The bigger blue male had put on a bit of weight, now that he wasnt as stressed in his daily life as he had been for so long. Life had seemingly taken a turn for the better, and he was actually ready for a change. Maybe life.. Could get better completely. His pups had grown, but they remained close. He loved that he didnt have to fear them leaving him..Theyd forever love him, and remain close to him.
Even if he was quite the oddball at times.
Gleaming blue eyes glittered as they glanced around the forest line. The clearing was something he didnt want to venture into, and he knew Krigs wouldnt like meeting him here either.. He smiled as he thought of the female that had stolen his heart. She had done more than steal his heart.. She had stolen his soul, but it was such a pleasant feeling.
She would meet him right here, at this treeline, very soon. He could feel his heart beat a little wild. He loved how she made him feel, though it could be so quick to change if she made him sad.. Which would seem to wreck him.
It was like..
He needed her to survive.

XXXXXXMaybe it was the presence of another wolf or the hunger pains that jabbed him in the stomach that woke the small bundle of fur in the bushes nearby.
His small, scrawny body was covered in scratches from the thorns, as he had desperately tried to burrow under the bushes before.
Now, however, he struggled just to open his eyes, only to close them once again when the sunlight blinded him.
His body was mere skin and bones, as he lost his parents and his last meal not a season or two ago.
He slowly started to panic as the sound of his stomach growling roared above the sound of his fading heartbeat.
As close to death as he was, he was too stubborn to give up, let alone die. He knew another wolf was nearby, and he just had to get to them.
His body refused to move though, and his pitiful attempts at a bark came out as a near inaudible whimper, even when he flinched in pain when his earring caught a twig.

 Kriggertarpok was happy. Not that she wasn't always happy...but she was happier. She had a loving, doting mate -- whom she adored -- and she had three gorgeous babies. They were growing up, already past their line of adulthood, no longer her beautiful babies, but they were still hers. She smiled as she trotted, her lean legs eating up the earth quickly. She wasn't sure why she was headed out here -- why didn't Raven just meet her at the dens? but she went anyways. She loved him, after all. She was almost to him, she could smell him strongly now, when she heard a whimper. She froze. Sniffed. A puppy? Her tail gave a lone wag. She turned from her path, nosing along the underbrush. "Hello?" Her voice was strong, thick. She smelled...was that sickness? Worry gnawed at her heart as she began to search harder. "Raven?" But it wasn't Raven... It was a small, large-eared black and gold puppy... Skin and bones, starving to death. Her heart hammered. "Oh gosh... Child?" She nosed him gently.

XXXXXXGiving a small twitch that showed he was alive was all the young pup could muster.
Desperately, he wanted to wag his tail when he felt the warmth brush of the adult wolf, who he could not even see.
He wanted to hold on to the sweet warmth that reminded him of his parents, the days of love, food and comfort.
Trying once more to let out a small sound, but his throat was too try to let out anything besides a raspy sigh.
"M....mo...ther...." He managed to croak out, before his voice died down, his energy leaving his body at a rapid pace.
He tried to steady his breathing but it only made his chest sting.
'Won't give up. Mother's here' He kept whispering to himself in his head, until he managed to gather just enough strength to lift a tiny, quivering paw, and rest it on the other wolf's muzzle.
( I forgot to ask, but are we posting in a certain order? ^^; )

A puppy. Oh, the poor thing. He was so weak...and look at the size of his ears! She licked his face over and over, a whine coming up her throat as panic began to set in. No. Calm down, she told herself. She had to be the adult. She had to be mature about this. Motherly instincts kicking in, she let loose a howl for Raven, one that told him she was headed back to the dens, and then she picked that little pup up by the scruff and began to move at a quick pace back for the den. Just a little longer, puppy, she thought hurrying.

XXXXXXDespite sensing a small amount of panic in the other one, Toran couldn't help but relax.
He was being licked, like his mother always did to him. Mother.
This wolf must be mother. He didn't know who she was or what she looked like, but she was mother.
His body gave a violent shivered as it was moved, but he stiffened himself, bracing for the strong but gentle jaws of Mother.
Not knowing where he was going, the young pup tried to pry his eyes open, only to be hurt by the bright sun once more. He would just have to trust Mother.

The blue males ears perked, and he instantly reacted to his mates urgent howl. What was wrong? Why did he feel his life was going to change?
Though he laughed at that.. Life was always changing and yet he would never be able to embrace it happily. Change, to him, meant he had lost control of his life..Something he desperately wanted though it seemed he could never get.
He had been sitting with Dove this morning, soothing her worry about being alone and hated forever. He knew she got her selfhatred from him, and it pained him to see it was something so easily passed on. He supposed he took a shining to Dove, if only to help her so she never made any of the stupid decisions he had tried as a teen.
He lifted his maw to the air, and gave a returning howl. He was at the den, and he knew she was on her way.

Kriggertarpok moved quickly to the den, her legs pumping and her heart pounding. She hadn't stopped to consider what her Raven would think about this -- a new puppy, and it definitely wasn't his...or hers, for that matter. Motherly instincts had kicked in, however, and she wasn't going to let the little one starve... No, never. He wouldn't grow up alone. He would have a family, even if not by blood.
Finally she reached the den and sought out Raven, meeting his gaze, Toran swinging from her jaws. Her ears fell back at first, but then she felt a rush of boldness and stood up tall, placing the pup at her paws. "Raven... I won't let him die." This was a demand and a statement, expecting her mate to have a minor panic attack.

XXXXXXQuickly the young pup tried to steady his breathing and his heartbeat.
He could smell another wolf, but still could not see and didn't know what to think.
Was he scared? Happy? Perhaps even angry?
This stranger took him in death, and apparently refused to let him die.
The other one, what would the other wolf do? Where were his real parents?
Where was food? He tried to hold back small whimpers of fear but failed to do so, as he attempted to gather the strength to snuggle closer to the paws of his savior, taking in her scent.
She didn't smell like mother, but she smelled nice. For the first time in so long, Toran dared to finally relax, loosening up tightened and malnourished muscles.
