It's pretty straightforward. Just list a few of your favorite Mario and/or Legend of Zelda games (full titles please), what console they're played on, and some reasons why you like them. If you want, you can even list some details about the game plots, villains, storylines, etc.

My list:
-Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64)
-Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES & Online game sites (flash))
-Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64)
-Legend of Zelda: Four Swords (Nintendo Gamecube)

For zelda it's pretty easy:
Majora's Mask
Twilight Pincess
Windwaker (Deserves it's own console iteration inter-quel placed between PH and ST... Right after a game where TP link goes to Termina!)

For mario games, it's a bit harder to sort them into a particular order.
The yoshi's Island pair and paper mario series were definate favorites with me, but the 3D titles are also awesome and do not dissapoint.

As for mario universe games without mario in the title. Luigi's Mansio is definately where it is at. And I'm hoping E3 holds a big reveal for that.

StarFox wii, Zelda Wii, Pikmin 3[wii], and Luigi's Mansion 2[Wii] are my big hopes.
