It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day, so It’s time for a… biggrin biggrin Harry Potter Limerick Contest! biggrin biggrin 
Send 100 gold to Accio Funds to enter. Everyone that enters earns 5 House Points!
What is a limerick?
Limericks are funny Irish poems with 5 lines, each one a certain number of syllables:
8 syllables
8 syllables
5 syllables
5 syllables
8 syllables
The lines that are 8 syllables rhyme with each other, and the lines that are 5 syllables rhyme with each other.
Here’s an example (author unknown):
There once was a man from Peru
Who dreamed he was eating his shoe.
He woke in the night
With a terrible fright
To find it was perfectly true.
rofl
You might notice in this one the pattern goes 8, 8, 5, 6, 8 instead of the standard 8, 8, 5, 5, 8. Poets sometimes take creative license, and you can too as long as only one line is off the correct syllable count.
The rules:
Write your own original limerick that is somehow related to Harry Potter. It could be about any of the characters, relationships, places, scenes, etcetera.
Post your entry (only enter one limerick) in this thread by St. Patrick’s Day, Wednesday, the 17th of March. You may edit your entry as often as you wish before that date.
Label your post with a number. If you are the first person to post an entry, then put a 1 above your poem. If you’re the fifth entry, then put a 5 above your poem. Etcetera.
The Winner:
I will roll dice in this thread to determine the winner a day or two after the 17th. (That’s why all of the people entering have to number their posts. wink )
The winner will receive an extra 10 House Points and 2,000 gold from Accio Funds.

I was going to roll dice to determine the winner today. I'd planned on doing it sooner, but then my grandfather passed away and it slipped my mind. sad
However, I see that vballlvr5 didn't know that she could post her limerick (only one since it's one entry per Haven'er) as soon as she sent the trade to Accio, so I won't do it yet.
Everyone, don't worry about Accio Funds not accepting the trades yet. As soon as you send the trade you can post your entry. LadyHealingHands has to log into Accio to accept them since she's the only one with Accio's password.
I'll roll the dice a few days from now, okay? whee Others can still enter!
