Now, does it come with full or trial versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements, Corel Painter Essentials and Nik Color Efex Pro?
Wacom comes with full versions of the software. I can still use my Photoshop Elements 4.0 back when I first got my tablet, for instance.
Thanks wingedbunnie!

Photoshop + Macbook = Orgasmic
I'm on my first Mac and I prefer the experience/speed with Photoshop AND Corel Painter over a PC anyday.

oh snap a MAC though? this is totally gonna blow a hole through my wallet LOL. i'll go check it out now, thanks :]
(Mac is not capitalized like that, just so you know.)
You can get refurbished Macbooks from the 2006 model pretty easily from such nice prices as $600 and such, depending on where you look. Check your local Apple Store, and occationally Apple's website will sell some good ones.
The 2006 model is what I have and it handles Photoshop CS4 just fine.
In actuality, though, Macs are not inherently better at Photoshop than PCs, at least, from a computer-specs perspective. (There's lots of arguments as to why Mac OS X is better for artists than any form of Windows is, but those are easy to find online in more extensive information than what I'm willing to type right now.) In point of fact, possibly because Adobe is really lazy, but the PC-version of Photoshop is 64-bit, while the Mac one is only 32-bit. This means it's difficult to open up files over 4 gigs large, but, uh, I know I have definitely not encountered that problem yet. But it is something to be aware of (admittedly, Adobe said that they were working on getting the Mac version up to speed by CS5, so...).
Anyway, this question is really geared more towards computer people than artists, so I'd highly suggest getting this moved to the Computers and Technology Forum, as the people there are much better suited to this type of question than the people here are.
As a bit of a hint, try to make sure your laptop's system specs are at minimum these numbers, but preferably higher. The higher they are, the faster and more responsive Photoshop will be, and thus the easier it will be to do what you want with it.
Good luck!
oh my gosh your a GOD D:
thank you so much for the advice. i learned a lot <33

What's in mine is mostly whatever comes to mind, although I try to make sure they're full ideas instead of just small sketches. I like my sketchbooks to be full of finished art, colored preferred. cool
Although, typically at the beginning, I have multiple pages dedicated to little character sheets on characters that are recurring throughout the sketchbooks. Favorites are usually at the beginning.
As for your sketchbook... what's a theme that you would like? Going blind here, I'd suggest making a circus-like theme. Then you can have both animals AND people! And make them all pretty! A-ha!
