It was a cool night, and while it wasn’t snowing, it was brisk enough for him to hug his shoulders. It was a good thing that his uniform gave him both pants and long sleeves or else he’d be shivering. While he usually hanged around the city, he was taking a break to return to his old hunting grounds in the part. The scenery was better and it was blissfully quite. No honking horns, radios blaring rap, or some couple bickering in the streets. Even on the rooftops, the city was noisy.
Breathing deep, he walked through the playground where he first met Serandite, and just to humor himself, jumped up and landed on top of the swing set. He’d been amazed when he first saw her up here, and now it was nothing for him. It was the little things.
Taking a break from everything, he sat down atop the swing set and stretched out. Sometimes it was nice just to enjoy being out and about.

The playground was a popular place for troublemakers of all kinds,. Lately, though, instead of the usual cigarette-puffing teenagers it had attracted a distinctly different kind of vagrant, the kind that wore skimpy uniforms and waged battles of light and sound. The explanation was obvious: Destiny City had been invaded by LARPing gangsters. Or, not quite.
Tonight, Sailor Europa was one of those vagrants. Along with Sailor Polaris (who she was 100% jealous of for the fur on her uniform - the pretty-shorted warrior's costume was very much a summer deal), she was patrolling the neighborhood. There was, of course, no such thing as a quiet night anymore - even if you didn't run into a lieutenant, there was always the odd youma lurking about turning over trash cans and making a general ruckus.
"Let's check the park," Europa intoned to her light-haired companion. You always had to check the park when you were out on patrol, otherwise you weren't doing your job right. It had recently been closed after a string of vandalisms and negaverse-related crimes, but that didn't mean anyone listened to the restriction. So, until such a time when everyone obeyed city bulletins, the senshi had to patrol the park.
Europa motioned for Polaris to follow her and they headed into the park. First stop, the playground-
Bemusedly, she noted that the blue elephant had finally been removed and replaced with a bright yellow giraffe.

-Polaris couldn't help but be mildly amused by the sense of deja vu that hit her like the cool night air. Sure it was different. Europa was dressed like her now.. instead of balled up in fabric like the prince of persia, and technically they were heading away from her home and not towards it.. She'd gotten to her not via computer, but through magical cellphone of doom. Funny that.. considering they'd swapped phone number for real not days before the meeting. But Polaris was in a good mood, confident, well rested and absolutely thrilled to have company she didn't have to force into it. And it was doing silly things with her mind, like dawdling on past memories.-
"Sounds good." -She agreed, finally snapping from her thoughts with a shake of her head and long ivory braids. It wasn't a place she frequented as often as she should while in fuku, and with the recent word of trouble there.. it seemed a good choice. Would there be alot of metal there? Well.. metal that wasn't totally bolted to the ground or three million pounds. That was why she liked the streets. So many litterbugs in Destiny City...
Eyes sweeping the playground briefly, she seemed to pass over the Lt in his outfit.. so well matched to the dark sky. Oblivious.-

He wasn’t looking for a fight, but really, he was pretty much asking it by being in the park. As nice as it was to relax here, it was a place that called out to senshi like a Bug Zapper to a bunch of filly mosquitoes. It was a lot quieter now with the notices around the gates to stay out, but he even passed a few couples after hopping over the fence. These were usually smooching couples who liked the idea of going to a forbidden place that now was more devoid of life, making them think it was a place just for them. It wasn’t, and he wished they would go, but at least they were quite. When he heard two voices cut through the still night, he was already on alert.
Turning around, he noticed 2 senshi coming his way. Two. He hated duos as the last one beat him before tying him up. Not feeling it tonight, he stood up and was about to jump off when he noticed who one of the senshi was. It was none other than Sailor Europa, one of the senshi from the last duo who made fun of him. Her ‘bright idea’ had kept him hanging off a flagpole for nearly an hour!!!
Instantly furious, he stood tall and watched as the pair walked without noticing him. In the dark of night, his uniform blended into the cold grays and blacks. This worked for him. He already knew the damage Europa’s attack gave, which was why he wanted her to either use it up quickly or not at all. What he was wary of was the other senshi. Wolframite wasn’t that great with two senshi, but he wasn’t willing to let Europa go. He wanted to hang her a tree from her shorts!
Leaping down, he picked up a rock and took aim for the short-wearing senshi’s head. Surprise attacks had failed him in the past. He was going face to face with Europa now. He only wished Libra was around for him to torment too.
Taking aim, he chucked the rock at the senshi’s head.

"So my boyfriend's a senshi," said Europa conversationally - this had come as a shock at first but now she was getting used to the idea and didn't find it so awful. She was even about to continue with that thought when a rock very narrowly missed clocking her on the head. It whizzed past her ear instead.
Europa paused in her tracks, looked back at the rock, and slowly looked towards where it must have come from. She held a finger to her lips. "Looks like we found something," she said, spotting the dark figure by the swing set. It wasn't such a quiet night anymore! Europa squinted through the dark.
Wolframite.
"It's a lieutenant," she whispered to her companion. "I've fought him before. He uses a jumprope." Somehow, this was almost funny. Almost. "I could blast him and buy us twenty seconds to attack him in, but I don't know how often I can attack. I might only get one shot."
At least he was announcing his presence before attacking them this time. Unless the rock had been- nah.
"Any ideas?" she asked.

