Chapter 8: Army of Shadows
Jasper
The Raichu grumbled as he walked back to the guild, having gotten no answers from his searching in the ruins.
That, as well as their new allegiance with Solaris had put him in a foul mood.
Then again he was almost always in a foul mood anyways.
So distracted by his thoughts and silent seething, he didnt hear the approaching footsteps until a voice hissed from behind him.
"Dropped your guard did you, Raichu? For shame~"
Jasper spun around in alarm in time to see the wave of darkness come crashing down.
Not a wave.
Those were Pokemon of some kind, but the likes he'd never seen before.
First impulse was to attack, but...he had to warn that damn guild and so he spun around and tore off with those flickering shadows hot on his heels.

Solaris blinked and looked up, something had triggered his psychic alarm system. Something big was coming.
The guild master leapt down from his chair and briskly made his way to the main hall.

Solaris---Jasper
Solaris appeared in the hall just as that Raichu soared through the doorway and spun around, slamming the two double doors behind him.
"What in Arceus name are you-"
"You may want to call your guild, Pinky. We have a problem."
"Dont call me Pi-"A crash cut him off and the door shuddered under the Raichu's paws.
Jasper spun and pressed his back to it to keep it closed.
"ALARM. NOW."
Solaris didnt have to be told twice, he turned tail and struck the alarm with a psychic from afar before dashing forward and helping hold the door back.
 
Jazz---Valor
Jazz flew into the room at the alarm, starring for a moment at the door that was beginning to crack and the wo Pokemon holding it back.
"VALOR!" He called, but the Salamence didnt need to be told and was already there, pushing his full weight against the entrance.

 KageA recovered Kage answered the alarm.
He teleported into the area and waited for Solaris to give orders.     Vira & Leslie & Elora & Jessica & TommyVira and Leslie came running, with Elora trailing behind screaming curses in Spanish.
"Is too loud!" The Growlithe whined.
Jessica also arrived with Tommy clamped to her back.
"What's going on now?!" Jessica shouted.
"This could be fun~" Tommy purred.

Jack followed in shortly after his lover. Trying to be discreet as possible with the relationship, only standing close to his side. This was just a little bit of an awkward situation... At least Solaris seemed a bit too occupied at the moment to notice.

Grim and Kewnew also shown up fairly hastily, a tad shocked at the scene before them. Feeling the need to pitch in on whatever the hell the Pokemon before them were preventing from getting inside; but both of their miniature statures would only get in the way.

Zen & Vertigo
Entering were Zen and Vert, neither of whom had bothered to disturb the others, who had taken to wearing earplugs to bed just to avoid the alarm. "Hey, look!" Zen said, pointing to Jasper as Vert rolled his eyes. "Him again? Why does he keep coming around?" he complained.

   Zerca xxxx Sinistrad xxxx VeronicaAnother day, another alarm. Arceus only knew what was going to be after them today. Zerca awoke first, sighing to herself and praying that the one time she finally attended a misson as a Croconaw, Vira would not be there. Veronica was already up, waiting to help at the smallest command. Of course, Sinistrad was last but together they ran in to the room where everyone else was meeting.

Zen & Vertigo
"What is that thing!?" Zen shouted as a Forbidden drifted closer to him, holding up its hands as a little dark ball appeared them. "Try and steal my soul, huh?" he growled, sending a huge Surf wave to cover the Forbidden. As the water washed away, the Forbidden was shown to have been utterly crushed by the pressure. "...Woah."
Vert, meanwhile, was using a Vine Whip to knock out of the air every ball the black creatures created. Sensing an opportunity, he swept his arm forward, filling the air with razor-sharp leaves that all targetted the Forbidden. Although it swayed as the attack hit, it soon launched another ball and was finally finished off when Vert said 'screw this' to himself and strangled it.
Neither paid attention to Selena or her weird minions, which might have been a good idea.

