then, there was someone who helped her escape when she was stealing from a vendor. Yuki was a gentle boy, but was seen as cold to others around him. Highly intelligent, he knew that it would be safer for both of them in a pair, especially in a place like the 77th district of the Rukongai. After finally agreeing to be partners, the two were inseparable, their might as a team earning them the nicknames of 'the fire and ice demons.'
But, not all was well. Yuki was somewhat sickly, and his illness caught up with him, leaving him bedridden. Frightened, Rin wanted to get him help, but he assured her that it happened from time to time, and that he always turned out okay.
But not this time.
He passed away before her very eyes, and she again watched the life bleed out of someone. Heartbroken, she attacked some of the other residents, and was stopped by a Shinigami. That Shinigami recognized her abilities and recruited her, promising that if she signed up at the Academy, he wouldn't turn her in as 'dangerous.' As she entered and proved herself to be highly adept at whatever they threw at her, she was noticed by a minor noble family, the Kurosawa, and was adopted, finally receiving a last name after abandoning her old one long ago.

~For starters, Rin would like to change the way she views other people- she'd like to befriend some people, and she wishes he could get rid of her paranoia when it coes to getting close
~She cannot stand her eyes. She wishes they weren't so obvious, and hates when people stare.
~Her violent tendencies bother her sometimes, and she really dislikes the fact that her squad is terrified of her.
~Rin wishes she weren't so small, as her height leaves most underestimating her, something she hates.

Zanpakuto name: Hikaru no Hime
Zanpakuto sealed Appearance: A short wakizashi, with a hilt of a bright orange-red. It sits at her waist, not really looking like much.
Shikai Appearance: Wrist guards and ankle guards with tubes that come off of them, and when the abilities are activated, flames spout out of the tubes, allowing her flight and to attack with flames; earning her Shikai the nickname of 'the Flaming Butterfly,' for she truly does look like one when she flies in the air with flame trailing her hands and feet.
Shikai Release Command: "Burn time and scorch destiny, Hikaru no Hime!"
Shikai Abilities: Increased speed, with highly enhanced power due to the push of the flames. It also gives her flight, and she can manipulate the flames that come off of her wrist and ankle guards.
Bankai Appearance: Flaming butterfly wings, with gauntlets on her arms that flames spout out of.
Bankai Release Command: "Bankai, Moeru Yoo na - chou, Hikaru no Hime!"
Bankai Abilities: Firing flaming pillars and/or fireballs from her cannons, As well as being able to dive and slice and burn with her gigantic wings.