"You have a boyfriend?" -She tried to hide the small wave of jealousy that this little bit of information gave. It wasn't so bad at Crystal.. most girls were either sluts or single, very few did she know that had honest to goodness boyfriends.- "How romantic! Why aren't you patrolling with him?"
-Two lovers.. fighters of justice, under the night sky. It sounded whimsical to her, but then.. perhaps they wouldn't patrol at all? Perhaps they'd simply sit around kissy facing the whole night? PDA.. so disgraceful. Drawn from her thoughts as Europa stopped, she glanced back and then forward quizically, finally noticing what she was pointing out.
Really it looked like a kid in the dark... which might have made sense in the playground. But perched way up there.-
"A jump rope doesn't sound very dangerous" -She whispered, eyes on the Lt as if waiting to be proved wrong. Eyeing the chains that held the swings beneath his feet a smile spread across her lips, adding lightly.- "Don't worry, I'll hit first. I can do mine a few times as long as I have enough to charge up. We'll just test the waters."
"Good evening Negascum!" -She piped up with faux curtiousy, voice echoing through the nearby trees.- "You ready to go down?"
-She didn't give him much time for reply, streching her arms out wide as she planted her feet.- "Magnetic field!"
-The rattle of metal around them sounded a warning, but in the end most of it stayed planted to the earth, well bolted and heavy. Only a nearby trashcan, some cans, and of course all of the swings beneath his feet made a sudden and crazy beeline for the Lt.-

Negascum? Wasn’t that clever. Not amused, especially since he had such poor aim and hadn’t managed to hit Europa in the head, he crossed his arms and looked at the other senshi. Another partner for the girl he was targeting, but at least this one didn’t have some scales to swing around at his face. Didn’t mean he wasn’t prepared for some off-the-wall attack without or without magic sparkles. The good thing about senshi was that they shouted their attack. It gave you time to prepare. As the other girl in what looked like fake fur approached, he already started to bend a bit to get ready to leap. It was good too, since the moment she yelled, he jumped. The attack wasn’t what he expected, but they rarely were. Instead of something coming at him from her, everything else around him shot towards his direction. Little pieces of lost jewelry, coins, soda cans, and whatever else wasn’t bolted to the ground. One of the trash can lids spun at him like a Frisbee and while he tried to knock it off, clanged against his side.
“Well THAT was annoying.” He pointed out, and started to brush himself off. Some of the cans of soda had sprayed on his uniform, leaving little sticky drops of stale soda. At least he knew what the other girl’s attack was now, and was going to sport a nice bruise on his side because of it. Not to have the same thing happen twice, he took the trashcan lid and took the handle like a shield. It was better than having it fly at his face. He also stayed clear of the swings now that he saw them flying around.
“Really, Europa. I think your other friend was better at this. What’s wrong with you? Can’t you fight on your own? You talk big when you have someone else on your side, but I bet you wouldn’t be so cocky if you actually fought one on one for once in your life. Is that why Libra isn’t hanging with you this time?” Who knew where that other senshi was, but for now, he felt more confident in who he was dealing with. Girl Magneto and Europa, the crusher. These two together would be a problem if he managed to get too close to metal and held down, but he didn’t want a repeat. What he wanted was for Europa to attack.
"Come on, Eu-ro-pa. You were full of yourself before. Why are you hesitating?"

In her defense, he'd started it. "Mommy forget to lock the back door again, Wolframite?" asked Europa. She sort of, sort of smelled a trap - so far things were going pretty slowly and she didn't want to make any hasty decisions. Polaris hadn't gotten a good hit and now he was wielding the lid like some sort of shield, looking like a cross between The Little Prince and a lion tamer.
"Did the little puppy run away from home?" she asked, pursing her lips. Wolframite. Wolf. Puppy. She'd just thought of that - could you tell she felt clever?
"Don't worry about him," she said to her companion, pointedly leaving off the other senshi's name. "His bark is far worse than his bite." Sailor Europa - abusing the ancient art of battlefield banter since 2009. It was a bottom of the barrel joke and she knew it. "Sailor Libra was busy tonight, but I just had to bring my friend here - she didn't believe me when I told her I'd found a lieutenant totally lacking a spine." This was, honestly, the best part of her job.
"Are you going to give me a reason to knock your teeth in or are you going to just stand there?"
Because the fact was, as soon as Wolframite tried to charge, she would shout "Europa deep ocean pressure" faster than you could snap your fingers.

