As of today, Maha had been traveling for a little more than three weeks. So far her quest to find a suitable male to solve her and Udo's problem with cubs had not been fruitful. However she was determined not to return home until she was certain she was with cub. She and her mate both really wanted to e parents, and even she was not especially thrilled at the thought of spending a few nights with a male other than her mate, she wasn't giving up.
The spotted lioness left the abandoned den that she had chosen to be her home for the next few days and set out to find a watering hole, maybe even a small stream if she was lucky. Food was not an issue at the moment as she had caught a gazelle last night and her belly was still full. Maha moved trough the area swiftly and silently, making sure to take in every detail of this new place. She knew the importance of knowing your surroundings.
Plus, if there was a pride or a pack that resided here, it was in her best interest to find them before they found her, as she had learned during her coming-of-age quest. Tough as of now she hadn't seen or smelled anything that would indicate there were permanent residents in this territory.

Jamii had been wandering, unsure where exactly he was going. But he didn't really care, since he didn't have a real home anyway. His home was usually with a female he had talked into spending the night with him, in her den, of course. He loved 'em and left 'em the next morning before they wake. But not anymore. He knew that the next time he finds a female, he will need to stick around, so that he can take one of the cubs with him.
The big lion had been in search of some water as well, and was glad when he happened upon a small pond. Lush grass grew around it, and Jamii stuck his face in it's cool depths gladly.
When he had quenched his thirst, he looked around, staring at the trees and other foliage surrounding him. He hoped he would meet someone soon, since it had been days since he had encountered another soul. He began to clean himself, laying at the edge of the water and letting his feet soak in the cool liquid.

Maha's ears perked as they picked up the sound of someone approaching, tough they were a few feet away to the side, the tall grass preventing her from seeing the stranger. As silently as she could the young lioness moved forward and peered through the grass. Greeted by the sight of a male lion she carefully observed him, at the same time feeling very rude for ogling him.
He seemed strong and healthy, and his brown mane reminded her of Udo somewhat. He could be the one she needed. Hopefully he had a nice temper. Could she talk him into spending a few nights with her? Slow down there girl, you haven't even talked to him yet.
Clearing her throat to make her presence known, Maha nervously stepped out of her cover. "Hello there." She smiled warmly. "How's the water?" The words brought an image of the sea that was her homeland's border. She missed the sand and the salty water. It made her fur curl, but she loved swimming.

Jamii almost jumped as he heard the sweet voice behind him, and he turned his head, piercing blue eyes surprised. Oh, now this is exactly what he wanted. A nice new friend to talk to, or perhaps do something even more. The bet he had with his friend went through his mind, but he slowed his thinking and instead concentrated on the situation at hand.
"Why, hello there." He purred, pushing himself to a sitting position, shaking his mane from his eyes. "Oh the water is lovely, but it is much more lovely now that your reflection is in it." He said with a slight nod, giving her his most dashing smile.
"Where are my manners? My name is Jamii." He bowed his head low to her, using the chance to examine her exquisite form. "And what may I call you, aside from beautiful?" He winked playfully.

"Hello yourself." Maha smiled back and walked over to him and submerged her front paws into the water. It gave her an odd sense of comfort and helped her focus her mind. She pushed out all other thoughts and devoted all her attention to the male. "Mmm, yes, it's perfect." She said, giving him a sideways glance.
"My name is Maha." She introduced herself with a slight nod and sat daown across from him. "It's nice to meet you, Jamii. But what is a handsome male such as yourself doing out here on his own?"
