Chae was in her home at the southern tip of the island in a small lagoon-like area a little north of Waplei Cove. Currently, she was in the water sitting on a rock, enjoying her breakfast of sea food in the large oyster shell she used as a bowel. Her feet stayed in the water, keeping her in her Naiad form. On the sands of the beach was her little hut, pressed against the cliffs. She had chosen to build it against the cliff to utilize the natural cave that was there, which she used as a storage area for water and foods such as berries.

Rais had ventured out of his tree home today. It had looked like a nice day for exploring this new world. He knew that the naiad he had met lived somewhere near here, maybe he would see her.
He ventured to a little hut and saw said naiad. He smiled, "Chae? Is this your home?" He called as he walked up to her. She had her fin in the water so he could see her true form.

Hearing her name, Chae looked over to the shore to see Rais. Instantly, her face broke out into a brilliant smile. "RAIS!" Diving into the water, she swam herself to shore, pulling herself out of the water so her fins turned into legs. "How have you been?" it was so obvious she was happy to see him, and if her face would have allowed it, she'd be smiling ear to ear.

Rais chuckled as the girl swam quickly over to him. She then changed forms so she could join him. "I have been well, you?" He had learned quite a bit from the HQ and it's library. "It's nice to see you again."

"Well, I'm alive and unharmed, so I'd say that I'm doing pretty well." She giggled a little, pushing some hair from her face. "I'd give you a hug, but I believe that'd be inappropriate for someone in your rank; that and I'm still a little damp. I am very happy to see you though, did you come all this way just for me or are you out on business?" Chae figured if he was here for a while, she couple make him some awesome sea food.

"How about a bow?" He bowed to her which was defiantly more formal than a hug. "I was out looking at the isle. I thought I would drop by to see you." He didn't know a lot of pae that didn't live in the Tree with him, or pae that weren't faun that he liked. So, why not visit her?

"A bow sounds well placed." She smiled and deeply bowed to him, going parallel to the ground. Bringing herself back up, she giggled and quickly pulled her hair out of her face. "Well, I'm certainly happy to see you. Would you like something to eat? There's an amazing selection of shelfish right on the rocks. I also have berries inside the hut if you'd like." Her heart was beating quickly, and she was finding herself breathing a little faster than normal; something about Rais made her just so excited.

Rais looked at the fish and shook his head. "I'll take a few berries." He wanted to be polite, but meat wasn't really his thing to eat. He was a vegetarian mostly. He liked to eat what he could grow. "I wouldn't mind seeing your hut." Where did a pae live that could live in two worlds.

Chae nodded and waved to him to follow her. "Come on in, Rais! It's pretty small though." Her place had no door to it, instead there was a curtain of small shells hanging over the doorway. The inside was decently decorated, with a table in the middle as well as shelves on the walls that held deep seashells that she used as bowls. At the back of the hut, there was a long wooden tub filled with water. Above it was what appeared to be a bamboo pipe plugged with a piece of wood. On the opposite side of the back wall was a woven mat from some grasses and long palm-like leaves.
Blushing a little, Chae looked to Rais. "I didn't make the table or the hut... I was lucky to find someone on the beaches who could help me with a lot of this. But, this is home outside of the water. Do you.... like it at all?"

Rais followed her in and looked around. It was very cozy and homey. She had used alot of nature to provide decorations and dishes. HE liked that. "It is very nice, cozy."
"Do you also have a home in the water?" He wondered what an underwater home would look like. Would she have the same things there? It was interesting to see how other ancients lived.

"Well, yes, but it's back where I used to live." Grabbing a shell-bowl from the shelf and ducking into the back, Chae came back with a heaping serving of berries. "Here, Rais. "Please, make yourself at home!"
Giggling a little, she tucked some hair back. "Well, I do have a place back in my home waters... you know, from before we discovered we could grow legs. But, I haven't really been there much, since I came here. I mean, I go back to check on things, but I've really made here my new home."

Rais took a seat at the table and popped a berry in his mouth. It broke open and he felt the cool juice flow into his mouth. He smiled at her, "That's really good. You picked them just at the right moment."
He looked around the place as he took more berries. "I think it's a little lovely home. Do you miss the watery home?" He knew he often missed the tree floated and hidden.