-Her eyes visably widened, fists clenching as the insinuation that she wasn't very good, and that there was a better one out there, touched her ears.-
"Oh trust me. It hurts alot more the second time around." -She fumed shouting, though her mind screamed far more horrible things in his direction. Luckily for her however, the two seemed less than interested in her, and their dialogue pulled her out of her irritation, going so far as to crack a smile at her partner's verbal assault.
Europa's trash talk was on par with Polaris' usual flare for the dramatic. Which was nice you know. Partners that didn't clash. Not like Magellan or anything.
Taking Eurora's cue, she planted herself as well, preparing to make another attack if necessary.-
((I'm thinking aliens can pop in whenever they like now, yes? *shall leave it up to you two*))

By this point, the trio had gathered an audience. A rather unwelcomed audience, as they would soon discover.
"Irre, these senshi are very silly creatures."
The small alien with curly hair swung her feet in the air, hands latched on to the top of the swingset. She'd drug Irre out and about that evening (after having discovered this delightful playground!), and as luck would behold it, the senshi were out and about as well. "But they have the best energy. Remember when I told you about what happened to Corsage?" One finger pointed out towards the skirted girls, "They are the ones that will help the Doom Tree."
Clearing her throat, she finally made her presence known to the combatants, "Hey now, don't waste that energy on each other! Others can put it to better use, y'know!"

Irre wasn't fond of being outdoors after discovering the human's mystical being called "The Internet." Granted, she wasn't as addicted to it as Ilitzi, but there was still an addiction nevertheless. She stared at the senshi and the long negaverser, nodding with a wicked grin. They looked nothing like the pictures she saw on "The Internet's" page called "Google" and "Yahoo!" (If Ilitzi played that yahooooo-ooo! one more time...)
"Tch! These are the senshi? They honestly don't look like much, especially that one," she pointed at Wolframite. "Just lookit them! J00 honestly sure we can get energy from these?" She sounded doubtful, shaking her head and resting her hands on her hips. "I'unno, they look pretty weak."

Wolframite hadn’t been bothering to look anywhere else, and when he heard the other two, he stepped back and looked up. What he saw was by far one of the weirdest two people he had seen in a while. First off, their skin was not right, their outfits were just off the wall (which was saying something after seeing senshi and lieutenants), and they did not look right in the face. Not ugly, but very strange. For a moment, he wanted to say they were senshi just by default, but everything said they were different. He would have said Negaverse, but that didn’t explain the ears. The ears reminded him of Sci-Fi conventions, but human geeks would not be hanging around ‘terrorists’ these days. The curiosity the general public had went away and changed to fear. These two were just hanging around, and making fun of him!
“I’m NOT a senshi!” He pointed out, making that clear right from the start. “The bows might throw it off, but this is a uniform. They're not the only ones who have bows. They don't own that.” Just because senshi usually had bows didn’t mean the Negaverse couldn’t either. “..and I’m not weak. You’re the ones that don’t looks like much? I don’t know why your wearing elf ears, but Christmas was over a while ago.” Wolframite then looked to the two senshi. If these pixie-wannabes were making fun of them, then who the heck were they?

Europa assumed a defensive position, the one she was trying to make habitual after self-defense class. She didn't know what these things were - they were dressed as civilians, but they certainly didn't look it or act it. She would have assumed they were some kind of negaverse agent, but then she would be wrong since Wolframite didn't know who they were any better than she or Polaris did.
Doom tree?
She had no way of knowing for certain, but Sailor Europa was beginning to think that there were things on heaven and earth bigger and darker than the negaverse. At any rate, it looked like their battle with Wolframite was on hold, and these things hadn't attacked yet.
Tallulah pursed her lips, trying to take a moment to think about a best course of action. She could 'pressure' them right where they stood and then attack them once they fell, but then she didn't want to be the one to start the fight. No one wanted to be the one to start an intergalactic war because they got trigger happy. Luna would probably have a field day with her if she did that.
"Who're you guys working for?" she asked, trying to not sound nearly as confused as she was.

-Her eyes snapped immediately to the sound of the new comers, opening her mouth well intent on making some snide comment about calling for reinforcements after all that big talk. But alas, the Lt beat her to it, and closing her mouth awkwardly her gaze grew all the more suspicious.
Street hooligans perhaps? Kids that didn't know any better then messing with the negaverse? They had said senshi though.. Perhaps they were morns that went around harassing police officers and senshi and what not. GOD she hated rude people. But then again.. they'd said some other strange and bizarre things. Doom Tree.. energy? She was reminded to Sassolite's insistance that she should steal starseeds as well, because they were filled with so much energy and power.
Something wasn't right.. But she had no real desire to look or do something stupid. She simply waited for an answer, flicking one of her ivory braids back over her shoulder.-

The small nose wrinkled indignantly as the younger alien glanced over at her partner. "Work for? We don't work for anyone but ourselves!"
Now that the duo had gained the attention of the fighting trio, however, the real fun could begin. Sliding her hand to her side, a deck of cards materialized from thin air and the young woman spread them out before her. Dark eyes studied the images on the cards, and she pursed her lips, as if deep in thought. "These three will need a special one, Irre...hmmm..."
Eyes lit up as they fell upon a particular card. A card that bore bite marks from an unfortunate run-in with Ishi. Iya plucked the card from the desk, offering it to the taller girl. "Oh Irre can we please use this one? Please please please please pleeeeeeeeeeeease?"