  Saraf xxxxx LancerNot two steps behidn Selena came the large Houndoom known as Saraf. She giggled maniacly under her breath and gave a howl that was somethign like a battle-cry. "Ehehe, well if it isn't the lovely little Sun Guild~ Time to crush souls and eat hearts!" she yipped with glee. Much more calmly, Lance arrived and took a slow drag off his joint before exhaling the smoke into the mass of midget shadows. The little things annoyed him so he couldn't really are less if they got killed. "Call me if I'm needed, Sely." he muttered, settling against a wall. Zerca xxxx Sinistrad xxxx VeronicaZerca felt like someone had punched her in the gut when she saw Vira. For a moment, she barely had the heart to fight against the waves of shadow creatures. Then, anger pulsed through her and she whipped towards them with a vicious growl. Opening her mouth, she blasted a Hydro Pump at the lot of them, destroying quite a few. Sinny was much more frugal in his attacks. By shooting off a few Spider Webs, he'd trap a good number of them and proceed to systematically destroy them with Psychic. Unfortunately, no one had direct Veronica as to what she should do. She wasn't stupid though, and ran back behind the other Pokemon to keep from getting hurt. Shivering slightly, she suddenly heard a voice that actually sounded like royalty. Flicking her ears left and right she cried, "M-master? Is there a master here?"It sounded pathetic but without someone to serve she felt totally useless.

Keeping a fault-proof back-to-back fighting stance with Kage, Jack managed to hold his own taking down a few of the terrifying army with Blizzard.

"You don't listen for s**t. The crazy looking Umbreon said that they want to eat your soul or something.
"But...Daw..."
The Treecko let out a whine as she reluctantly short circuited one that charged at her with a Thunder Punch attack.

  Orson & SpikeSpike remained where he was, cackling maniacally.
Orson, on the other hand, had spotted a familiar face.
Vira, the Sneasel he had fought before.
He laughed and charged at her, claws extended.
"Nobody to protect you now baby-girl!" He hissed.KageKage picked up another one of the little buggers and slammed it into the wall with Confusion.
"Do these things ever run out?!" He exclaimed. Vira & Elora & Jessica & TommyVira met Orson's claws with her own, causing them both to slide back.
"Screw off, a*****e!" Vira shouted as she swung her claws.
Elora was still burning Forbidden.
Jessica turned her attention to the female Lucario known as Spira.
"Come on, Tommy!" She said as she ran at Spira, jumping into the air and swinging her dagger at her.
Tommy followed Jessica, just in case she needed some healing later. LeslieLeslie didn't even acknowledge Jazz.
When he saw Solaris attacking his beautiful Selena, he just went apeshit.
He let out a roar and charged at Solaris, clawing at the Espeon.

Saraf xxxxx LancerSaraf waited around for someone to attack her. Through half-lidded green eyes, Lancer watched as Jasper locked onto him. He remembered when the Raichu was just a kid and his best friend was still alive... Well, that didn't matter anymore. If he kept thinking about the past, he would have killed himself by now. "Guten tag, kleines Jazzy~" he snickered in German. Knowing the he couldn't avoid the Volt tackle, he braced himself for the impact and aimed a Dynamicpunch at where he would hopefully soon be. Zerca xxxx Sinistrad xxxx VeronicaCatching sight of Orson engaging Vira in combat out of the corner of her eye, she grit her teeth. It was hard to not go to her, but she had been left behind and kicked in the face. Sinny continued actully being useful with his d**k-ishness. Veronica blinked in happy surprise as the voice actually responded to her blind call. Without a moments hesitation, she bounded over to the princey Leafeon and dipped her head in a bow. "Master! Oh, dear I mean. You are royalty of course, yes?" she asked in a very concerned tone.

"Sakura-chan is late!" the Skitty whined, running as fast as her stubby legs could carry her without spilling the cookies she'd just finished baking.
The others had left before she was ready!
Peeking inside the guild, she made sure nobody was watching before walking in and looking around. "It's so chaotic, desu~" she mewled sadly.
Zen & Vertigo
They continued attacking, but the Forbidden kept coming - it seemed as if there were nothing they could do against the tide of figures. Taking a break, they leaned against the wall. "This is crazy!" Zen said, wildly flailing his arms. "Look at them! They're going to kill us all!"
